Was looking for a proper, old school breakfast burrito. Lupe's was a decent effort - but I think the cook needs to taste the food, or maybe they're on vacation. It was needing seasoning. A little salt, some caramelized onions, cilantro, and this would be next level. The contents were fine: eggs, hash browns, sausage, onions, bell pepper, maybe a diced cube of tomato. Maybe the worst breakfast burrito in the game. 99% potato. There may have been one single egg in there.

Decent local homestyle Mexican food. It's nothing fancy but it's hearty and hits the notes you'd expect. Adding a bonus point for having lengua and cabeza on the menu. The cabeza was really heavy and greasy though, so not for everyone. I appreciated that the red sauce wasn't fiery hot and could tell it was well roasted but it needs some more flavor and they were too stingy with the sauce. To sum up, not bad but meats and sauces need to kick up their flavor! Service: They tend to always be so busy! So I'd say expect to wait at least 20 mins during peak hrs. Some sort of acknowledgement like "just a moment" or "we'll be right with you" would have been appreciated when I was waiting at the front of the line, being straight up ignored multiple times by various staff who just stared. This used to be my favorite spot in the area for breakfast burritos. Recently after a few visits, I can no longer recommend this place for their best seller: the breakfast burrito. While it's not bad, there is definitely another cook in the house. The breakfast burrito is pretty much 90% POTATOES all around. Cannot taste the eggs, cheese, or meat because it's all cooked in together so texture is mushy. Maybe it's a good thing that their portions are also SMALLER now. I politely asked and PAID for extra salsa; I got only 2 total. I remember coming here when I was younger and I used to always get their fries with hot cheetos and also a lot of their other food items. I went back recently a few weeks ago and the quality of their food has dropped unfortunately. Got a carne asada burrito and the meat was extremely dry and the burrito didn't really taste too good. I called Lupe's this morning to for a small catering order and I am so appalled by the service they gave me. while ordering the lady kept talking shit and complained in spanish about how I didn't make the order before hand(not aware that I also know in I also speak Spanish.) My son and I recently visited Lupes for the 1st time based on all the hype we have been seeing on social media. I may be an outlier, but I think it is over hyped. It is not bad, but I did not leave there thinking I will ever be back. We ordered the breakfast burrito which was not too our liking. The back was not crispy and not very flavorful. Finally made it to Lupe's Place after driving by for years... The restaurant did not disappoint. The portions were ample, and good price point. The food had great taste, and the carnitas were loaded onto my tostada. Also ordered a burrito, with tasty ingredients with great red and green salsa. Service was welcoming, quick and accommodating. Super fast, friendly, and helpful service. I came after 11am and missed breakfast so I ordered three tacos: pastor, lengua, and cabeza. Each taco had a nice heaping mound of meat, chopped onions, and a ton of cilantro. The pastor was my favorite of the three but the cabeza (beef head) definitely had some great flavor. The lengua (tongue) was yummy too, just not as good as the other two. They have two home made hot sauces, a green and red. The green one is refreshing and mild, the red one has a good spicy bite to it. I sat outside with my dog and it was overall a really great little lunch.
