We came here just after they opened for weekday lunch, there is a smaller dining area with a few tables with a kitchen in the back. There is parking but it did seem to get busy with the multiple businesses in the complex. Staff were friendly and efficient. Our food came quickly when we ordered and we appreciated the lunch special portion sizes. Appetizers were a bit expensive for the amount you get, but all the food was delicious. We ordered the crab rangoon and chicken satay, Thai iced tea and a pad see eiw lunch special with 3 vegetable spring rolls. The lunch special is available weekdays from 11am-2pm, come with appetizer of the day and the entree of your choice from a list. It was nice to see the place relatively busy on a weekday with takeout orders, delivery people coming in and we were one of a few people dining in as well. Delicious curries. My favorite is the panang and red curry, but all are delicious. The noodles are great (pad thai and panang noodles). The tom yum soup has a good tang. The Mongolian beef is better than any Chinese Mongolian beef around. read more

Somsri is our absolute favorite Thai place. We are regulars. They are careful to advise which noodles sometimes have allergens (sometimes rice noodle suppliers use gluten!) and we love their service and portion sizes. HIGHLY recommend. read more

I found this little hidden gem in the next town over from Wheaton. It's a small restaurant over by the train tracks, I've never stayed to eat there because I live close by. It's a family owned restaurant, they are friendly from the time I've picked u my food. They are also available on Uber eats I' believe. But so far these are the items I have tried: 5/5 stars: Egg drop soup- there egg drop soup is so good and unique! I have to be in the mood for this soup but they add veggies in theirs which I love. However, it's a little pricey for a vegetarian soup. I think the large is $10! 2.5/5 stars: Crab Rangoon- they look like money bags, which I've had before in a Thai restaurant. I don't know what it is about their crab Rangoon's however I feel like they're almost very bland and you can't really taste the flavor of crab Rangoon, which is why I gave that rating. 5/5 stars: Chicken Pad See Eiw- absolutely love this dish it's full of flavor, veggies and protein. 5/5 stars: Chicken Penang Curry- it's one of the most underrated Currys, but it's very good a little sweet a little hot. Served with white rice it's definitely a good try. What I love about this place is I've asked for a higher spice level and they have delivered! I cannot wait to try more items from this restaurant and I will report back hopefully. read more

A small thai restaurant that pretty much has customers shoulder to shoulder. I was expecting them not to have an orange dish on the menu, but to my surprise they recently added orange karaage which is just lightly breaded white meat chicken chunks tossed with a very mild orange sauce and vegetables. It comes with a side of fried rice. I also opted for shrimp cigars which is just shrimp and basil with a spring roll wrap. The entrees are about $13-$16 and the appetizers are between $8-$13. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. They brought out the entree first then the shrimp cigar appetizer (possibly a kitchen mishap there.) The sauces, including the dipping sauce for the shrimp cigars added nothing, being almost bland. The shrimp cigars themselves were disappointing because you take one bite, pull out the little bit of shrimp/basil then are left with half a spring roll shell. The food overall is ok, but lacks a lot of flavor. Everything was cooked well, with the chicken being juicy with a crisp outer layer which adds to the confusion as to why the food isn't better tasting. They also need to do a better job of highlighting drinks. The staff was nice, checked in every once in awhile & cleaned tables immediately after customers left. You can tell this is one of those spots where they expect you to eat your food quickly then leave, but are nice about it. In the modern age it's actually nice that they even have a place sit down. read more

Today I had the ground chicken basil for the first time. It was delicious - savory and interesting, with a just-enough sprinkling of hottish chili slices. My wife got their pad Thai with chicken. I don't think it's the best thing on their menu for me - a bit too sweet and the meat isn't spiced appropriately. But other people love it. So. They have a small dining room. No website for the restaurant so I call in without a menu because the dishes are universal; pad see eiw, pad woon sen, egg drop soup. Pad woon Sen came with green peppers in it but doesn't say that in the menu would've gotten it without them. I ask "do you have two sizes of soup or one" the guy says only one size. Then tells me 20 minutes till pickup, I wait 25 minutes then show up and it still isn't ready so I ask if they have to-go menus since I didn't see one online she says no we're out, no menu online no paper menus what's the deal? I pay and find out by reading a house menu this soup is $8.99 so I'm thinking okay they only offer one size whatever, WRONG I finally look at a menu and see that they offer a "smaller bowl" for $4.99 (barely bigger than a cup at most places). I still want to vomit I barely made it to the restroom the food had such a horrible smell and just tasted the noodles but am like no this is not worth it. We've been looking for a great Thai restaurant and have been finding only mediocre until we tried this little restaurant. Having only 6 tables, dining in may be tight but well worth the wait. This was our second try to dine in and it was pretty quiet being the day before Mother's Day. So glad we finally got to try the food. The Thai Iced Tea was perfect and the Shrimp Cigars sublime. I had the Pad Khee Mao with a mix of chicken and tofu, medium heat. The tofu was nicely browned, the chicken tender, the vegetables fresh and the level of heat was perfect to enhance but not overpower the excellent flavors. My husband had the Pad Lard Nar also with a mix of chicken and tofu with no heat and he loved it. The serving sizes were enough that we each have leftovers for dinner. My son and I wanted Thai, and to try a new place since my old place doesn't seem to be selling chicken satay anymore (why??????). So, I wasn't starving, and needed sustenance, so I ordered chicken satay for myself, and the shumai app to split with my son. The satay wasn't as juicy, nor did the quality of the chicken seem as good, as my other favorite Thai place, and so I wasn't wowed. The peanut sauce was good - nice and thick. The steamed shumai contained shrimp and crab and was very tasty. I could have eaten 50 of those babies. My son ordered pad Thai. There weren't any options to choose a spice level (he likes everything very spicy), so he was a little disappointed to get a non-spicey pad Thai.
