On the day the business opened the owner gave me a GiftCard for 50% off and confirmed that it had no expiration date. When I booked a massage and tried to use it today they told me that it had "expired" and I had to pay full price. I explained that it had no expiration date on it and that the owner said there was no expiration and was told he had changed his mind and instructed his employees to no longer honor such cards! What completely ruined the experience was the aggressive tip demand at checkout. After leaving a $15 tip per masseuse, the manager argued with us and demanded $20 each. When we explained that the service did not warrant that much, he continued to press the issue. My sister was previously a regular for 60-minute sessions and had never been pressured like this before. Clean and professional place for a great massage. The prices are comparable to any other private massage center and slightly more affordable than the big Envy or Heights. The place is very clean and set up with a lot of privacy. A lot of privacy except the waiting area. You have 2 chairs to sit in and they face the front of the store and anyone walking by. Not very private before you wait but hopefully you're not sitting there for long. Parking could be an issue and always is, in this little center. Be aware, people park here illegally for high school games. Parking could be limited at the wrong times. The massage was very professional and I was given the full 90 minutes with a few extra minutes. I was escorted right o my room on schedule and asked about any problem areas or focus spots. The room was very clean and music nice and pleasant. No outside noises or distractions during the massage. You can reserve a time online or by calling. I reserved a spot an hour before and had no issues. I recommend giving this place a try if you are looking for an affordable, professional massage. read more

A small location but well done. It's a simple no frills kind of place. There's no fancy stuff here. Instead, it's a nice owner with hard workers (from what I could tell on my visit). They have mid week specials so I took advantage of that when I was in area. Texting or scheduling online was simple. I chose the 90min deep tissue. I was asked to pay upfront which I was fine with (I pay using credit card and tip using cash). This place stands out because you can request the Tiger balms without an additional fee. Other places charge $10 for this. The girl I had was fine. She was strong but seemed to lose focus after an hour. I had asked her, maybe 15min into the session, if she knows how to gua sha (a scraping technique). She said yes and it's $30 more. I agreed. She only did that for 15min which seemed short lived for the extra fee. The last 30min of the session felt more complacent and without much effort. I still tipped $30 as it's not easy to do any massage so I appreciated her efforts. I'd return to try out another masseuse who could do a stronger consistent deep tissue. read more

visited this place twice. During my first visit, I had a great experience--the service was excellent, and I was very satisfied. However, my second visit was very disappointing. I was dealing with shoulder pain and specifically called ahead to explain my condition. I also requested the same therapist who treated me the first time, and they confirmed that would be arranged. When I arrived, a different person provided the massage instead. Unfortunately, the experience made my condition worse. After the session, my shoulder pain increased significantly, and I also developed a severe headache. I informed them about this, but it was very frustrating given that I had clearly communicated my needs in advance. I have been to lunar Bay on multiple occasions. I've even brought my mother for her 80th birthday. The therapist were incredible. Always checking in to make sure that we were OK, but not afraid to add a good amount of pressure and have feeling renewed at the end of an hour. The only thing I didn't do was schedule an hour and a half, which I must do next time. It is well worth it! I was so excited to have a new massage place close to my house. So I tried them right away at their introductory offer. Upon entering before I'm even greeted. I'm told that I need to pay for my service upfront. I asked is this Standard policy and was told that they've had issues with people not paying after their massage and just leaving. I said that that it was my first time there I've never done anything like that, but if that's their policy, I'll go ahead and pay upfront. I don't think that the reason given was the reason she asked me to pay upfront. I think it was my skin color to be honest with you because I was treated so rudely I don't know why I didn't just leave but I stayed. My massage was all right decent for the price of $70 however, the receptionist kept opening the door to the main hallway while I was getting my massage at various times of my body being exposed. so she wanted a $25 tip for a $70 massage. They were so rude and unprofessional. My husband had a massage scheduled for later that day. I can make a whole other review post about the text message he got canceling his appointment. Also when they used the hot stone they just rubbed it on my body instead of using it for pressure points.
