This wasn't my first trip to Rubber Brothers. Let's face it: nobody is happy about going to the Flat-Fix place, but we're all glad to find them open! This spot has been my go-to for a few years and a few cars. Unfortunately, my tire pressure monitor didn't alter me to the flat I had and I ruined my tire. Mike contacted my tire insurance company, got me an exact replacement, and found & repaired a bend in my wheel. He was working solo that day, due to a staffing emergency. He handled every customer with calm courtesy and a professional attitude. He even called me the next day to make sure everything was okay. Ok so I'm driving on the bum As* belt Parkway and my tire blows out. Luckily for me it was right before the Flatbush avenue exit. I yelped tire places and this place was the only one open within close proximity. Normally after reading the reviews I would have found another place. But I'm glad I didn't. On my way to visit friends I managed to get two flats on the way and stopped at a gas station only to be td that I would need to purchase 2 new tires that would have to be ordered from the dealer as the car is a new lease. Lucky enough I found this shop a few blocks away and the owner was extremely helpful. He was able to repair both tires In a short time and saved me a bunch of money. I had to call The police to help me That's how bad they are They are liars and cheaters and sell you used ripped tires at exorbitant amounts to take advantage of customers who are in an emergency. They told me they couldn't patch my tire and sold me a used tire with a hole in it for 300. When it became flat I called the owner and told him so he said he ordered me a Chinese tire to replace it. When I came in to complain he wouldn't change my tire and told me to come back another day to change it as if I could drive on a flat tire. I had to call the police to help me. STAY AWAY! CON ARTISTS! TRY TO SELL YOU STUFF YOU DONT NEED! I ran over an industrial sized bolt and proceeded to Rubber Brothers to get a plug. *the bolt was in the tread pattern towards the middle of the tire, it was 100% fixable with a plug or patch. i get there and the guy 1. asks me for the tire lock, i say i have to look for it, he then says that if they have to remove the security bolt (probably with a drill out) that it will "cost me" i'm already turned off by his attitude and his nickle and diming procedure, I don't mind and produce the key, he then says oh its too big it can't be fixed, you'll need a new tire. I go, are you sure? i know these types of punctures are easily fixable with either a plug or a patch, he goes, yeah im sure, i cant fix that. i really think it had to do with showing up at 7pm (they close at 8pm) it was too little money for too little return. guess what, i won't be coming back here. oh btw, the tire was covered under Costco's road hazard warranty and I took it to costco in Sunset Park and THEY PLUGGED IT. I haven't posted in many years but just had to in this instance. A few days ago my wife's car had a flat tire and I unfortunately was in a rush and couldn't go to my usual tire place. After removing an albeit large piece of metal from the tire, the gentleman told me that this brand new tire could not be patched and had to be thrown out. I knew this was wrong. The guy quoted me $350 to replace the tire. I told him that I could get the same tire online for $215. He then showed me his phone which showed the online price at $225. I told him to give me the cheapest used replacement he had so I could be on my way to work. He put on a used tire with barely any tread on it. Charged me $120. I asked him for my old tire back. He had already put my old tire away and begrudgingly went to get it. Today I went to another tire place. They patched up the tire that, according to the guy at this place, was unpatchable. It cost me $20 plus $3 fee to leave the unsafe tire this place sold me for $120. This guy is not honest. It's unfortunate that this is one of the few places that is in my neighborhood. I went to the Rubber Bros this morning for a slow leak in one of my tires .. I found the gentleman who helped me to be extremely helpful and forthcoming .. he took the tire in the back found the problem brought me in to see the problem ., he explained my options .. said he could patch it but that at some point Down the line I might need a new tire given the location of the problem ., he didn't try to push the new tire on me today just explained my options and said it's your choice ., I appreciated the help and the information and the no pressure feeling .. Mike from Rubber Bros (Brothers) is by no means a robber. In fact, he is far from it and will not rub (PUN!) you the wrong way. As a case in point, I was referred to him by Larry Cycles on Flatbush Ave to address a problem with my Tricycle. Yes, you heard it right. Initially, I was skeptical if his shop to correct a tricycle tire problem and upon meeting him, he reassured me that he would fix the problem. What struck me right away that he was honest and very professional. I expected to pay more and had to ask him twice if the price was right and said that I was expecting to pay more. That's why I don't own a farm because I would probably give it away to the first person I meet. In any event, he handled the repair task very efficiently and was extremely cordial with great camaraderie and articulation skills for a tire guy that would have made Shakespeare proud. I don't have any need for tires at this juncture but if the need arises, I know where to go. He may even be the best man at my wedding, however, not in the immediate future. Most overpriced tire shop I've ever seen. To replace a TPS that I had in my possession they wanted $40. Just to dismount a tire, basically install a valve, and remount? I've gone there before this time and had them do a patch for $25, but I had no choice, had to bite the bullet on that one. This time I say "No more!" I went to another tire shop and had the TPS installed for a cool 10 bucks. I'll save you lots of time and money, stay away from this place. They don't deserve to still be in business because they're only trying to take advantage of people. read more

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! I normally buy my tires online or go to Mike's Tires they normally charge me $350 brand new plus installation. But they was close by and I was in a rush. Trust me dont waste your time or money. They Charged me $300 for a new tire and I thought it was a good deal.. so I agreed. When they Installed the tire, they put the tire on wrong way on my car....inside out. When I got home we turned the tire around the tire had a huge bubble on the outerwall of the tire. Thats why he installed it inside-out ...the wrong way, so I wouldn't see the damage. He put myself and my family's life at risk. When asked him to to replace it or give me my money back he wouldn't. Then charged me another $125... at this point I have no choice. Im already out $300 and to start from scratch would only cost me even more. The tire brand new with two year warranty is $323 with shipping included in tirerack.com (long story short): I ended up paying the $125 making my total now $425 with no warranty on a brand new tire. Plus this has to be the slowest tire shop in the world! What a scam. Please take your business somewhere else. All those postive reviews are from his friends. The reaI reviews are all negative because they come from real customers just like me. I have never wrote a review in my life. But this guy forced me too. His Workers are very nice. Poor customer service, I changed my mind after I handed over the $100 deposit because I should have listened to my instincts 5 minutes sooner. They refused to give me my money back. Went yesterday at 10AM in a rush and the man pretty much says the same same thing in one other review i read, he asks me for the tire lock and when i go to get it, he seems annoyed already, i give him the tire lock and he proceeds to take the tire off at a snail's pace and as soon as he gets it off he says he can not guarantee it will be fixed because of where the nail is. laughing as this job is not rocket science. I start getting Brooklyn with him and now he's on the phone and claims he has to call someone. The nail was on the inner half of the tire and by no means in the sidewall, my tires are all fairly new and have about 5k miles on them. He then says it's $25 and he still can not guarantee he can patch because of where the nail is. He's priming me to buy a used tire. This is not my first rodeo so now i get down to his language and tell him to put the effing tire back on as he's a flat out thief. He's does and tries to shake $10 off of me, i gave him $5 and left. I drove to my usual guy G's tire on McDonald and what do you know, patched in 20 minutes. no problem $15. Go to G's it's about 10 mins away and avoid this place and that slimy scum unless you want to place you and your family in danger, never mind be out a bunch of money. read more
