But I have overheard other people at other tables rave about it. 2. The service is always amazing. Today we had Riley who had an extremely busy section but she kept up with all her tables. Brian one of the managers came up and introduced himself to let us know that if she got too busy we could alway flag him down for assistance, but that was never the case. I watched as both kept up as the restaurant quickly filled up with the dinner rush. Riley never missed a beat and check on her tables frequently as well as answered any questions. Brian was constantly walking around introducing himself to guests and making everyone feel welcome. You know you're at a good spot when a manager comes by just to say hi and check to make sure everything is going well. 3. They also take allergies very seriously which is helpful for myself as I do have food allergies and so does my friend who I took to this restaurant. In the past they even circled all the food I was safe to eat. I honestly don't know of another place that has or will do that. 4. The food is perfect sizing. They suggest ordering multiple dishes to share but honestly the size is perfect for a single serving. "Negatives" you really do need to make a reservation and you have to make it probably 48 hrs in advance. I've tried making one 24hrs and haven't been able to get the time I wanted, and same day reservations are nearly impossible. I have walked in on a whim and was able to get bar seating with a friend. When it gets busy it for some reason it just feels extremely loud, and this could be a me thing, but I have felt most times I've come that once the rush comes in it can be hard to hear your table.

When we arrived, we had to wait a few minutes to be seated as the restaurant was fairly busy on a Monday night, I assume due to the happy hour special that runs all night. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer to start and some drinks. The appetizer came out promptly and was nicely done, with plentiful helpings of burrata and cherry tomatoes layered with balsamic pearls. The pearls have the appearance of caviar so it was a pretty and flavorful twist. Unfortunately, that was the end of the positives. Our dinner entrees included the chicken parmesan and grilled salmon. Both were overcooked and the salmon in particular (I asked for it to be rare in the center) was so throughly cooked it had a very grainy texture. The sauce was bland and the pasta overly soft. Service was pretty one-note as well, not rude but not particularly attentive either. Dinner ran $120 with tip including two cocktails and one beer. Really disappointing.

The chicken and prosciutto were good in my dish but the linguine had so much garlic it was nasty tasting. I ate the chicken but the overpowering taste of the garlic was very bitter and unpleasant. I ate only a small portion of it. Now I feel a bit nauseous and I know it is from the garlic. That seemed to be the only seasoning in the dish and was definitely too much. And our location was not pleasant. We were not in the main dining room but in what seemed to be a porch that could be opened in nice weather. There was a table of six other patrons who were obnoxiously loud and disruptive to the other diners in the room. Yes, they were having a good time but were negatively impacting other diners. Nothing was done by restaurant management to ask them to quieten down. Overall, the dining experience tonight was just bad. We won't be back.

However, once we were seated in a cozy velvet booth at a cute table, our experience took a turn for the better. Our waiter, Christian, was an absolute standout. He was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our meal. One unique aspect of Luogo's dining experience is that you place your entire order at once, and they space out the courses perfectly, ensuring that the food arrives at the table hot and on time. For starters, we couldn't get enough of the Beef Meatball alla Toscana, which, without a doubt, was the best I've ever tasted. Served with a delectable sauce and ricotta, it set the bar high for the rest of the meal. Unfortunately the staff seemed overwhelmed which caused service to suffer. The ambiance noise was so loud we could not enjoy conversations at our table, painful!! Food is good but this Italian restaurant does not offer "bread". The corkage fee for bringing your own wine in $55 per bottle and the restaurant list is limited and marked up over similar restaurants. He followed us into the parking garage designated for the restaurant (free for 2 hours with validation). She was completely unaware as he walked up to her car door and tapped on the window. As you can imagine, she screamed with happiness! This was the start to our wonderful time at V Modern. It was busy for a Wednesday night. The music was loud as we walked in but nicely muted at our table (11) behind the bar. Our server Stef was engaging and attentive. While going over the menu, we spoke briefly about our visit to Nashville and our daughter finishing her Master's program. He mentioned that he had finished his studies as well. Happy congratulations all around! We started with the Focaccia Tartufata and Marinara Meatballs -- delicious! Save some of the bread to pick up all that tasty marinara! For our mains -- Black Truffle Pipette, Scampi Moderni and Lobster Ravioli. The pastas in all our dishes were perfectly sauced and al dente. Nice portions and lovely presentations. Dessert was festive with the Cannoli Concierge. A server arrived with a tray lit with sparklers. Each cannoli was then customized and prepared tableside. Our son opted for the gelato. As we finished, Stef let us know that the cannolis were complimentary in celebration of our daughter. :) Beautiful restaurant with upscale decor. Ample seating inside and outside. Excellent service. Just a minor note that it got a bit hot at one point during our dinner. As we looked around, other customers were fanning themselves. It seemed that the a/c may have turned off. But this did not take away from our overall experience. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Nashville!

The Italian lemonade was uniquely interesting, with a slightly floral flavor, but it was delicious nonetheless.

We were blown away, the vibes were immaculate and the food was even better. We started off with the Caesar salad and I can honestly say it was the best I've ever had. The ingredients were fresh and you can see the staff preparing your meal. Our new homie Clark Kent the server helped us out with a few pizza recommendations. We went with the wedding crasher, classic margherita, and blanking on the last one but it had balsamic on it and was amazing. We finished off with the matcha tiramisu for dessert! Staff was incredibly friendly and the environment is open and welcoming. We are new to the area and glad this place is here. We will be back!
