Did you really say $5 for a quick car wash that INCLUDES free self vacuuming?! I'm in! After contemplating which car wash to go to near my parents, I decided to hold off until we were driving to Costco and noticed this place. There is only one entrance, through Madera Rd. and you do have a few different options of what car wash you want. Since my car tends to get pretty dirty from living in the desert, I decided to get the quick $5 wash. After going through the wash, there is an option of turning left to park and use the vacuums that are constantly running. They say they offer a three minute vacuum service but no one really monitors how long you use it for. Since my pup rides in the back of my car, I was using a little over the complimentary time, but did notice the suction slowly decreasing. The suction wasn't the greatest, but honestly it did pick up all the sand and rocks and a small portion of the dog hair. They also have a mat vacuuming area which is cool but I only noticed two closer to the exit, where you clip the mat so it's easier to vacuum. The only part that I saw as a potential problem was some of the people exiting the vacuum area was not paying attention to the cars coming out of the wash. It might help to put some mirrors above to help people see cars coming through or about to come out, but other than that, it's a great cheap place to come to get your car washed! read more

I've been coming here from as far back as when it was $5 per wash. Then they raised it to $6. Ok, it went up a dollar - no big deal. Since my car was filthy, I went this past Sunday. Now it's at $8. While it's cleaner than it was prior to the wash, my car is still pretty dirty afterwards. Since they got rid of some staff months ago (staff that would have normally dried off/wiped down each car at the end of the wash), it's not been the same. I feel like the price has gone up while the level of service has dropped. It was a Sunday afternoon and there was nobody there. I can't help but wonder if that's a big reason why. Went there today for a quick wash, I don't use there vacuums because they are horrible with little to no power. After I washed went to the market, I noticed my front license plate was bent, not a little bent but a lot. I bent it back and looked at the hood of my car and scuff marks are all over the hood . First off, I was pretty agitated. I was sold a monthly membership with a two month introductory $9.99 (for the first two months, $29.99 thereafter). I called and called and left messages after messages. No callback. So I went over there (to get my car wash and to complain). I was greeted by Miguel (I think he was the manager on duty) and just calmly explained my issue. I showed him my original receipt and then opened my phone to show the transaction on my mobile checking app. He understood my issue and asked if I had the original card charged with me - which I did. He was happy to issue a refund of the difference and apologized, explaining that the online system had some problems recently. Despite the online system having issues, and aside from the fact that I could not reach anyone on their headquarters phone number for over a week, MIGUEL saved the day. I was pretty chill for how frustrating my situation was, but let's pretend I was a Karen ranting and throwing a tantrum - I am pretty sure Miguel could overcome. He's a good dude and handled my issue like a pro. Thank you, Miguel!! Now, the review of the actual car wash - it's a great deal and you can run your car thru as much as you'd like. I have been a member, paying a monthly fee for unlimited car washes but in the last few months they have stop drying cars, and this month I was charged an additional $10 on my credit card. When I asked I was told prices have gone up and if I wanted a refund for the unauthorized charge I would have to go through my bank. I wonder how many people have not noticed the increase. I'm done! This place was great before the remodel but have noticed scratches and other marks on my car since. Today was the final visit because the overhead brushes failed to touch my hood, windshield and roof. Also the blowers were working half as good as normal. So we had water droplets everywhere! My wife complained and they did offer to run the car again but we were in a hurry so we asked to a comp card. They refused so I said it would be the last time we come. He didn't seem bothered by that response. And why would I take my car back through again when the blowers and the overhead brushes weren't working??? I wish there was a decent car wash in Simi! If I could give zero stars I would. Employee Francisco decided to keep my AirPods I accidentally dropped and when I was looking for them by using the app "find it" to track my AirPods, they ended up at the employee's house. Now the district manager won't do anything and keeps going back and forth with building a policy of their employees keeping or not keeping items that were left behind. How is it that there isn't a policy for the employees to not keep items from customers. Luckily for me this item was able to be tracked but how many other items have these employees taken that aren't able to be tracked down. This is so unethical for the employee to keep your items and not wanting to give them back. At this point I don't feel safe using my AirPods anymore. Idk whose ears they've been in anymore. It's just disgusting and disrespectful. Clearly they don't care about the customer and will protect their employees to do unethical business. read more

Ridiculous they shut Madera down and leave monthly membership people to wait in these lines at their one facility that is open. They half dry your car and truly even with the lava package you have to go through twice to get your car cleaned. Before it was so convenient and quick it was with the sub par wash. Been to this location a few times, I usually go to the First St. location. The carwash itself is fine but there's this Bald guy that works there who stands where he's supposed to be to be directing cars, telling you when to stop and put your car in neutral and all the typical stuff. But the problem is, he doesn't. He just stands there on his phone. When he's not on his phone he'll look at you and look away. No directions given, no words, no gestures, just nothing from him. Just fend for yourself type of thing. So today when I went I had to move onto the track myself which is no problem but I don't know exactly where on the track I'm suppose to stop and put my car in neutral. I ended up being too far forward in the track so it started taking my car and I was uncomfortably close to the car in front of me inside the wash. Isn't this a safety issue or something? You have one job dude you're getting paid to do nothing must be nice. read more

Marginally better than a gas station carwash, but not worth the price jump. When they had people hand drying the car you could at least count on fewer water spots. The weak vacuums are similarly a very disappointing aspect of this increasingly expensive wash. I was a loyal customer for years. I will not be back. read more

This place has some deals that can really come out cheap if you like washing your car multiple times a month. In my second trip here, I inquired about the monthly plan (1st month is ~$10 for whichever tier you want) and the attendant, who was very kind, allowed me to go through on the house to see if I would want to get the monthly pass. I told him I'd been here before (since he thought it was my first time) but he still let me go without charging me and invited me to do a yelp review. I guess he was betting on his own business. Overall, I think it's great for the price compared to some other car washes, especially because it is really fast. My car was filthy since I had just driven through the desert for a few days. The wash (probably the lowest tier, but I don't know) did not get everything out, but no drive thru car washes ever do if your car is that bad. I finished it up with a bit of water I had and a microfiber towel. The vacuums were pretty good. Make sure to bring your own towels or you can buy a couple of microfiber towels for $1 each to finish up what isn't dried by the fans. I'll probably come back again, especially because it is so quick, but I won't get the monthly pass because I know I won't be washing my car 2+ times per month every month. 4.5/5 read more

For $5 they get the car clean enough. What I also like is how they have people who wipe it down for you (not detailed but good enough). Don't come here if you have tough old stains this is only if you need a quick wash to get some minor dust off. But five bucks for washing and drying is a good deal. Very unprofessional staff at the Simi Valley-Madera branch. One of my worst interactions with a manager of a business. The manager, Mr. Juan, kept me behind the gate (while having a valid subscription) arguing about why my sticker is not on the windshield, and if I don't let him put the sicker on my windshield he'll cancel my subscription. Almost as if he had a personal issue with me. I used to place the sticker behind the windshield when going to Speedwash and put it away when done. I do not want any sticker placed on my car's windshield, but apparently subscribing to the Speedwash service comes with this condition. read more

Only thing they could work on is directing the cars inside the wash because I'm always hitting my tire really hard while entering the wash. I'm have been washing my cars here since it opened! I love it here and the guys are always so helpful especially Chuy. I have their fast pass and it's awesome because with kids my car is always in need of a wash. It's so convenient that I can either just drive in and out so easily. Having access to the free vacuums is a life saver with all the snacks my kids eat in the car. Definitely recommend taking your car here and getting their fast pass subscription! read more

The line is always long!. They have 10 cars, and only one lane open. I don't understand why they don't open both lanes. Cars are waiting in the street to pull in and they only have one lane open. This is a consistent problem. read more

This used to be California Speed Wash and was great until the locations were bought by this "Luv car wash." Everything has been cut to reduce costs for more profit by the company, including the service, instead of multiple people guiding in cars there's now 1 person between the two lanes, and he is awful. I've been twice since the ownership change, and both times the same guy with a poor excuse for a mullet has done a piss poor job at guiding cars' tires into the slot, I watch every car as they bounce around because he doesn't watch properly, and since they covered up the above head wheel mirrors with their stupid logo, I have to rely solely on the attendants, both times I've been my wheels hit the edge hard because the guy has his attention elsewhere and just tells you to pull forward. Will not be returning to either location, poor excuse for service. read more

For $5 it beats washing your car at home I suppose. Overall the wash is pretty thorough and my car came out relatively clean. The entire station is quite small so it can be a little tricky to navigate especially in a big truck or SUV. I kinda felt like I was on a Disneyland ride due to the amount of people circling the vacuum station. Unfortunately during this "ride" you have to put in a little elbow grease to vacuum your car. My biggest gripe with California Speed Wash is the vacuuming station. Customers are suppose to be considerate of other drivers when vacuuming (10 minute limit I believe) in order to keep people moving. Many of the customers were merely hanging out and organizing their car rather than cleaning it. There was about 4 of us that were waiting like vultures for a vacuum station. I believe an employee should be in that area monitoring the cars that appear to be finished in order to allow others to utilize the vacuuming area. I dunno if I'll be back unless I'm super desperate for a car wash. Overall my speed wash was speedy but the vacuuming portion of my "speed" wash was quite slow. About 1/2 an hour and I was finally done. Might as well go to the local gas station car wash. read more

Don't listen to the 3 stars, folks; this place rocks! For $5 ($4 after 7pm) your car will get a pretty good wash. Self-serve vacuum station to the left when you're done with the car wash. So cheap, and you're literally in 'n outta there. I get my car washed bimonthly and it stays pretty clean in between the washes. Worst customer service ever! I heard a loud bang when I was going through the car wash. When I parked in the vacuum section, I saw the front license plate on my car was bent in half. I showed an employee named Juan and he said there must be something wrong with my license plate! He said it was my fault! AND he said "if you're looking for us to do something for you, you're not going to get it. We don't do that." And then he turned his back on me and walked away. Incredibly RUDE! ! Normally I don't write reviews but twice now I have been since the ownership change to LUV Car Wash and paid for the $12 wash and only gotten the $8 wash. What a terrible experience. The young man who is supposed to guide you into the tracks that pull the car through the Carwash aligned my car in a way that was making a bad noise. I honked my horn to call him over and asked what the noise was. He didn't answer. He saw my window was down and turned on the sprayer and soaked me inside the car!!! My car continued to make the grinding noise the entire time. Yes, it was in neutral and the brakes were not on. All that discomfort and my car was left dirty after the Carwash. I'll never go back.
