They ask for cash but there are no banks in the area. I walk 20 mins to the nearest bank and only got $60 which is what I got. Then all of a sudden they say I gotta change the tired so i got all the cash leftover in my car and I came out to $2 dollars short and in order for me to completely pay with zelle. I walk in at 5:30pm, thinking they're 24/7 bc I was told that the day before when I called. The guy working saw me when I came in, didn't acknowledge me even slightly besides looking at me then continued a convo for about 10 mins, no big. The customer he was helping lets me know "I'm done, you can speak to him now" I see him dusting... I'm trying by to get his attention and he swats me away saying we're closed we're closed. If I could give this place 10 stars I would.. they literally saved me from having a horrible Friday with a flat tire. I went out to my car to find that I had a flat tire and after getting the spare put on I drove over to Lunas after doing a search of tire repair shops in the area. They had a ton of great reviews so I was feeling very hopeful. When I arrived I walked in, explained the situation to the technician and showed him two locations on my tire that had a large and small nail stuck in. Within 20 minutes my spare was removed, nails removed, holes plugged and patched and completely repaired tire installed for 20 bucks. No frills and you really can't beat that price. I would definitely recommend and would definitely return if I have any other tire issues! read more

My poor baby got a flat tire...I've had 3 flats in my driving life and each time you would think my truck is an actual child because I get all mama like with him ( yes my truck is a guy). Anywho it was after 10pm and I had to get to a 24 hr spot that was close to where my car is parked. You're like just put on the spare and then drive it to the spot. Sorry I'm a city chic who didn't learn how to change a tire... don't even try to shame me for it. I had enough air to drive the 4 mins to the shop. When we got there no one was in the spot, the guy went for a snack break. Once he came back he was a man of very few words. If I counted them it was probably about 14 words he said throughout the entire 20 mins. He smiled and it wasn't creepy so that was good. There was a lovely metal sliver that was stuck in my tire. Went with the new option, they didn't have it at the location i was at, but they drove it over from another local location very quickly and immediately got it set up. Let me first say this is not my first time at Luna Tire Service. This is my go to place but I must say today I felt ripped off. I could be wrong and hope to get this resolved immediately. I walked in and asked for the manager. A heavy set Hispanic guy said he was and he very well could've been but he wasn't the manager I was looking for. I explained that the TPS light was on in my vehicle despite me constantly checking and inflating the tires. He scanned all the tires and I was told the passenger rear tire TPS was bad. I asked how much to fix he said $130. No problem. He went to work. I go to check out and he says oh by the way I patched the tire it had a nail in it. I said oh ok thanks. Paid and left. As I'm driving I'm thinking wait a minute. The TPS couldn't have been bad it did what it was suppose to do which was warn me something was wrong with the tire. The problem was the hole in the tire so why replace the TPS. If he had checked for punctures prior to doing that maybe patching/replacing the tire would've been good enough and saved me $100+ read more

Went here once in the winter to get tires replaced. Place is a hole-in-the wall, but it worked out fine. Came back 6 months later to do front break pads and rotors, and the dude "Jorge" told me *the day before* to bring the car "in the morning"... so I did... 9 AM on Saturday...... But he was nowhere to be found. And the despondent worker dudes there claimed that's "just how he is"... and literally admitted that he's "unreliable" in terms of when he shows up. Friggin' amazing. So I drove around and got breakfast. Came back at 10 AM. Same story. Still standing around, waiting like a clown, as I write this. Furious. Finally he showed up. He did a great job in the end. I discovered my car had a flat over the weekend and drove over to this place because it's only about a mile from my house. There was a line of about 5-6 cars outside along the curb, but they got me in and out in a little over 40 minutes, which is pretty darn good! The whole time, I did not leave my car for a second. A technician came over, jacked up the car, took off the tire, took it inside for a patch, came back, put the tire back on, took my credit card inside, and brought it back out with the receipt. Done! Great price also! My tired had a screw in it and they fixed it for about $20. read more

These are my go-to guys. I've actually been there a number of times to swap my winter tires to my summer ones. Pros - fast service - notified and fixed my bent wheels - very good price I even had to go back once because I thought something was off, and they were happy to re-look at everything (take wheels off) at no charge because they stood behind their work. I have had Really bad experiences on multiple occasions at this 24 hour tire shop. I needed some air in my tires, it can't get any simpler then that, I stopped by on 2 occasions within 24 hours and on both occasions I was left waiting outside while waiting for service. I asked for service and they were too busy being drunk and on the second occasion they were busy watching tv. With no customers ahead of me, in fact no customers at all, I asked if I could get some service and I was told to wait, I would understand if they were busy but instead they were just to busy being lazy. read more

My tire light came on last night and my car was driving funny. I wasn't too surprised since I live in Brooklyn, the land of potholes lol. Unfortunately I've hit my share no matter how hard I try to avoid them. I decided to drive here and get my tire checked out since in the area. There was one car in front of me but I was immediately greeted with a smile and was able to share what brought me by. They have it organized as a line in front so you know where your place is. My family has run a business in the automotive industry my entire life, so it never ceases to amaze me just how clueless I am when it comes to car trouble. Had a flat tire today. After changing the tire to the spare and attempting to drive off, I realized the spare tire had disconnected from the wheel (thank you 15 year old car). So I drive very slowly down to Luna's. It was very busy when I arrived, so we waited patiently for about an hour while the owner worked furiously fast. Eventually he looked at the tire and realized how badly the rim of the wheel had been damaged (oops). So he took the time to bend it back into shape, and repair the tire. He also repaired the spare tire, which I wasn't even expecting! He was very friendly and made small talk while doing the work, and after 30-40 minutes things were good to go. Total charge was $30! I was shocked, and expected to pay a lot more (especially on a sunday evening at 5pm) The experience was completely worth the wait. Luna's made a stressful day end on a pleasant and positive note. Driving in Brooklyn at night in the rain is like walking barefoot through a mine field. Good thing Luna tire shop was there to ressesitate a torn tire on a Saturday night when everyone else was closed or tried to convince me that my wheel was broken. I drive a Mercedes C300 so the though of a broken wheel was the worst news imaginable since I was driving out to Montreal (10hrs) at 6am next morning. When I brought my car in the super nice guy was able to detect the problem right away and even shaved down a tiny crack on the wheel base for me, he also went to great lengths of going to pick up a tire replacement from a different shop when he realized they didn't have my exact tire in stock. 30 mins later I was on my way :) Luna saved my night and my road trip and for that I am forever grateful! read more

I can't help but to give it at least a 4-5 star, even though the staff here weren't the upright friendliest of the bunch.. I came out from dinner and dessert around 9:30PM and realized that I had a flat tire.. for some reason, mini's don't come with a spare tire and instead are equipped with a "run-flat" which supposedly can get you about 30-40 miles (to a place to fix the tire). I strolled into here around 10PM on a Thursday evening... after semi-panicking and calling 10 difference places and finding them to all be closed (of course..), until I came across Luna Tire Shop in Park Slope. They are open 24/7. I repeat, they are open 24/7! This place is a small little shop on the corner of the block and literally use jacks/stands to change your tires double parked in front of a fire hydrant (lol! gets the job done though right?) I called ahead to see if they were open and to see if they had my tire. They told me that they only had a used tire (50% tread left; original price $250) that would fit and could mount, balance, and be all good-to-go for $60 total. As they were trying to find the culprit, he told me he could patch it up and I didn't need the new tire; so best part was, he charged me $15 bucks and I was good to go without buying the used tire! They were very knowledgable and prices were fair. I would recommend this place for basic tire needs. read more

First of all, these guys have realistic hours. 24/7 agrees with just about ANYONE'S work schedule. Often I'm trying to get work done on my car and the shops close at 5. That's a whole hour before I'm off work and able to bring my car in. Or, if they're open weekends, it's just on Saturday til 2pm. Come on buddy I get plastered Friday nights, what makes you think I'm waking up and driving before 4pm? So on the hours, these guys are the front runners. Then it comes to service. Don't bother calling these guys, whoever answers the phone is an IDIOT. Instead, just roll up and talk to the guys in the shop. They're knowledgeable and won't rip you off. If you're stern and know your ish, they'll cut you a deal. Either way, it'll be a value, so just know you're in for a good job. I'd rate them all 5, but I made the mistake of calling in. Whoever answers must be the unintelligible boss. He doesn't really understand what you're saying, his reception is horrible and HE WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF. What he quoted me over the phone was $90, the guys at the shop charged $50. All I wanted was all 4 tires balanced and one remounted. After they found a few issues with one they patched it up for $10 more and I was set to go. As a testament to their job well done, my car no longer rattles at 65mph, showing that they indeed balanced the wheels perfectly. read more

My life as a car owner changed significantly for the better after I discovered Luna. I live about 2 miles away and I never worry about getting flats or slow leaks anymore because I know that if I do, I can just come here. They are open 24/7, which is the best thing about this place. (They do close on major holidays, so be sure to call before heading over if it's a holiday.) Been here at least half a dozen times in the past two years when I had slow leaks, which I get a lot of due to all the construction near where I live and work, from screws, nails and such. It is a small shop, a storefront on a corner. The cars line up on the street and they do the work on the street. Every time I've been there they have patched or plugged my bad tire and had me out within 30-40 minutes. Once I went because I had filled my tires the night before and the TPMS light was back on. The guy checked all my tires and said they were low (which means the gas station I went to likely had a non-working air pump + my gauge wasn't working). He charged me $5 or $10, I forget. I've also gone in and had them check a tire and tell me they couldn't find any problem with it, so I trust them. I'm about to head over there this morning because I filled all 4 tires the other night and TPMS is back on .... probably yet another slow leak or maybe a sensor failure. Just be sure to have cash on you when you go or get it from the ATM across the street. They charge extra if you use a credit card. read more

I usually come here to have my wheels (rims and tire) switched from my summer to winter sets and vice versa depending on the season. They've also helped diagnose my flat tires. They have done excellent work and are very affordable compared to other garages. And I love that they are open 24 hours. There are several caveats. Their "garage" is the street, so it can be dangerous in terms of cars passing by while they're doing their work. Also, this is a first come first serve kind of place, so you there could be a long wait. The most I've waited is probably between 15-30min. Lastly, if it's raining or really cold and you prefer to be in their shop, then you'll have to deal with the fumes/smell of a car shop. Despite the above, I really like coming to this place to have my wheels changed. I will be coming back. read more

Well it's a tire shop and every time I go....unfortunately with a tire issue the same gentleman is there. He is a cordial, good working guy who knows what he is doing, does it quick and well. Pulled up right in front of the shop where they have jacks ready to go. It took less than 10 minutes to remove, seal leak in, replace and inflate the tire.
