When they first opened up, they were busy all the time, and even had employees hand-drying cars towards the end of the drying cycle. I started going so often that I ended buying a pass for unlimited car washes, for only $9.99. A lot has changed in the last twelve months though, and the price for my $9.99 unlimited wash is now $19.99 a month. There are no longer employees helping to dry the cars, and even the car washes don't seem to be same after the change in equipment. I've continued to go there for the convenience, especially with the pandemic, but who knows how long that will last. The employees are still on site to help if needed, and they maintain their distance for safety. Everyone is wearing a mask and complying with the current Ventura county rules. They still have the free vacuums that help, but I would recommend bringing a rag to dry of what their air dryers missed. read more

I absolutely love Luv car washes in Simi Valley, California, especially the one on first Street because it has a covered area for drying your car it is very reasonably priced for a monthly pass with unlimited washes. The car wash does an excellent job and you can dry your car with clean drying rags that they give you. I especially want to send my kudos and praise out about Vince. He was always very friendly with a smile on his face when we were switching our plans between our two cars. He did the best job of explaining every option and the pros and cons of each one. All of the other employees are very friendly and often will chitchat while I am drying the car. I highly recommend. They have to change the sign 5 minutes express wash to 30 minutes ridiculous wash! I got in the horrible line that was on First St at 4:15pm and got out of carwash at 4:44pm! They cut there prewash and towel drying, so you have to park in the vacuum area to dry your car and there is a line even for that section! I was wasting my time 30 minutes to get the service same as carwashes at the gas stations and pay more! I have the monthly plan of $17.99. Today I was charged $24.99 so I tried to call them. It's a recording. No ability to leave a message either. I've sent an email but as a business owner, in the retail sector, why don't they answer the phone or at least provide a voice mail system? Will edit my review once I hear from someone. Stopped in to talk to the manager. They've raised their monthly prices and the manager literally told me they can raise them when they want without warning. Incredibly rude man. My son came here last Sunday with my Mercedes Benz. While he was inside the wash, the steering wheel went left the right and the valve stem was ripped off. Although that sucked it was the managers reaction to my son when he just wanted to inform them of what had occurred. He called my son a liar and that he drove to wash with no valve stem. Accusing my son of something that did happen while the car was inside the wash. When I showed up to see what happened the manager was rude to me too. I have used this carwash for a few years now. When I first signed up it was $9.99. I left and returned this year and paid $12.99. I figured it's still a fair deal until.... They fired everyone. No one at the entrance of the tunnel. No one at the exit of the tunnel to wipe the water. No one was there anymore except ONE to take your credit card payment!! The worst was that they steal from you! I signed up for $12.99 a month. Suddenly, the bill became $19.99 without ANY notification. I found that out after a few months and canceled the service altogether. I authorized them to charge $12.99 a month, NOT $19.99 a month. If that's not theft, what is?? Apparently I should have checked Yelp before using this car wash because this isn't the first time or the 100th time about bad service and rude attendants. Here's my story. I have been there many times before today; but today, I had my truck, my kids made a mess with food inside and I had to take the antenna off anyway, so I decided to park and vacuum first. By the time I vacuum one front seat, I had the attendant on me saying I had to wash before vacuum. I was already parked and vacuuming many other places I had been in the past allowed vacuuming first. I said I get it, you are probably afraid I wasn't going to pay for a wash. So I offered to pay for the wash first so I can continue and finish vacuuming first. No, that wasn't allowed. It's policy, so he said. I asked to speak to the manager. The "manager" on site argued with me. Stating it's policy. I asked for him to show me where it says it is policy to wash first. Is there a sign entering the facility stating so, a poster, something. He just responded "it's our policy and if you don't like it, go somewhere else." I believe I am the customer here. I understand the policy (some people I am sure vacuum and didn't spend a dime for them to have this policy). I don't have a problem with them having said policy. But, SHOW ME WHERE IT SAYS SO WHEN I DRIVE UP. Then, the manager proceed to tell me that I made a left turn into the vacuum area where the arrows are pointing straight into the wash. WHERE IS THERE A NO LEFT TURN SIGN. WHERE IS THERE A SIGN THAT SAYS NO VACUUM BEFORE WASH? Needless to say, I left and went to another cash wash (mind you, same policy, but you can't access the vacuum until you exit the wash and the attendant politely told me how to get there). You drive through for a quick wash, with one person power washing the stubborn bugs and such off your bumpers before the wash and two people doing a quick dry after the wash. Car is almost perfect after the wash but you have the option to enter into one of the bays available to dry your car more and/or vacuum the inside of the car. I am a monthly subscriber to this car wash. I pay $24.99. For the last 7 days, I have attempted to get a car wash and haven't been able to because the line is so long. The line literally extends off the property and onto the public street. My car has been filthy & I've had to go to another car wash and pay $16. Every time I've come to this location- I've wondered why the line has been so long? I finally got my answer. There is another location for this car wash on the other side of the valley, so, I decided to drive over there, in hopes I could actually get a car wash there. Nope! Because that location is either permanently closed or under construction. So, all patrons of California Speed Wash are being forced to go to one location, causing the massive lines. I would have liked a notification as to what what going on. Possibly a sign at the open location explaining that the other location is either closed or temporarily closed. And what to expect going forward. This place does mediocre work at best, but it's always been convenient- but now that you have to spend 30+ minutes to wait in line for a drive thru car wash is ridiculous. *BEWARE* paying for a month of car washes is actually a subscription service that no one will tell you about. These scammers continued to charge my card for months, including raising the price. I used one month of washes and never went back, then noticed months later they continued to charge me and even raised the price. I called their phone number and sent emails through the site and no one responded to me in either form. Yes, it's my responsibility to check my account but it should be their responsibility to respond to requests and refund me money paid for services not rendered. Clearly they know this is part of their business model as they are not up front about a monthly subscription and do not respond to emails and phone calls. EDIT: Lenny is full of it. His *current* phone message says "please visit our site". Gee Lenny, does that mean your website or your actual location? When I discovered your scammy activities, the voicemail on your useless phone line was a woman's voice and she said nothing about visiting your location to cancel. She said to email the company. Why didn't you respond to my emails? You can say you "train" your employees to explain the subscription but nobody said a word to me that I was subscribing rather than paying for a month. If you aren't a scammer, why do you require people to show up to the location to cancel? What if someone moved? What if someone was in town for a short period, wanted to buy multiple washes and then leave town? Your actions and your statement are proof of your blame the customer attitude and your scammy behavior. Ask your friends how many of them read their receipts. read more

This place used to be so much better when it had other owners . First of all they took out the mirror when you drive in and it stinks now . PUT THE MIRROR BACK. it was so helpful .I am on auto renewal but my card expires and the guy signed me up like new for $9.99 then they charged me 19.99 and it's like murder to get them to refund .
