Thrilled to have an all plant-based restaurant in Wheaton. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back to dine in as well as carry out.

I ordered the lemongrass beef with rice noodles and started with the spring rolls -- always here for a good peanut sauce, and this one definitely delivered. I asked them to surprise me with either wonton or egg soup, and the wonton soup totally hit the spot as a perfect way to start the meal. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed -- nothing flashy, just a comfortable, neighborhood spot where you can actually enjoy your meal and conversation without feeling rushed or cramped. The natural light by the window on a nice day makes it even better. Plenty of parking in the area with street parking and a lot just around the corner, which is always a win. We were seated quickly, and the staff was super friendly and attentive with refills. Service was swift, and getting a window seat on a nice day was such a bonus. Easy, comfy spot with great food -- I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in Wheaton or nearby suburb.

New menu! Still the same place, very nice people and somewhat challenging parking. But now banh mi sandwiches!

We were excited to find a Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Wheaton. The servers were friendly, quickly brought water & menus, took our orders, and delivered our food. The restaurant is spacious with lots of tables - very clean & nicely decorated. Free street parking is available in front of the store. The reason I gave three stars is the taste of the food. It was okay, but nothing that WOW'd us. The egg drop soup that came with the lunch combination was tasty, but the grilled lemongrass chicken was just okay in taste and a bit overcooked. For the price we paid, we wouldn't complain. The lunch combination is a good value. Just manage your expectations, especially if you're from Southeast Asia.

The new menu changed to plant based this week under new owners. This makes this a very special place now in the Chicago vietnamese restaurant scene, as I don't know if any other strictly vegetarian Vietnamese restaurants in the Chicago suburbs (the family told me they also run 2 vegetarian restaurants in Vietnam). Food is 5 stars, but I'm knocking down a star as the restaurant service was a little slow. Pictured below are the banana blossoms salad and broken rice plate, which were excellent.

We were in the area meeting folks, and decided to drop by to support a local Vietnamese restaurant. When we came in we were trying to figure out how to to be seated as everyone was busy working. We walked up to the counter and they welcomed us to be seated anywhere. After sitting they offered water and various canned drinks. As we perused the menu. We started with the beef lemon grass skewers and they are delicious. The meat was juicy and the flavors were spot on. The veggies under the skewers helped balance all of the flavors. After that they bought the Vietnamese sour soup with catfish. Such a nostalgic dish with my family and I was so excited to enjoy it. They presented it in a nice soup container and brought out rice. They had jalepenos on top for you to decide how spicy you wanted your soup. It was delicious, I stopped myself to eat the other dishes and was so excited to have it for lunch the next day. We also got the pork lemongrass pork chop rice dish. This plate was huge and enough for my husband and I to share. The pork was flavorful and the fish sauce was perfect to tie in all of the traditional flavors. I was also craving walnut shrimp and it was delicious. The only thing that threw me off was the pineapple, and the cherries on top of it. But the shrimp wasn't too battered and was full of flavor with the sauce. Each of the dish came with rice so we had plenty to enjoy. While we were there tons of people came in, so exciting to see such a well loved local business. All in all, we had a great experience and look forward to coming back soon.

Pork and Shrimp pancakes. So fresh!

I come here once a year when visiting family. Pho is great as well as the pork and shrimp pancakes. I haven't tried too many things on their menu but what I have tried has been awesome. Service is quick and prices are lower than what see on the east coast. If I lived in Wheaton I would come and eat at this restaurant every week. Highly recommended!

I didn't take any pictures of the menu but you can find it online. Parking is pretty easy. They have a good amount of seating inside. Food portions are more than generous. We ordered banh xeo, grilled pork tenderloin & shrimp egg rolls bun rice noodles, and pho dac biet. Service was very decent. It's family owned and run by a Vietnamese family. When we came in, there were a lot of Vietnamese that ate there. This place is definitely legit. Prices were very fair. I looked up highly rated Vietnamese restaurants and found Tasty House 1 in Carol Stream. This place is everything we anticipated it to be. The location is nice and has parking in front, inside is super spacious and had a relaxing and breathable ambiance. We ordered a family appetizer platter that came with all the delicious Vietnamese appetizers like: spring rolls, bbq marinated meat, fried eggrolls, grilled jumbo shrimp, meat wrapped in betel leaf, lettuce, noodles, cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, daikon, jalapeños, two dipping sauces: peanut butter hoisin and Vietnamese fish sauce. Another appetizer we got separately was the fried calamari which had a great crunchy texture, the absolute best! For our entrees I decided to build my own pho and chose tripe, rib eye steak and quail eggs. My husband got the spicy beef noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue). This is honestly the best Vietnamese we've ever had in our lives!!!! I'm so glad I found this place. Awesome service, food and atmosphere. Zero complaints everything was very fresh and perfect. Our hearts left super happy.

There is a separate vegan menu with half a dozen things on it, and other than the drinks and desserts, pretty much nothing on the regular menu is vegetarian. (The papaya salad, which is on the vegan menu, is a ringer: it contains fish sauce.) You've got your choice of various fruit lemonades, bubble teas, popping bubble teas, jellies, etc. Desserts include flan, Vietnamese yogurt, coconut jelly - none of which you'll be eating onsite as you'll be too full after your entree. Portions are on the large side - even the papaya salad is a meal. I got the peach lemonade, vegetable spring rolls and the tofu, vegetable and noodles, which turned out to be a soup, basically Vietnamese ramen. The spring rolls are tasty and come with peanut sauce; the vegetable broth was savory with lots of baby bok choy, plenty of noodles and cubes of fried tofu - it was even better with some of the homemade hot sauce, which I highly recommend. The lemonade comes in a bubble tea disposable cup and contains tiny pieces of fruit - very fruity, not very citrusy. Service was friendly and very personable, which helps if you're serving 16 people. All of whom were happy.
