The car wash is fine and the deal is great. However the professionalism of a company shows completely through their employees. There is a dude named Emiliano who just seems to not separate himself from work and his phone. Being hunched down staring at a device constantly instead of a smile and wave screams teenage like behavior. Giving back to your communities with quality gestures speaks volumes especially during these times. What happened to basic human professionalism ? Today, I went to clean my car, and as soon as the first washer hit my windshield, I heard an immediate crack and sure enough I had an ~12 inch crack in my windshield! Yesterday I experienced the the rudest employees I've ever encountered. I have the pass so I can get as many car washes as I want per month with a standard rate. When I first got my car wash pass sticker, I explained to the cashier that I didn't want to put it on my windshield because of the residue and Im not putting a sticker on my Challenger? He said that's fine! don't worry about it, you have a nice car just be sure to flash the sticker pass at the gate so it will let you in! I've been doing just that FOR A WHOLE YEAR. finally yesterday, I was stopped by an employee saying I needed to have the sticker adhered to my vehicle, I explained to him the situation and what the cashier told me A YEAR AGO! He said if I didn't put the sticker on my car IMMEDIATELY he would revoke my access to the car wash or he would look up in the system who the cashier was and get him fired? all the while he is reaching into my window trying to take the sticker pass out of my hand and trying to peel it to attach it to my windshield. Absolutely inappropriate. I explained that I understand the new policy change and I WILL put the sticker in my windshield, so I can have it aligned the way I want. he says "you're taking too long and holding up the line, put it In now or he's going to revoke my pass / get the cashier (from A YEAR AGO) fired." Obviously I don't want anyone fired over a sticker so I was rushed to put on the sticker, and of course its crooked! :) don't you love that! Still paying the same amount, but getting less service. It is a real shit show now, now pre-spraying for the numerous bugs one hits in Southern California and they cannot be bothered to semi dry the vehicle. The dryer we just went through did a very poor job. Because everyone needs to dry their car, there are rarely available openings for the vacuums. This is mixed review. I think it's a good drive thru carwash. Just dont buy one of their wash packages online. I did and never received it. Sent 4 emails and left 2 phone messages and never received any replies. Went to the carwash and was told they couldn't help me because I didn't have a receipt. I didn't have a receipt because they never sent one. That was what my first email was regarding. I had my credit card statement showing I was charged but that didn't work. Was told they would let the manager know and I would hear from him but never did. I tried to be patient but after 2 weeks I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card and it is being investigated. I was going there every Saturday and did this to save a little bit of money . I'm giving this car wash four stars and not five because I think the bristles that are used may be hard on your car possibly. If you have an older vehicle and you just want your car cleaned without the hassle and you don't want to have to pay for someone to detail it then for $8 dollars (that's the cheapest option) you can get a decent car wash. When I had my older car I would take it here and it did a good job of cleaning the outside and at the end you drive through a dryer which works pretty well. Then as soon as you're done you can pull into a spot and vacuum the inside of your car which is very convenient. I didn't have to interact with the staff often but when I did they were very nice and someone stands outside and helps direct your vehicle onto the track. Sometimes people will have stuff in their car that gets sucked into the vacuum which can make it hard to vacuum when it's your turn. If that happens then just move to another vacuum, but you may have to wait for someone to finish because they do get pretty busy at certain times. But that has only really happened once or twice. If you go in the morning early you have a good chance because they empty everything out at night. Now that I have my newer car I'm not going to take it back there because I don't want to take a chance of it scratching my vehicle, which it may not but I'm trying to find a touch free car wash here in Simi which I'm having a hard time doing. BEWARE!!! You might want to make sure that your side-view mirrors are not motorized retractable when you pull in. I put my in on my Lexus GS350, and when I got to the end of the wash where they wipe it down, the morons yanked on the mirrors to deploy them, stripping the gears. Estimated cost of repair: $1200 per mirror. When I confronted the "manager", tried to tell me that my passenger waved for him to go ahead. I have a video of the whole thing that proves he's a liar. He denied any liability, and I'll soon be serving him with a court summons. read more

Tried the infamous California Speed Wash for the first time last week because they were open after 5:00 PM and were affordable. This was both my first and last time thanks to a pretty crappy experience. First let's talk about the location. Why the City of Simi Valley would permit a traffic-intensive business like this on the corner of a busy intersection with limited property access is a mystery to me. Cars in line for the car wash back up onto the right lane of Madera and can even end up blocking the intersection. Very poor permitting and planning. Once on the property, the only way to bypass the car wash and exit is to wait in the enormous line first. More poor planning. Then the self-vacuum area is a loop which dumps traffic into the car wash exit. Really stupid. When you exit the wash, you're put onto L.A. Ave. Eastbound and you cannot proceed North or West. If you're heading East - this is the car wash for you. Second let's talk about crowds. This place gets extremely crowded, especially after work on a weekday. The two lines of cars entering the place sit while waiting for one of the two wash bays to open up. Perhaps the most frustrating part is exiting the wash and going to the self-vacuum area only to find that all of the spots are occupied. Because of the poor design, you can't simply wait for a spot to open up either or else it quickly becomes gridlock. Third let's talk about speed & service. When I went, I upgraded to a wash including Armor All on the tires. When the wipe down was complete, the attendant gave me the thumbs up as if I was done. He obviously had no clue that my wash was to include Armor All. I waited patiently on the curb near the wash exit but they still didn't get it. I finally walked out and around the building to remind the manager that I needed my tires dressed. I waited again and nothing. Finally I had to walk around the building a second time to remind the manager, who finally informed the staff to throw some dressing on the tires. In the end, what should've been a 5 minute wash took around 20 minutes. That and no wipe down, no interior windows cleaned and I'd have to vacuum the car myself. So in the end, the California Speed Wash was slow, offering poor service, less value for your money, was incredibly crowded with poor and dangerous access and inattentive staff. Those guys are awesome, Manger very friendly, staff very nice and the guys that wipe down your car do a great job! This included tire dressing, wet naps for my dashboard and access to the vacuum's. Worth it! Plus, they've added a new feature - they enter your license plate # into their computer and every 10th car wash is free. (I love free!) The vacuum's are super powerful and even from a distance were able to suck hidden stuff from under my seats (creepy and cool at the same time). Saturday afternoon a couple friends came by for a visit and asked if I'd had my car detailed. Wahoo! First, bring extra $$$. The $5.00 Car Wash is now a $7.00 Car Wash, but they don't advertise, post, or tell you that until you drive up into their driveway where it's impossible to back up and escape. Even their website screams - $5.00 Car Wash!!! So, they lose some stars there. The concept - quick & convenient - is good. I remember going through drive thru car washes like this one when I was a kid. My parents made it into an event like a theme park ride. So I have happy memories here. But, since it's opened 6 months ago the car wash results have gone down hill. And now, with the latest raise of price (surprise raise of price , no less), I'm disappointed. They've lost my business. I've taken my cars here several times now, and find it convenient on many levels. The cars always come out clean and it only takes about 10 minutes. I'm the guy who always washed his own vehicles. I would sign up for the occasional monthly 'unlimited' washes" if it didn't turn into automatic recurrent monthly credit card charges. Keepng track of that and cancelling it is a hassle. Tip: As you pull up to the car wash track, ask the guy to spray both sides of your car during a prewash. He said someone complained that their process scratched his wheels so they dont' clean wheels. This place is great! Getting in and out of there in a short time is never a problem. It's good that they include a free vacuum with your wash. It helps to save a dollar or two. I just though of something the other day when I went there and they weren't open yet I wonder if they would consider opening at 7:00, even 2 or 3 days a week. I really like this car wash. First tip: never pay full price. You should go first thing in the morning for the early bird special, evening for "happy hour," or buy multiple car washed for a discount. I usually buy two $10 washes for $15--you have a month to use the second, and I don't go that often. (I've found the $5 wash is pretty minimal.) Second, you do get a lot. In addition to a good (not great) wash, you get hand drying, and you get access to pretty good vacuums at the end. I come here regularly. Obviously, I wish it scrubbed a little better on my windshield in particular, but I'll keep returning. read more
