I liked it so much I tried to schedule a nail appointment today they left me on read and never responded even after I reached out 3 times. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. I took my daughter here each time as a well deserved reward for a straight A report card and we have been back many times over. First & last time going here today. I called in before for a pedicure, spoke to Christina. She was rude in person yelling at me because in person I added on a pedicure for my daughter. I decided to leave immediately after no one acknowledged my daughter 20 minutes after saying we want a wet pedicure. My feet had been soaked & cleaned. I was so upset I left without polish. So many other places are happy to have children as customers. Upon trying to pay their payment system malfunctioned & the man owner(wouldn't tell me his name) he even told me "something wrong w yo phone. fix it" i did have my toes cleaned by Kim so I paid $33 (no polish) Christina (& I'm guessing her man) didn't not deserve any of my money especially after being treated so disgusting. They obviously don't like children being in there. My daughter left upset, saying "mom let's go somewhere else that guy is being mean to us." Sad. Even the elder woman to him stop, don't argue with her. I'd suggest they mop their floors & scrub their tubs. I hope to not get foot fungus from this place. Not sure if it was miscommunication amongst staff but it's sad how much more help they need. Look at the other reviews, they don't know how to treat customers. Obviously have something against children. YIKES. The least that can be done is an apology to my daughters for the trauma caused yelling "PAY" to a broken software . Smh UPDATE: my toes hurt. The best pedicure I've ever had. My tech spent a lot of time giving me a massage and cleaning up my cuticles. It was not rushed at all and was very relaxing. It was supposed to be a fun day with my friend. I don't get out much. I asked her to not trim too much. She trimmed them down so short they are wider than they are long. Her response w was that they will grow. She told me the lump on the side of my toe was a callous that needed sanding. It was not. I now have a dime-sized blister there that is extremely painful. I've been coming to Lush Spa nails since they opened. In fact, 3 years ago I moved to LA and every few weeks I still make the drive to Chino Hills to get my nails done (mani and pedi). The product they use is unmatched. It's all very high quality and you can tell. My regular manicure will last me 2-2 1/2 weeks. And I've tried a few different nail salons in LA and Chino Hills, including some very over priced ones. Their service is always so welcoming and friendly. I have family that still live in Chino Hills and all come to Lush. They go for eye brow waxing, Kristina is amazing! Dip powder, see Johnny! My go to nail tech is Katie, she is just the sweetest and always takes such amazing care of me. I have met with other techs as well during my time going to Lush, I also highly recommend Linda. Long overdue update. Due to the pandemic and having to move further away from Chino Hills I wasn't able to get my nails done with my favorite nail tech; Johnny. I ended up getting my nails done elsewhere for my engagement and got a fungus infection. It was so horrible that I needed it off asap. I took a drive and visit Lush Spa Nails for help and was super lucky that they were able to squeeze me in. Johnny helped me remove the bad acrylics and cleaned up most of the bad nail plate and cleaned my cuticles. He recommended not putting any chemicals or doing anything until my new nails grows out. I give this salon 5 stars mainly for the story I'm going to share. I went to get a simple pedicure. After I sat down it became clear quickly the person who would be helping me was new. The other employees were telling her what to do and she was trying her best to keep up and had a friendly attitude the entire time. If there's one thing I appreciate, it's new employees who really try. She and I chatted about the city and personal things like work and her children. She was so sweet. She was also meticulous and took her time with my entire pedicure. Unfortunately, the finished result was really quite poor. It could've been nerves, it could've been experience. We all start somewhere and I could tell it wasn't due to lack of effort. Craftsmanship comes with time and practice. I hate making waves and didn't know how to explain I wasn't happy with it after we had such a nice bonding time. I just trusted when it was over my toes world look fine, so I didn't look at them until they were complete. I considered asking for a discount instead and I'd just leave with them as is. I spoke with the manager and he had someone else touch up the pedicure and repaint my toes. Great. Understandably the other techs seemed somewhat frustrated to have to step in. But it did need to be done. It was a bit awkward and uncomfortable that they made her clean off the wet paint from my toes for another nail tech to redo them and was reassigned to washing towels. This was a missed opportunity for a learning moment, in my opinion. But, they were busy. I could tell my original tech was embarrassed and felt very badly. After my re-do pedicure, I spoke with her to give her some encouragement about her abilities and to hopefully not break her confidence, as it seemed no one was going to address the issue or help her understand where she could improve. As a working artist, I understand deeply how terrible it feels to try your hardest, think you did well, only for everyone to tell you the opposite. Do it again. Figure it out. I shared some kind and encouraging words and apologized for having to say something. We hugged each other and she was a little emotional. I want to give props to the salon overall because although I could tell the rest of the staff were frustrated with her, it's a clear indicator that they do care about their clientele and their performance. I commend them for giving a chance to newer nail techs. We all start somewhere as I said, we just need jobs to take chances on us. Thankfully that's what this salon is doing. Please keep her on your team. Her attitude and kind disposition does wonders for your business. THAT is just as important. Once she has her skills down, she will be a star employee for your salon. I hope they remain patient with her, help her, and continue with kindness. It's the best thing to do with people who try hard and are genuinely good hearted. Which this nail tech was. I could never say enough good things about this place!!! I moved to Chino Hills at the height of the pandemic and was lucky enough to come across this gem as my new nail place. The inside is always clean and I'm always greeted with a smile. Johnny is my go to guy for my dip manicures. The nails in my picture are my REAL nails! He always manages to keep them long and healthy and his attention to detail is always on point. The other owner Kris is also so talented and friendly and I'm always impressed by her ability to multitask while keeping a smile on her face. I came in with high spirits for a dip powder set and a pedicure. My pedicure went great and then I was sent to Amy for my dip powder set. I told her what I wanted with a great attitude and a smile on my face. In return I was greeted with a terrible attitude and from the jump she was rough with my nails. Why are you filing my skin?? After it was visibly red she still went in with the machine and went over the same spot (my SKIN) and made it bleed. After an empty apology she still continued to be rough knowing I'm sitting there about to cry, my hands were shaking because I was so angry. The past few times I've not had the best experience. My fingers hurts as I write this. First off I would like to say it's not a comfortable feeling to walk into this place and to have everyone look at you like you are a bother. Nobody welcomes you anymore or is friendly. I usually don't make appointments because my schedule is so hectic so I do walkins and I know they get pretty busy but it always feels like such a bother to them The sighs and eyes say a lot and it makes me feel uncomfortable. I shouldn't feel like that when I'm paying for a service. Today, specifically, I walked in for a full set and pedicure. I didn't get the name of the lady who did my set but she was a bit aggressive with me. Seemed like in a rush to get me done. It would hurt everytime she would pinch my skin from under or the side of my nails because she would do it so fast and hard and her nails stab me under my naik.... My fingernails have not stopped throbbing and I am in PAIN. The nails are very thin and would appear more natural if the tips didn't lift up. It's clear she over drilled and did not apply acrylic correctly. I'm not happy. I don't get much free time and this place is expensive as it is. I would like for someone to please correct them because they look ugly and tell me what I should do to ease the pain. I can't fo anything with my hands and it's extremely frustrating.... Also, keep in mind that the talent here is bare minimum. Don't expect to come in for the latest trends because most of them don't know how to do it... I asked her if she could do it and at first she said no then she said yes for $20 extra because it's a "hard" design... the full set was already $55 and she wasnt confident so I said neverminf.
