We called the shop to explain what happened and asked them to look at it, but instead of trying to address the concern, they were dismissive and unwilling to help. Mistakes and delays happen, but good customer service means communicating with customers and taking their concerns seriously, especially when a bike comes back with a problem it didn't have before. After my e-bike was serviced it rode better than when it was brand new. The one thing I really don't like is having to leave my bike on the sidewalk. No one is officially tending to the bikes. They're just sitting there. They are a small operation and don't have the proper amount of space. My husband they did secure his e-bike to a parking meter when he dropped his off but he still felt uncomfortable about his bike on the sidewalk. What if someone crashes into it. We sign waivers that release them of responsibility blah blah blah. So we'd be happier if we had our bikes within the safe confines of their bike shop.

I was in the ballpark of knowing what sort of e-bike to get (tech-spec wise), but wanted it within a certain budget range, which was out of scope for my knowledge. Art helped me pick and choose what bike options I had within their inventory. Ultimately I took up on his decision on getting a Mangosteen e-bike. Art's recommendations and advice was the best to understand and good to know. If you end up working with Art, He'd hook you up. Store Pros: A LOT of e-bikes to choose from. They had a much bigger inventory than expected, since from the outside the store looks small. You'll most likely find something you'd like here. Accessories are readily available in-store as well. If you need a new bike lock, helmet, or maintenance parts (brake pads, and other misc. parts), they will be readily available in-store. Store Cons: While the store had a great inventory to look and choose from, it was more on the pricier side. Again, It's subjective per person, but from what I remember from browsing around, most e-bikes in this location start from $1,250+. While there are some affordable e-bikes in this location, the starting price might deter budget-friendly buyers from this location. Due note: the upside to these higher prices is that the bikes come pre-assembled, and labor fees are NOT included when buying the bike. That's a plus in my book. Only one employee may be available at a time. No shade to Art (more than anything go to him before anyone else.). Since there's typically one person on the floor to help customers out, there may be a chance of long wait times if the employee is helping someone else out in the store. If you're an impatient person, this will be a red flag to you. For anyone else that is patient, It's worth the wait. Overall: I'll definitely be coming back to this shop for bike-related maintenance, questions, and possibly buy more bikes in the future if need be. These guys make hands down the best electric bikes you can buy. I have also had a completely different experience when it comes to customer service. The business model is set up around an eCommerce experience but I have always been able to get in touch with them and since I live nearby, have dropped into the shop unannounced on several occasions. Recently my display was showing error 30H and I went by hoping to just drop it off. Davis was getting ready to head out for the evening but wanted to check a couple of things quickly...he determined it was a bad cable connection and sent me on my way with no charge. I have been riding my Luna for two years and put over 8,000 miles on it if that helps anyone considering the longevity of these kits. read more

I just bought a Sur Ron X from Luna Cycle and I can 110% say this thing RIPS!!! It's not even close when I comes to the build quality! It's built much much BEEFIER then my more expensive e-bike. This thing would drag my e-bike down the road LOL! I just wish I would have bought this a long time ago before I sank over $6k total on an e-bike that I've only managed to ride for approx 3-4 times for total of approx 80 miles. Waited for nearly 8 months for parts!! COVID has not helped but I can assure you that the Light Bee X is a darn well built Moto for the money! It's got my vote for sure!!! Just picked up a 3 year old Luna KHS 3000 for a screaming deal. E-mailed support to get a couple questions answered and Tony answered all my questions. Same day response, and then a few back and forth responses more almost instantly. My new to me ride has: 15 miles BBS-HD motor Fusion battery pack (Ordering charger shortly, already have adapter cables en route) Has been stored indoors at 70 its entire life except for 1 ride. Looking forward to doing a few mods right away, and then doing some more radical upgrades next winter to make it bike camping friendly. These guys Rock Hard! Luna Cycles was so helpful through the mess of my Lbs who botched the job. They caused delays and extra money (which is being refunded). Broke good brakes, installed battery on top tube in a bag. Could not even get on the bike, installed the lock rings backwards, took 4 links out of my chain for no reason. I was in need of an e-bike and had purchased a chinese hub motor and battery from aliexpress. Those started giving me problems immediately and The connections inside the battery pack were very poorly done and I had to look for another source. This is when I found Luna!!! They have custom made in US battery packs with wire bond technology (like Tesla uses on their cars) and have not looked back since. I purchased new mid drives and batteries from Luna and the support team has been amazing. Keep up the good Job Luna !!! read more

I bought the X1 but it lacked the power I was looking for. I don't think any other bike shop could match the customer service I received. These guys are great! Please don't buy a surron electric dirt bike from Luna cycles they are master distributor but if you need parts or have a problem you might as well for get it. I have 3 I bought for Christmas and 2 are broke and they don't have parts nor do they know when. $3800 a piece and don't work and have no idea when. If you are still reading, you might be wondering why it matters that you have a trusted relationship with a bike store. That's a fair question. Here are some things to consider. First of all, how do you know the bike is right for you (your size, your fitness level, your weight, your riding style, your skill level). How do you know the bike is right for your terrain? How do you know that the specific model you are considering has the right attributes, durability, power, size etc for your needs? If you are new to eBikes, the truth is that you don't have answers to these questions. Jonathan can help you. And there's a second reason to trust the store you bought it from. Who will assemble it for you? Who will service it for you? This matters more than you may realize. There are a lot of eBikes available from online retailers who will ship you a bike in a flat box, and then you have the pleasure of figuring out how to assemble it. If that's your jam, go for it. Personally, I prefer to have someone with professional skills who can assemble the bike for me. And even if you are cool with assembling your own bike, you will eventually face the biggest problem. Eventually every eBike will need service or repair. Where are you going to take your Internet bike for service? Not all bike stores will service the cheap bikes that you buy on the web. So, if your bike breaks down, you may discover that you don't really own a bike, what you really have is unrepairable e-waste. Don't make that mistake. Instead, I recommend that you go for the professional service from someone who knows what they are doing, who will sell you a quality bike that can be maintained. He does not take a big markup on the bikes, so he can't afford to waste time on people who are vague or non-committal or just window shopping. Don't be that guy. If you are not ready to make a decision yet, or if you need time to figure out your needs, do some homework first. My advice is to rent various eBikes a few times and ride around to get the feelilng of it, and then you will have a much better idea of what you need before you visit the shop. Also, get an idea of what a good eBike really costs (hint: prices for decent quality eBIkes start at $2500 and go up from there. Don't expect to get quality for less than that). Went in and ended up getting an Extremely expensive, all electric AddMotor Trike. I was ready to…read morepay in full for it, but salesman talked me into the 'Extended Pay' program through Synchrony Bank and the 'Freedom to Ride' program! IF YOU CAN PAY, DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM!! They automatically give you a credit card, over 30% interest! Before I got any paperwork for the 'free loan' they sent me an unsolicited credit card with interest on that card over 30%! I thought it was an unsolicited credit card so I cut it up and threw it away. Almost instantly, I got daily comments through text messages, why have you not activated your credit card? Your credit card needs to be activated immediately!! I don't want their over 30% credit card!! Followed by texts, counting down days to payment due! When I try and set up account on the Synchrony bank app., to make a payment, I find that without a Synchrony bank account or their credit card, They tell me that they can't find me and no payment can be made at this time. No Credit Card or Checking or Savings account, located with Synchrony. So I call them and get someone with extremely limited English at the Offshore Call Center!! This person tells me that they will only accept payments through the Synchrony Bank. Either mail a check or money order, or my personal bank debit card information. Tried to pay in FULL using my personal debit card, but would not accept payment more than $500.00. I am glad this is a one purchase only transaction, because I will never go back to a business that insists on me using their payment program, instead of letting me go ahead and pay for my purchase at the time of purchase! P.S. I do enjoy the trike, just not the company that I have to make the payments to!! I just won't be going back very soon to this business! I located a shop near me that lubed the squeaks and will do any future repairs I may need. Also, their "chat" is not actually live. They tell you they will contact you in a few minutes, but it's been over hours and I'm still waiting.
