Great pizza by the slice spot! Service was friendly and food arrived quick. They have great appetizer options and a unique selection of pizza options. Ambiance is cozy and authentic!

    My calzone!!

So glad my favorite restaurant is still open in Chattanooga. Our family is here for Thanksgiving for a whole week and our first night out ... This is where I had to go. We have five kids and my girls loved the pizza also. They had sausage and cheese. I got my usual calzone. Lupi's is one you can always count on. The staff there was also great. I let them know how wonderful the food was. It also has the same chill vibe that has always had inside. I couldn't resist when my kids asked for a dollar to play Pac-Man. A nice bit of nostalgia. Great job Lupi's!!

We stopped into the Broad Street Lupi's Pizza Pies location while exploring downtown, and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. Everyone was incredibly friendly and upbeat -- it really added to the laid-back and welcoming vibe of the place. The atmosphere is funky and cozy with a lot of personality, the kind of spot where you want to settle in and stay a while. It's casual and fun, but still clean and inviting -- perfect for a relaxed dinner or a quick bite during your downtown adventures. Now let's talk about the pizza. WOW. We ordered a build-your-own pie with a few of our favorite toppings, and it came out perfectly cooked -- the crust was that ideal blend of chewy and crispy, the sauce had great flavor, and the toppings were super fresh. It was honestly so delicious that we completely forgot to take a photo before diving in... rookie mistake, I know! I guess that just means we'll have to come back (which we will, 100%). If you're in downtown Chattanooga and craving really good pizza made with fresh ingredients and served by awesome people, Lupi's is the place. Bonus: it's within walking distance of several attractions and makes for a great stop while exploring the city. Highly, highly recommend. Can't wait to come back -- and maybe this time I'll remember to snap a picture (no promises though!).

    Fun interior, good for kids.

This is a fun space in a convenient spot downtown. Great place for kids, and even as a large-ish group of 6 it wasn't too hard to find a seat. The service is unpredictable, with our food coming out at all different times - some were finished by the time others got food, people who ordered after us got food first, there's no telling when you'll actually get your order. The salad is great, and may sound like a weird compliment every one of us particularly noted the croutons. Homemade dressing also really great. The pizza is... odd. Not bad, and the crust is great. Crispy but a nice chewy texture. There is very little sauce and the least amount of cheese I've ever seen on a piece of pizza. I only had two toppings, but I'd characterize my slice as mostly crust with the toppings, then barely enough sauce or cheese to hold it all together.

Pizza Slice with Pepperoni and Italian Sausage

I really enjoyed visiting this place. I ordered the bread loaf with oil as an appetizer and got a single slice of pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage. The bread loaf is served warm. It has a thin crunchy exterior, but the inside is pillowy soft - so soft that it was difficult to avoid squishing it as I sliced pieces off of it. It was delicious! The pizza is a thin crust pizza, but not like a crispy or Neapolitan style one. It was more like a standard pizza that was slightly thinner. The crust edge is slightly crispy, and has the same delicious interior that the bread loaf had. All of the toppings tasted fresh and delicious. It was great! I'd love to return! The inside also has very cool wall decorations and an arcade corner, giving it a classic pizza parlour vibe. Do come here! It is worth your time and money.

Kitschy pizza place just around the corner from our hotel. Pizza sauce & bread scent the air outside & the decor is fun & funky inside with a paper mache tree, purple walls & a disco ball by the kitchen. Everyone we came across who worked there was nice & very helpful! Our family split a 12" sausage, bacon & onion pizza, plus a caprese salad. Everything had really good flavor. The pizza sauce is a bit on the sweeter side & the crust was nice & chewy (not crispy). Tomato & mozzarella slices were nice & thick too, making the salad really yummy.

Stayed in Chattanooga for a short getaway, and we were headed to Mellow Mushroom for lunch when the front desk clerk at the hotel recommended Lupi's. The restaurant was a short walk around the corner, so we decided to give it a shot. Walking up to the restaurant, the first thing you notice is the purple funky vibe of the exterior of the building, which was our indication that this may be good. Upon entering, you see the menu on the wall to your left, and all ordering is at the counter. When ordering a pizza, you can order by the slice, 12", or 16". We decided on the 16" pepperoni with bacon as we had the little one with us and had to keep it simple. The pizza is delivered to your table fresh from the oven. Upon first bite, I noticed there was a sweetness to the crust that complimented the other ingredients. The pizza was not greasy, which made it not only easier to eat but allowed us to savor the taste of the pepperoni and bacon, which were cooked just right. The staff was great, the atmosphere was cool, and the food was awesome. I would recommend it, and we will definitely be back.

    Caprese Salad
    Douglas W.

Ok - let's start with the worst part of the meal....the Caprese Salad. Totally not their fault, who gets tomatoes in the winter, right? Other than that, the mozzarella was firm and delicious, the balsamic was very good.... The bread - free with the salad, but I would have gladly paid for it. It looked like a whole wheat, but had an amazing texture and flavor. Could have used butter, but I had no issues with eating it plain. The pizza was awesome. The Italian sausage was so incredible. Just the right amount of spice, and it cooked up great in the oven. The pepperoni was also very good. They must have a real Italian deli where they sourced their meats. The crust was also amazing, as was the cheese. Overall, an awesome culinary experience!!

She could have told me anything and how would I know? Anyway, we were seated very quickly and our server was there before we knew it. He took our drink order and have us a few minutes to check out the menu. When he came back we asked if we could do half Demarco and half sausage and pepperoni. Said yes so that's what we got. Pizza came quick and it was prolly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long long time. Although I can't remember the last time I was there, but pretty sure it was good then too. I will say that there was one very serious problem and we could have handled it better. You see there were 4 of us with one being our 9 yr old grandson. Pizza had 8 slices, so we each had 2. Now tell me how fair is it that Grandpa only got 2 and the kid got 2. We should have ordered a 2nd pie. Great place, great food and great location downtown, so join the community and have a great slice!

After watching Sooooo many pizza reviews, we decided to try the Neapolitan style pizza. Thin crust and cooked in a wood fire oven. So.... First and foremost pizza was good. Being a Neapolitan style, I was expecting a bit more crunch with the slight char. The tomato sauce was very good. You could tell it was fresh crushed tomatoes and basil. Bartender and our waiter were awesome. Talked to us about the local brewery, the styles of pizza, etc. very friendly and cooperative with all the questions we had. We were both pleasantly surprised by this local downtown place. Good atmosphere and good food. A must try when downtown Chattanooga. They do offer Detroit style and New York style pizza as well. It all depends on the way YOU like your pizza cooked! VERY good pizza! I would probably give this pizza, on a pizza scale; an 8.2 which is pretty high. A little flop on the crust, but the crunch, char and the amazing tomato sauce, partnered with the atmosphere and friendly staff made it a must visit pizza place! We finished it off with the local made gelato. I had milk and honey and my wife had chocolate. Both were very flavorful and refreshing on this very hot day. Community Pizza is fitting as everyone either in or around this community should stop by and try this pizza! Thanks for a great afternoon experience!

Wound up at the aquarium for a couple hours and ended up hungry at the very end of it. Not far from where we were parked we found the Wooden City conveniently across from it all (dare I say a brisk walk's worth) with Mellow Mushroom and Ben & Jerry's establishments at both corners. We were given the options of staying inside or being placed outside and we chose (biased a lil) the opportunity of eating outside. We were taken care of accordingly by Jonathan, who is a perfect example of someone that makes tourism worth it, we chitchatted back-and-forth and came across some great options on our appetizers and drinks. While we waited for drinks, we were served water with ice as the weather outside was pleasant but a little too hot for the afternoon... When the appetizers arrived, we were greeted by not only demonstration, but taste above what I've had as of recent. Wife enjoyed the freshness of the tomatoes and cheese whilst I was mesmerized by how subtle and uber smooth my Old Fashioned was. We unwinded and talked about our day here in this city and then our next meal plates arrived. I had the very unique and well presented Beet Ravioli and the wife had the exquisite Spicy Lamb Rigatoni. Immediate upon arrival to our table my wife and I exchanged a bite of each other's plates to give a chance for our taste pallets to experience one another. The Beet Ravioli took back my wife to a time where she made something of similar taste and the Rigatoni took me back to California when I tasted something familiar then. Towards the end, I saved the location at the name of the restaurant, as I would like a near future to come back and visit with more time. Jonathan was an absolute help for our satisfaction in Chattanooga and we are thankful.
