I went in to this Lush location yesterday to refill my addiction to their bath bombs. Immediately upon entering this location for the first time (I usually go to the one at fashion valley mall or order online) I was greeted by two super friendly sales people. One of them, Opal, immediately made their way over to check in. They were so ridiculously sweet and helpful. Opal made sure that all my questions were answered and went out of their way to show me a demonstration on the dark angel scrub (that I ended up buying) and the different bubble soaps. I've seriously never felt so welcomed and taken care of in a retail store before. Hey, owners if Opal is up for a raise you should give them one! I would honestly give this place more stars if they were actually interested in making GENUINE CONNECTIONS with clients, instead of trying to sell you everything inside the store. Good luck trying to shop around in peace, someone is following you the entire time you are in there asking you a million questions shoving things in your face that you "have to try". When you finally think you have made it out alive to the register, the cashier tries to guilt trip you for not purchasing the million other things you didn't buy to go with your items. Another awesome visit to Lush. Walked in and was instantly greeted by friendly staff. The products I've tried, I absolutely love. The staff are always there to help and they give great advice. You can try pretty much anything before buying if you want. Some items can be pricey, but I think it's worth it in the long run because if you find something that works, the products go a long way. And I plan to use every single drop. I found less is more when it comes to Lush. The staff also takes the time to tell you about the products if you are wanting to know about them. I have really sensitive skin and the more natural ingredients found in Lush has really helped and I learned quite a bit using Lush. So far, the staff hit each concern I had right on the nail. I walked out with a smile on my face and lovely Lush items that I already love! I've been to this particular Lush location multiple times and now I have a skin care collection that I added to overtime that I feel actually works, and it just makes me feel good. I feel like I'm treating myself whenever I apply something on! Scrubs, creams, masks, soaps, toners... I can't get enough. I went here last night for one thing and left with a whole new routine. The nice thing is that the consultant gave me ample opportunity to walk out with only what I came in for but the reality is, I want what's healthiest for my skin and these girls know how to figure out what that is. Sage (Victoria) ended up helping me and l have to compliment her on how she immediately recognizes how to interact with people and how she listens and takes the time to really think of what's best. I usually go to fashion valley for lush, but would drive up to UTC to see the girls here again. I love this store. Well I love LUSH! But this store is sooooo much better than Fashion valley store. It's not as convenient but I'll travel the opposite direction to come here instead of fashion. I had the greatest experience ever at Lush! I came in for a face wash and I got to test out everything I wanted to! The girl who helped me was so kind and knowledgable and showed me all the products but didn't pressure me to buy them all! When I left they gave me a free face mask to try out and asked if I wanted to try anything I sampled. So I took home a little tester of the face lotion. OKAY so I really wish I could remember the sales associate's name that helped me because she truly made my experience a memorable one and turned me into a definite RETURN customer. I had just got done shopping at Sephora and unfortunately had a really terrible experience there, and I stopped by Lush for the first time to ask for a sample of Curly Wurly because I had been told by a friend to try it. Long story short, she tested out the shampoo I requested, along with the Retread AND the R&B cream on my hand, going through explanations and ingredients and benefits of the product. She also gave me great insights on the business itself! I was so impressed with her knowledge in everything, it showed her passion for her job and not once did I feel pressured into buying anything, I was just totally drawn into all the information given! I left with a sample of the shampoo and conditioner, and a tub of the R&B and lip scrub NEXT DAY: came back to buy the shampoo because it was INCREDIBLE and after thinking about the amazing customer service, I decided to return my Sephora purchase and use that money towards a better business. To my surprise, the same sales associate remembered me, asked me how i liked the sample of curly wurly and complimented my curls, which totally made my day that she remembered me! I asked about facial care, she did the same test trial on my hands again, taking the time to show me three or four different products for dry skin. I left buying a couple more things that WERE PERFECT for my skin type, and she saw I was kind of stressing about the price so she kindly went over the return policy with me not making me feel bad at all! She even sent me home with another sample of the shampoo for a friend I had talked about that has the same curls as me! Long story short, I totally appreciated the time and effort she put forth to simply inform me of the business and the products that you supply. She was so professional and so nice and didn't judge me whatsoever on my appearance which was nice after a bad experience elsewhere. I ended up referring 2 friends there, one of which told me she was going in to buy the face wash tomorrow that I let her use! I will definitely be returning! Hadn't shopped since June bc I'm pregnant and wasn't taking hot baths often. Almost due and dying for some relaxation so I went in for a treat. Love this company, always have! My skin is incredibly sensitive and most things I actually can't use from Lush. Jackie and Amber were both incredibly informative on the new products and anything that might suit my skin. I appreciated their product knowledge bc when it comes to ingredients I really have to get down to the nitty gritty and it helps greatly when employees know their stuff! Both girls were lovely to talk with, they suggested several things and I decided on (of course!) a few extra things as well as took home some samples (thanks girls!). I was so happy with my experience on Friday 3/11. The girl, Taylor, was so helpful with her suggestions and her knowledge on all the products. Usually I feel like people try to rush you or just overhear what you want and end up giving you something completely different. Taylor had such a great vibe and she made my first time experience with Lush a great one. I got "Honey I washed my hair" shampoo bar soap, R&B hair treatment, (some conditioner) and the charity pot body/hand lotion! Smells great! All in all, I paid $72. You're paying for natural and some organic ingredients, as well as handmade cosmetics. As a plus, NO ANIMAL TESTING! My hair and body feel so great and smooth. I have been thinking about purchasing some Henna Hair Dye from Lush for a while so I decided to go to the store today and check it out before it closed. There were only two workers, but it didn't matter because there weren't a lot of people. I have black hair and didn't know which hair dye would be best, but luckily, the female worker, Cassandra, helped me out pick out the Caca Marron color and gave me A BUNCH of useful tips about what the process would be like. She was super sweet and kind and very patient with answering all my questions. She even asked me to come back to show her the results! I would've given this store five stars but one of the staff in particular pissed me off. I walk in, and one or two of the staff members aren't really doing anything. Just chatting. I'm like "that's fine, I'll ask for help when I need it". When I did, I asked a girl passing by me. My question was "do you have anything that can even out my skin tone because I have ugly tan lines". Everything about her answer pissed me the fuck off. She didn't even look at me and told me that I should love my skin the way it is. Then walks away from me to talk to her coworker. So she didn't even answer my question, if they did have something for me or not. She didn't even promote her own store for what they do which is to promote better skin care because hello "Lush". She was being totally rude by not even looking at me and to suggest to be to love the skin I'm in. Excuse me, I love my dark skin tone and that's why I'm trying to even it out even if it means it might get lighter. My skin color will eventually go back to its color but she wouldn't have known that if she just decided to engage in this conversation with me instead of her coworkers. I love the selection of cruelty free and vegan products, I've never used anything from here that I didn't like, but every time I go in I feel like I'm in a high pressure sales situation!! They don't accept no for an answer and don't take a hint that you'd like to shop without assistance. Some people just like to shop alone! I go in and spend about $200 at a time so I really feel like there's no reason to upsell someone who is making a large purchase already. I do like that the staff is knowledgeable about the products, and I love how the store smells. But I avoid it unless I absolutely NEED something since I hate being bombarded every time I visit. read more

I came in to get Oatifix (my favorite face mask), and there were only two girls working. One was attending to three people at once and was clearly busy, so I went to ask the girl at the register if they had Oatifix in stock. She very rudely told me "I can't help you right now" and walked away from me. I have worked in customer service and sales for a long time, and actually had never had someone be so blatantly rude. She continued to stand behind the desk just staring at me, while the poor other associate hustled helping out everyone in the store. I love Lush and their products, you should definitely check their products out if you have not but there are much better Lush stores than this one, like the Fashion Valley one. I live very close to the Lush at UTC but would rather make the drive then to deal with the terrible service here. When you first walk in it is so ingenuine how badly they are trying to sell you on everything. They try to upsell every product you have in your hand to get the bigger size, I understand that's their job but they don't stop once you politely say no thank you. There was one experience I had with a girl at the register who kept trying to sell me on the larger size of a scrub, after I said no thank you she goes "well I'm good with my money and I think the larger size is a better deal" I still said no thank you and she continues to ask me why I won't buy it, I had to say no thank you four times before my patience ran out and said please just stop talking to me and finish ringing me up. Went to this location for the first time with a friend to buy some lotion and we were smelling a product and I wasn't paying attention to the labels "try me" as we had been smelling products throughout the store for a while, when a woman who worked there came right over and took the product out of my hand and said No this is not a tester you can't open this! And walked away and proceeded to talk to a coworker about us. It was unfortunate because I was actually going to buy that product and she made us so uncomfortable we left and didn't buy anything. I have never had an issue in one of the stores, a nicer approach would have been better because she lost a purchase by being rude. read more

The only reason I'm giving this review 2 stars is because I adore the products. However, this isn't a product review, but a review on my overall experience at this location, which was far less than satisfactory. The reason I love Lush stores is the great customer service and knowledgeability of the staff. Unfortunately, I did not find this at this location. The time I visited the store was much less busy compared to most Lush stores. There were more employees in the store than customers. I did get a greeting at the door, but the customer service stopped there. Usually I buy multiple products based on the recommendations of the staff. However, I ended up only purchasing the 1 item I came in for, because no one offered to show me anything else. All of this is fine, but I found the customer service at the register tone horrible! I asked for a sample of conditioner to accompany the shampoo I was purchasing, and the cashier told me I would have to wait until she was done ringing up the people behind me. I found this odd, because it would take less time to get my sample than it would to ring up the other people. In addition, there were multiple employees that she could have asked to get the sample. After waiting about 5 minutes at the side of the register an employee came over and asked if I needed anything. I described the situation and she just said "Oh, okay" and then walked away!! I was so appalled at the fact that she didn't just get the sample herself, especially because she wasn't rushing over to help another customer, but instead headed to the front of the store to stand with her fellow employees. I will continue to purchase lush products, but never again from this location!! read more

Check your receipt! They might ring you up for something you didn't buy or ring up the product under a wrong name and if you decide to return it they won't honor your return. Their staff should be more careful when using the cash register. read more
