I called and asked "is free really free? Like $0" and told i need to speak to a coach. First red flag. Why not answer a simple question? I sign up for a coach to call. The coach texts and refuses to answer question until we meet. We play phone tag and I get another coach. Phone consultation and at end of call they want me to Come in. I say "I've seen ur negative reviews online. I need to know if free or not." She had ignored the question several before and that's when she tells me it "CAN BE" free. Whoa! Then why the false advertising I ask? O- I heard we had a wrong flyer out there with an error. "I have nothing to do wuth advertising. I just answer the phone." She proceeds to lecture me on the fact that I must not be ready for transformation if I don't want to pay. Just horrible!! The other coach that we had been playing phone tag with me also texts me some elaborate story on why they lie on their advertising. Sickening! No need to be deceitful if you have a good product/ service! I literally was looking to pay a trainer and if they do 1/2 of what they claim it's worth it. Take ur business elsewhere. We had a great chat and made sure to answer all of my questions fully and didn't make me feel rushed at all. My free intro class was coached by Chloe. She was very welcoming and so were the other members. Chloe did (and always does) a great job teaching each movement and proving effective cues all while keeping a fun and upbeat vibe! My husband and I have been members for 2 years now and it's safe to say it was the best decision we could have made. Not only did we find a great, safe, and fun place to workout, we have met some of our best friends which has made Denton feel like home faster than we could have ever expected. Jason and Molly have since moved the gym to a bigger and better location and as a member I feel super spoiled every time I walk in. The equipment is well maintained and there is plenty of space to workout without bumping into fellow athletes. They have adjusted SO well to accommodating new safety standards due to COVID-19. July we were told that new management was coming that following Monday. I show up Monday no one there lights off doors locked. No explanation try reaching out to D1 no response for about 2-3 weeks. Finally we get a call stating that their new management and they will be starting class back up and that we would have the weeks missed added to the end of the contract. Well everything was fine until December 12 when I get a text message telling me classes were canceled. I called and spoke with Corey and he stated that the facility was going to be closing for renovations. I already knew something was up. The space is small what more can they do to it. Well, he told me that we will be getting an email from corporate about what going on and that we will be getting refunds. I did receive an email from corporate that Sunday night telling me another lie about what they're doing and how they plan to reopen in 6 weeks but that we were going to be getting a refund by the end of the week. That was December 15 and today is Jan 16 and I still have yet to receive anything from D1. I have sent emails with no response. I called the Frisco location which is were Corey from Firewheel D1 went to. He told me that refunds had been refunded, but after talking to some the other clients that also attended D1 Firewheel they have not yet received their refund either. I've reached out to corporate no response the number for corporate on the website for immediate assistance goes straight to voicemail. I really thought highly of D1 the trainers were all great. But, the owners they don't care about us. They only care about lining their pockets.
