Let me start with WOW ! What an amazing Lil place to grab a quick Mexican fix. 3 of us went tonight and got the haddock tacos Holy $#/+ they were Soo fresh and Tasty!. Also got the beef taco which was Amazing! Staff was very professional and the cooks made everything quick but fresh. We will definitely be back! Lupe's RUINED my engagement. Honestly, last year at Hampton, we went 3 times and we were obsessed. We were stoked to go back in 2018. This year, my family thought it would be the best place to celebrate my engagement. We've been going to Hampton for 40 years, and this was the place we picked. We called ahead and said it would be about 15 people. They told us that it was a big party, but to come on down "now," as the restaurant was empty. We arrived, and from that moment on, we had the worst, most rude service I have ever encountered. We sat at a few tables (mind you, there was next to no one in the establishment) waiting to be served. After 10 minutes, we started wondering what was going on. The next thing you know, the red headed "manager" was telling us we had to leave. They could not accommodate a party our size. We asked "why?" We all sat at different tables to make it easier for their wait staff. The next thing you know... we are LITERALLY being kicked out. They refused to serve us. Again, I had just gotten engaged earlier that morning. I will NEVER enter this establishment again. Their staff was inexplicably rude and disrespectful to say the very least. Thank goodness the Ashworth was much more accommodating, sat us immediately, and helped salvage our engagement day with great service. read more

We were spending the night at the beach and wanted to go out for a drink prior to heading to Portsmouth for dinner. We walked into the bar at the ashworth and it felt like singles night at a retirement community, we walked out as quick as we walked in. We walked a little further and found Lupe's which was considerably more lively just looking in from the outside. We were greeted by a some big smiles and a warm welcome from Nicole. She made my girlfriend a custom creation of cucumber vodka and jalapeño, it was awesome. We had such a good time we came back later that night for some awesome nachos, their homemade salsa was amazing. We'll be back soon read more

Popped by this jewel after a morning on the beach - it was super amazingly perfect for our family of little kids and foodie parents. Not only was the food astonishingly good, but the service was probably the friendliest we've encountered anywhere. Nachos (sooooo good) with tacos and beers was heaven. And the giant frog filled with candy at the cash register was - for better or worse - a highlight of our vacation in the eyes of our kids :) read more

Straight up the best taco i've ever had. I was skeptical with the food on Hampton Beach, but this place is a hit. Quality food made to order right in front of you. Also very authentic, with multiple options on how to order your meal. The fish tacos were my favorite on the seacoast by far. Don't be fooled by the location, this place is the real deal. So I try to eat tacos everywhere I go out today I keep ventured out to New Hampshire and I found and came across this spot. Read reviews how to try to fish taco which I did I believe $5 is kind of high for a fridge Taco but cuz of location it's okay. Great fish taco also try the chicken nachos also very good except that they use nacho cheese out of a can instead of a Monterey or mozzarella and a traditional Mexican Nacho. read more

As a fellow Californian, I had high hopes for this place. It wasn't bad, but wasn't as good as I expected it would be based on the other reviews. The fish tacos were decent but I didn't care for the batter they used on the fish. It wasn't traditional and was too spicy for my taste. We also didn't care too much for the rice or the beans. Neither had much flavor, and again, weren't really traditional. I hope to return to try the empanadas though. read more

Just had lunch here and I was very satisfied and impressed! A small simple menu with all the traditional standbys, tacos(beef pork, chic) burritos, and chimichangas. Not to mention empanadas that will blow your mind... All reasonably priced! Found this gem on a whim and I'm so glad I did. I've lived in San Diego and traveled frequently to Mexico so I'm choosy when it comes to the food . I will say that this is by far some of the best I've had since I left California!!! Great staff also. I would highly recommend this place if you like traditional Mexican food. Can't wait to get back here! read more

Amongst all the crappy little fast food fried joints in Hampton Beach we have the awesome Lupe's 55. Just great honest delicious and flavorful Mexican food. Homemade hot sauce is out of bounds delicious and what an awesome selection of bottle of hot sauces. Nothing beats their nachos and cheese. Burritos are first class. Stopped by today after walking the pier for some lunch. The yelp reviews beckoned us and we were excited by the idea of fresh light food in the sea of friend options that is the Hampton beach strip. I ordered the fish tacos and my boyfriend had the steak tacos. Mine were amazing. The flour tortillas were beyond delicious. My boyfriends steak was a little less exciting although still tasty. We split a empanada and the dough was butte and delicious and the filling was full of flavor. The customer service was also very pleasant and the owner came over to give us some tomatillo salsa that he said his mother makes ( it was delicious by the way). The only real criticism I would have is that the menu and ordering process was a tad bit confusing. Especially because it doesn't tell you the pricing is per taco. Overall this is my new favorite quick stop for food at Hampton beach I will definitely be back! read more
