I have thick, long, wavy/curly Latina hair, and finding someone who knows how to lift it properly while still keeping it healthy and achieving the exact color I want has not been easy. I love a natural, lived-in brunette balayage look, and she absolutely nailed it. She really listens to what you want and creates color that looks dimensional, blended, and natural instead of overly harsh or stripey. My hair feels healthier, looks shinier, and still has brightness while being very low-maintenance. What I appreciate most is that they care about the long-term health of your hair, not just the immediate results. They're knowledgeable and proactive about what your hair needs, but never pushy, which I really respect. The salon itself is beautiful. It's clean, modern, chic, and the overall experience feels relaxing from the moment you walk in. They offer complimentary drinks and snacks, which is such a thoughtful touch, and everyone there is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also want to mention Abrey's assistant, who I believe has only been there a few months. I unfortunately cannot remember her name, but she gave me one of the BEST scalp massages I've ever had while washing out my hair treatment. She is truly amazing when it comes to cutting my hair which is on the finer side. Great consultation and suggestions for my hair style now that I'm dealing with humidity in Georgia opposed to where we lived in California. Mary is kind, engaging in conversation, listens to my hair concerns, great recommendations for hair products, just an overall joy not to mention gorgeous inside and out!! I always leave feeling pampered not only from Mary but the entire Indigo staff from the beginning to the end. Truly a top notch salon!! Tiffany asked me loads of questions and really took the time to understand my frustration with my hair. I requested just a trim and thinning out hair and received a curly girl cut at Tiffany's recommendation. I haven't felt this good about my hair since I actually buzzed it all off. My hair feels light and soft again. Tiffany even showed me how to "dry" my curls and take care of them. I'm super low maintenance, if it's more then a wash, I won't do it. She was very clear that she did NOT want a haircut, did not want her length taken off, and specifically asked to keep her signature hard V shape so she could style it the way she always does. Instead, you kept pushing for more and then ignored what was clearly requested. My friend left devastated and out $340. She drove all the way from Austin to Dallas because she trusted you to be a professional and give her what she wanted. What was supposed to be a simple color appointment turned into a cut that took off more than she agreed to and changed the shape completely. Once she washed it and saw her natural curls, it looked straight across and nothing like what she asked for. Even trying to put it up in her usual half-up style sent her into a meltdown because it no longer lays the same. Mistakes happen, but what makes this worse is your total lack of accountability afterward. No real apology, no effort to make it right, and then BLOCKING her instead of handling it professionally. Driving 3 hours for what she thought was going to be an exciting new hair makeover just to be dismissed and ignored afterward is unacceptable. To make matters worse, there were inappropriate jokes made during the appointment, including a Pentecostal joke that was unnecessary and unprofessional. Clients should feel comfortable and respected in your chair, not caught off guard by comments like that. If you value a stylist who listens, respects boundaries, and takes responsibility when things go wrong, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. Alex Raney, please DO BETTER.
