As good as the club is, and no doubt, great things are happening there, it's really expensive - and the last several months I have constantly been questioning if I should be paying what I do. I mentioned in my first review in July I felt the club was slipping. No question I have, and deserve to have, the highest expectations for this place but that comes from them. They promise us an "athletic country club" experience and charge for it - so I expect them to deliver. Over the last year, this club has been dealing with a serious member trend related to its big ticket item - the men's rejuvenation suite in the locker room, consisting of a hot tub, cold plunge, dry sauna, and wet sauna. Quite often, it's a wreck - as are other sections of the locker room. Wet towels and trash crumpled on the floor and in seating areas and in corners around this section of the club. There's sludge on sections of the floor at night after the big rush. Many of the men members of this club are acting like slobs - and Life Time isn't keeping up. I feel like the maintenance crew tries hard, but I've also seen them blow past the suite without even sticking their head in for a status check - as if they have other priorities than one of their biggest competitive advantages when it comes to amenities. I really feel like Life Time without this is mostly a four- or five-star facility - but this issue knocks it down several pegs. It's exhausting.

Good assortment of weight training machines, racks, and free weights. I do wish there was some more room in the free weight/rack area though. There's also a cross fit style open room, but sometimes there are group fitness classes taking up that space. Most of the time the gym equipment is pretty open. Between 5 & 7 or so is the most traffic.

The new lockers and great sauna refresh were also a great improvement. My only real disappointment is that I wish more attention had been given to the men's locker room during the remodel process. On my visit today, there were two broken showers, a lot of mildew in much of the tile grout and on the shower curtains, two toilet stalls out of order, and the hot tub was not functioning. I genuinely appreciate the investment made into the club, and overall the remodel was a big improvement. I just hope cleanliness and maintenance continue to be a focus moving forward, especially with so many fitness options now available in the Las Colinas area.

After class, Rachel gave us a tour of the facility and was incredibly welcoming and friendly, just like the rest of the staff. The gym itself is beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. I especially loved the white and tan interior design--it creates a bright, upscale atmosphere. The women's locker room is impressive, featuring lockers for personal belongings, a sauna, and a cold plunge. There are also convenient water refill stations throughout the gym. One of the most unique features is the slide, which definitely adds some personality and fun to the space! There's also an outdoor workout area in the corner for anyone who prefers exercising outside. Overall, Recess offers a great combination of high-quality fitness classes, excellent amenities, and a welcoming community. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

This was a really cool combination of intensity, personalization, and forward-thinking. The AI tech at each station watches your movements to ensure that you are correct form as well as counting your reps. It keeps you honest, and it makes you focus. You can make your modifications in the app prior to class and also get a feel for what to expect before coming in. There's even a recovery area with Hyperice products and compression boots, you can't go wrong here. Also, had the pleasure of meeting Kendall when coming here and she was really welcoming and informative. She was a cheerleader to all of us in class and is really friendly and helpful!

Great lighting, loud music, perfect environment to get in a solid workout. Staff at the desk was friendly, professional, and fast (had to check in as a guest so it's a little slower). I saw multiple staff member walking the floor, cleaning up and re-racking weights that other gym goers neglected. They clearly take pride in their facility. Highly recommend if you're serious about getting a great workout. Not really the place if you're more of a Planet Fitness visitor.
