This place just opened so hopefully it will improve over time. When we first walked in we were not sure if we should take a seat or order at the counter. Two employees sat talking in the booth across the counter and said nothing. After several minutes we picked up a paper menu & began to look at it. One of the girls finally asked if we were dinning in or takeout. We said dinning in. She said "take a seat & I'll bring you menus". She did not ask us what drinks we wanted & sat back down talking to the other employee in the booth. Another couple walked in and exact same thing happened. They stood there forever before being acknowledge, and once they grab the paper menu, they were acknowledge. The lady finally came over and asked us what we wanted to drink. We told her we were also ready to order. Several other couples came in all ignored at first, and not knowing what to do, or how to order because the set up is a little strange. The other employee finally got out of the booth & went to the back(it only took 10 customers) They do not provide you with chips and salsa, but you can order them I think for $2.50. The tacos are all à la carte and the burrito came with fries. They seemed to be out of a lot of meat choices saying they weren't ready yet. it was 5:30p so you think they would be ready for the dinner rush. Everything was tasty; however, this was the first time in my life the corn tacos were not double wrapped so as you can imagine they fell apart. The refried beans were black beans versus pinto, but that's not a deal breaker & the beef is steak so that's a good sign no ground beef. Overall happy with the food, but the service needs a lot of work. Also the drive thru was closed which is probably a good thing with the staff that was working the day we went they wouldn't be able to multitask & I would think you would wait forever in your car for this type of food. Will definitely try it again.

So delicious and wonderful! This was our first time and service was amazing! We had the shrimp tostadas and carnitas gorditas! Also got the churros to go! Definitely will return!

Tried this new place today with my 13 year old daughter for the first time. Wow was I surprised!…read more The food is very close to authentic. Their food options (like beef tongue tacos) remind me of eating in South America. Staff is nice and prompt. Reminds me of a real Mexican restaurant (but in good condition). We weren't too hungry so we only had a taco and nachos but it was legit. It has a small full service bar and TV's with soccer on..... this place didn't feel like it was forcing itself to be Mexican, it just is. Try this place!

I came here for my birthday and was so disappointed. I was excited to enjoy authentic Mexican food and the tiktok my daughter showed me did a good sale. I drove an hour out of the way and first saw the food sitting out that looked kind of cold and dry. We chose to get the tacos and carnes asada and was informed by the waitress the prices are different from what was on the menu. I asked for a tequila drink and it had mostly ice and tasted more like water than anything. The tortillas were dry and cracked to the point we couldnt even eat with them. The only good thing was the decoration. The worst part was the huge guy in the front of the restaurant. When the bill returned much higher than three plates and a drink should cost, he refused to proved a itemized receipt and also refused to let us speak to the waitress. Luckily, she came by and resolved a least some of the discrepancies. He was rude and said there are many more customers and that we are one of many.

I love the specials, I love the atmosphere, and I love the community involvement. Had lunch at the bar yesterday and ordered the Beet/Goat Cheese salad. Outstanding! And so were the fried oysters! I love the service at the bar, and obviously, from the looks of it, many regulars love it also. Great little gem and a real asset to Howard County.

Don't get me wrong those steak tacos absolutely slapped! The wings and tostones were just okay. The tostones had some parts that were super crunchy, and other bites that weren't. My partner thought they were just okay, but I wasn't a big fan,, I'm probably a bit biased cause I prefer fried plantains and I think have more of that plantain flavor. I did appreciate whatever was in that house sauce tho holy moly Wings were okay!! We got the loco dust; nothing groundbreaking but they were good! The real star of the show was the steak tacos we shared- it hit the spot of our taco craving!! The red onion was over powering sometimes, I love pickled onion so I didn't mind too much but for others I've heard it's hard to taste anything else after you've had so much of it which I understand. In total, it was around $50. I don't know if it was totally worth it but it was okay!
