I had a very disappointing experience here. I went in for a new Gel-X set, but halfway through the appointment I decided I didn't want to continue after learning the nails were only expected to last about three weeks which wasn't what I was looking for. The nail tech I usually go to at a different nail salon wasn't available today. He's always able to get my nails to last a month and a half. When I said I wanted to stop the service, I was told by Tristan who was doing my nails that had to either pay $60 for the hour of time and $5 for the removal or continue with the appointment. I felt extremely pressured into finishing the service even though I no longer wanted it. No customer should feel like they don't have a choice. The nails themselves look fine, but that's not the issue. The way the situation was handled made me feel uncomfortable and trapped, and it completely ruined the experience. I left upset instead of happy with my nails. I won't be returning and would recommend that anyone considering this salon ask about their policies before starting a service. read more

She built a wonderful rapport with Tristan, who seems to run the salon (though I am unsure if he or his family owns it). He has always been very kind and personable. At the conclusion of our service, Tristan popped in to greet us. He seemed happy to see Elena, as always, but then looked at her and said, "You have gained weight!!! You must be in love?" ​I was absolutely stunned. Elena is gorgeous. Caught completely off guard, I managed to say, "Yes, she is in love," before he abruptly shifted the conversation to soccer and said he had to leave. ​The moment we were alone, I checked on my daughter to see if she was okay. While she initially tried to say she was fine, the emotional damage had already been done. By the time we reached the car, she was in tears and just wanted to go home. Our entire mother-daughter day was completely ruined. ​Tristan, you should be deeply ashamed of yourself. It is never acceptable to comment on a customer's body, let alone a loyal patron who has brought you business for years. What you brushed off as a casual remark completely crushed a young woman's spirit and cost your business three loyal clients, along with anyone else we would have referred. Don't recommend this business at all. The owner is disrespectful and refuses to take accountability for mistakes. They claimed I received a cat eye design when I specifically said no multiple times. I only got a fill with chrome on top -- no cat eye design at all. I also got a pedicure where the tools clearly were not properly disinfected. After having to get the pedicure redone elsewhere, I found out I developed fungus underneath my nail. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable sanitation practices. Honestly, they really did a fantastic job. I got the deluxe pedicure and the lady really took her time with my beautiful scale and make sure that my feet looks like they needed to that. I really appreciate that she took her time and was very thorough.Lam that did my nails was just as wonderful. I visited Luna Nails Bar on a Saturday morning (I had an appointment for 11am) and it wasn't very busy so it is the perfect time to go if you want to avoid the crowd. It gets very busy in the afternoon so just keep that in mind. Also another thing to note--they only accept cash here! Upon entering, I was greeted immediately and the store is very bright and clean since the shop was recently renovated. I came in for a gel mani pedi and Sally worked on my nails. Initially I wanted to get cat eye nails but I'm really happy she did a test nail first because I ended up not liking it on me very much. She had no problem changing the colors and I ended up getting a pistachio color with chrome on top. The cuticle work was very clean and she was very gentle with my nails which I appreciate because I've been to salons that tend to be too rough on the cuticles and my nails end up hurting afterwards. The pedicure was just as nice and she used a nice scented scrub on my legs and feet before beginning the pedicure. I got 2 coats of funny bunny then 2 coats of bubble bath on top--definitely recommend if you like a neutral pedi! Another thing I appreciate is the techs here are sweet and conversational. The owners (Tristan and Sally) are very nice and you can tell they care about their salon/work. They don't try to push you to upgrade for more expensive services or anything either. Overall I felt very comfortable here and they work efficiently but meticulously. I recommend coming to this nail salon for all your nail needs! read more

Came across this Nail Bar due to another nail salon not honoring my appointment. I showed up at 7:30pm on a Saturday night and waited about 20 minutes to be helped. I didn't have an appointment so I was prepared to wait. While I waited, I ordered myself some pizza from next door lol. Anyway, I was helped by Jayden and she was so incredibly professional and talented. I got almond shaped acrylics, showed her an inspo pic, and she DELIVERED! One reason why this will be my go-to place is how late they're open. They don't turn away business. Oh, I guess the only con is they only accept cash as a form of payment. It's surprisingly hard to find a good pedicure spot in SoCal (my other spot is in Santa Clarita and I'm in West LA) so even though this is a hike for me too, it's worth the trek.
