My husband and I had our eye and retina exams done and followed up with purchasing our glasses from Lumiere. They have a fabulous selection of glasses, a cut above the big box outlets. I cannot say enough nice things about Lumiere Optique. I developed an eye irritation which I let go for too long, eventually finding myself in need of an optometrist on a weekend. I reached out late in the evening via email in hopes of making an appointment the following day. Much to my surprise Dr. De Mel responded to me that evening and coached me through some helpful steps until I could see him. What a pleasant surprise! I knew I found my new optical shop of choice. The doctor was fantastic from that first contact and through the exam process. Dr. De Mel was kind, patient and thorough. After prescribing treatment for my ailment, I left with an Rx for needed medication and also a great new eye glass prescription. Lamar was an great help in choosing a couple beautiful new frames and expertly fitting me with new progressive lenses. I saw an article about this place in the So Scottsdale magazine, so I thought I would check it out. It is definitely is a hidden gem! The shop it self is gorgeous, but the fact that I can get an eye exam AND stylish frames is perfection! Def a one-stop shop for busy, stylish individuals! They have an amazing selection of high-end frames. I chose two pair of Lindbergs, eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses! I love them, they are like eye jewelry! The boutique itself is trendy and upscale and from the moment you walk in you are treated professionally and respectfully. The optician was friendly and really knowledgeable, not pushy or overbearing like some of the other high-end optical stores. I went to a larger office to have my yearly vision checked, they didn't have the glasses I wanted and I heard that this place had a really nice selection. I'm so happy I came here to get my glasses. I'm so happy I found this great place through VSP. They got me right in for an exam with only a 1 day wait. Dr. De Mel gave me a very thorough exam for both contacts and glasses. He was very patient with me as he tried to help me get the right RX the first time...you know how it is when sometimes the physician may show you two images that are very similar in terms of clarity with only subtle differences as you drill down to the right lens. I never felt rushed. He had multiple sample options for contacts. The shop itself has very high quality frames with both upscale and regular brands. Lamar the optician is the man! He helped me find the best frame options based on my facial structure and worked with me to find the best looking one. He is a true expert on lens types, positives-negatives of each and explained clearly what insurance covers and doesn't.
