Food was tasting as it should be! Place is airy & not congested. Love the simple decor & appreciate the tidiness. Service is fast each time we visit. Slightly elevated prices but serving of pho is more than enough.

An absolute gem in St. Charles. It was a cold night after our fun visit across the street at Ghoulish Mortals and I really wanted some delicious pho. We all got the shrimp pho and it hit the spot. Super tasty broth and the large was no kidding LARGE. One of the server was great and polite....the other.....not so much. But it won't stop me for coming back for some yummy pho next time we're in St. Charles.

My wife and I have been coming here for quite some time now and it has been amazing every time! The phở broth is always on point and I'm one of those that don't like to add hoisin and sriracha in the broth. I like to add them on a side dish to dip my meat in. I will add the basil, bean sprouts, lime juice and jalapeños in the soup, however. One of the ladies that work there (not sure if it's the wife or owner) is always so nice to us and welcomes us whenever we come in. The service is always great too. Not much to complain about. The place is always very quiet even though the restaurant is pretty spacious. It's also very clean and they are quick to buss tables as soon as customers are done. Will continue to come back!

Just a quick review to say that this place has some great spring rolls for a great price. Was passing some time at the Antique Market tucked off Main St and was feeling a little hungry so I decided to check out what was open nearby and saw the sign for Pho Ly. I decided some spring rolls should be able to hold me over so I headed there. The interior of the restaurant is a good size with a nice amount of tables. It was clean and quiet with a small bar near the entrance and some festive holiday decoration too. The staff were friendly and attentive offering me a table at first and then being happy to let me place a to-go order at the counter. They told me the rolls should be ready in a few minutes so I said I would be right back and went to grab some things from Rocket Fizz. When I came back my order was ready and I was so hungry that I ended up just eating them in the car on the way to my next appointment. They tasted good with nice sized shrimp and the fillings inside were fresh. The next time I'm in St Charles I will strongly consider giving more of Pho Ly's menu a try.

Located downtown St Charles next door to shell and across from fill up station. There is parking on the side street. The pho is good and tasty. This is up there next to pho 95. Service was good and the restaurant was clean.

Alas, St. Charles has got itself an AMAZING Vietnamese spot! Pho Ly had caught my eye as I was driving on main street and I had to stop by and give it a try. I brought my sister with, and we set out on our first foodie venture at this spot. My sister ordered the combination fried rice, and I had ordered the tofu vermicelli noodles along with a taro smoothie with Boba. Everything was freshly made, delicious, well, seasoned, and incredibly enjoyable. Staff was incredibly kind and attentive. As far as the space goes, it is an open space, well lit, and modern spot. Highly enjoyable and comfortable seating. We will definitely be returning to this spot to try out more things on the menu. Highly recommend to all folks looking for a solid Vietnamese spot in town!

From a firsthand recommendation and their great reviews, we decided to try the authentic Vietnamese chow at Pho Ly on 64 in St Charles. Parking is on municipal lot(s) near the restaurant. They've been open just over a year. The atmosphere is casual. The service is outstanding. The bar is beer & wine. We had "Spicy Lemongrass Chicken", a rice/ vermicelli bowl and their crab rangoon for an appetizer. The chicken was definitely spiced up with nice chilis. The food was legitimate, delicious and relatively inexpensive. We'll certainly be back!

Time for an updated review, as I've since started eating meat again!…read more My sister and I popped into Pho 95 to satiate a pho craving on a crisp mid-December day, and it did not disappoint! There was just one waitstaff member that was taking care of all the folks that were dining (there were about 6-7 parties, including us) so it took a few minutes to put our order in, since he was busy taking other orders and bring out entrees to other diners. With that being said, if you're looking for a "supremely quick service" kind of spot, this might not be your go-to. After those few minutes had past, we'd put in our order for the crispy egg rolls, spring rolls, the grilled pork banh mi, and two orders of pho: the Pho 95 Special for me and the Steak & Fatty Brisket pho for my sister. We waited a handful of minutes for our apps and our pho (this was quick!) then we got to digging in. The egg rolls had a perfect CRISP exterior and a flavorful interior. The spring rolls were delightful and fresh (however, I prefer them without the thin sheets of pork), and our pho - after dressing it up with the accoutrements) was hot and delicious! Honestly, the Pho 95 Special wasn't for me, as I realized that I'm not attuned to or prefer the tendon or tripe. The rest of the meats were delicious though and I'll definitely order the Steak & Fatty Brisket Pho - since my sister loved it! I also didn't favor the pork banh mi. I just couldn't get behind the smokey flavor and didn't enjoy the seasoning. Perhaps pork just isn't my kind of protein. I will add, my sister did enjoy the banh mi, so it's certainly subjective! I'd be curious to try their other banh mi's in the future. Overall, Pho 95 was a great spot to visit and I recommend it to all locals in the area looking to satisfy their pho cravings!

I always think that the front of the house reflects in the back, so I would assume they take equal care of sanitation in the kitchen. I orderrrd #16, the special pho dish. I was surprised the bowl had almost more sliced beef and other protein as noodles. After 1 o'clock other customer, 4 tables came in. They were all greeted and served as promptly as I was. My food was delicious and more than I could finish. I think Pho 95 is back on my favorites list.

Right now this is my opportunity trying them and so far it's been a quaint and ambience on the declar if they're playing soft jazz music. So far service was pretty quick. I ordered the pho with the beef tendon and it was a meh ok. I think it could have been a little more flavorful with their pho broth but it wasn't bland either. Needs more cinnamon. What's also unique was the fact that they kept their soup spoons and their regular spoons and chopsticks in this wooden box and then another peculiarity was you had to get the condiments of basil chili pepper bean sprouts and lime up in a tray versus for them to bring it to you. The line in the basil didn't seem that fresh which is why I was a little disappointed other than that it was okay. I don't know if I would come here more often but there are other places I tried that are Vietnamese in which the pho had more flavor and was better. I probably would come here for their dim sum

I looked up highly rated Vietnamese restaurants and found Tasty House 1 in Carol Stream. This place is everything we anticipated it to be. Another appetizer we got separately was the fried calamari which had a great crunchy texture, the absolute best! There is a separate vegan menu with half a dozen things on it, and other than the drinks and desserts, pretty much nothing on the regular menu is vegetarian. You've got your choice of various fruit lemonades, bubble teas, popping bubble teas, jellies, etc. Desserts include flan, Vietnamese yogurt, coconut jelly - none of which you'll be eating onsite as you'll be too full after your entree. Portions are on the large side - even the papaya salad is a meal. I got the peach lemonade, vegetable spring rolls and the tofu, vegetable and noodles, which turned out to be a soup, basically Vietnamese ramen. The spring rolls are tasty and come with peanut sauce; the vegetable broth was savory with lots of baby bok choy, plenty of noodles and cubes of fried tofu - it was even better with some of the homemade hot sauce, which I highly recommend. The lemonade comes in a bubble tea disposable cup and contains tiny pieces of fruit - very fruity, not very citrusy. Service was friendly and very personable, which helps if you're serving 16 people. All of whom were happy.

I would give this spot 6 out of 5 stars if I could, it exceeded my expectations. My husband and I came here on a weekend for dinner. I was craving pho, but we both wanted to try something different than our usual haunts. Enter Pho Son, a few towns over from us, and we were ready to give it a shot and drive through a new town. Their food is incredible. I'll even venture to say, their food was better than what I've had in Chicago... and I've had a LOT of pho in the city. We ordered: House Special Wings (canh ga chien) Tofu Spring Rolls Pho Dac Biet (Meat Combination); mine Spicy Noodle Soup (Bun Bo Hue); his What made this spot a winner was the quality/freshness of their ingredients. The little details of my dish that I really appreciated: a generous amount of scallions, clear broth, super tender tripe, and melt in your mouth brisket. When I tasted how fresh their tripe was, I felt like I had been consuming subpar tripe my entire life. I thought, "this is how tripe is _supposed_ to taste." Similar, maybe, to someone who has never been to a steakhouse and then tries a gourmet filet mignon for the first time. The comparison is for a totally different part of the cow, but you know what I mean!). It was cooked "right" and it made all the difference. My husband enjoyed his spicy noodle soup. It was not called Bun Bo Hue on the menu, but this was essentially what it was. He ordered his without shrimp. Our appetizers were also fresh and tasty. The wings were delicious with a sticky honey-fish sauce glaze that was finger lickin', need-to-wash-your-hands-after-you-eat-them, good. TL;DR Pho Son is excellent. Since I am still fairly new to the western suburbs, this spot reminds me of the restaurants in Uptown where I would go for a bowl of pho, but even better. We only tried their noodle soups here, but I'd come back to try their rice bowls and vermicelli bowls too. I'm glad this spot is close by, and we won't need to drive to the city to get our pho fix. We will be back. 6/5 stars!
