But being closed when I made an appointment is unprofessional. And no answer when I called either. Rose finally showed up -- about 10 minutes after my appointment time. Of course she needed to open up shop and get the room ready for my massage. She finally gets started and I found the entire massage to be extremely rough and uncoordinated. I gave them a call and was able to set up a same-day appointment. I got the Swedish & Thai massage combo for 1 hour, which was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Before your massage, they give you an information sheet to fill out which includes basic info and a diagram for you to circle all of the trouble spots on your body. I was very skeptical of trying this place. I had never tried Thai massage before and Asian massage places have a certain reputation, if you know what I mean. But my body was in pain and my usual guy at massage envy wasn't around anymore, so I was desperate. After an hour session of half Thai/half Swedish massage, I can confidently say I will be quitting my massage envy membership and am now a loyal customer of this place. Alisa was so professional, sweet, and seemed to know exactly what my body needed. My lower back and shoulders are my pain points but I've never felt more amazing. They cover you with a towel for most of the time, but they're not that concerned with covering you up as long as you're not. 4.) I had my first appointment here today with Sukjai. It was a great massage and I'll definitely be coming back! It was a comfortable environment, private room, and soothing music. The massage itself was great and affordable. I went in with a lot of tension in my upper back, shoulders and neck, and she was very attentive to that area and definitely helped me feel better-- much less tension. I have had a lot of massages at more expensive spas, but this massage was definitely comparable and just as effective for working out tension and knots. I was experiencing very uncomfortable pain on my left shoulder all the way above my ears. It was hard to drive since I could not turn my head even slightly without shooting pain. I oddly tweaked my shoulder blade before work and by the end of the day the pain had spread through my entire back and I couldn't even turn my head. Took a muscle relaxer and was glazed over in the morning but did a yoga stretch work out which seemed to help but not enough. I spent the morning hunched over my desk scouring Yelp. Why the long preview? I was not sure if I wanted chiropractor or massage so took a gamble and it paid off for sure. I was able to get an appointment same day. Looked a little odd when I pulled up because there are other wellness centers in same building. Sukjai greeted me and asked what type of massage and on a info sheet and had me circle the areas of on a body drawing that hurt. The room was clean and warm. She used Thai and Swedish technique and "lazy yoga" poses (meaning I did no work, she did all the work) AMAZING how many areas I was sore I didn't even know were sore. She pushed and pulled and stretched me like taffy! Pushed muscles sideways at some areas which felt great. She hit the real sore areas and knew where they were and spent time working them out. I walked out of the office upright and not hunched anymore and felt fantastic!! I was in Thailand a month ago and had great massages - this was probably better than any of those. I pulled some lower back muscles a few weeks ago and even though they healed I still had the feeling of a pinched nerve or muscle spasms in the area on one side that was particularly bad after sitting for a while.
