New ownership has ruined the business. No longer the heart shaped, uniform cookies that were signature of name change. Choc pecan cookies; too big of chunks of pecan on top, why? Not well or uniform chopped, irregular sizing, too big chocolate chunks. Blonde, dry, horrible taste, so sad. There is no longer any uniformity or consistency. Was assured new ownership had OG recipes, nothing would change. Sad to see this once great bakery already ruined. To ad insult to injury, hitting customers with go fund me to get more money? I haven't been to the new location, but I am a long-time fan of Main Street Cookies! I used to walk for coffee when I was pregnant and the coffee stand always had these delicious frosted cookies! I ate far too many, lol! Can't wait to try the new location! read more

Small little shop out by the airport in Tumwater. Quickly greeted upon entering. Several different cookies available in the case. Most of them heart shaped. I got 6 different cookies. Snickerdoodle, Iced Snickerdoodle, Oatmeal Butterscotch, Double Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, and one with a bunch of stuff in it--I think oatmeal, chocolate chops, nuts, raisins...they were all delicious. The price is a little steep for cookies, but I guess there is a market for expensive cookies these days (Crumbl, Crave, etc). These are definitely better cookies than the competition. It would be nice to see a discount available for certain quantity tiers, as I think $25 for 8 cookies is a bit much. Otherwise, very yummy...but will be an occasional treat for us. read more

To say we're sad about the move from Rainier to Olympia would be an understatement! To have this bakery so close was a double blessing as we loved the variety, the service and for me, their yummy peanut butter and chocolate cookies!!! We can only hope they'll expand back to Rainier!!!! read more

I just want to make sure that people understand that my original review was for Main Street Cookie Company in Rainier. They changed their name and location to some out of the way strip mall in Tumwater. They had a limited number of choices and none of the dozen flavors we had become accustomed to over the years. I only bought 4 instead of the usual dozen due to lack of flavors. I ate one and brought the rest home. Both my wife and I decided not to even finish the remaining 2 cookies. The flavor was gone. The texture was gone. They almost tasted worse than a Crumbl cookies. Due to poor location and a steep drop in taste, I won't ever be going back. read more

Fantastic texture with a crisp outside edge but perfectly soft baked inside. Same for the icing, crisp shell with luxurious soft inside. My sister tried the oatmeal butterscotch cookie and that's a home run. I got the butter frosted with orange, and it's good, but I don't really taste the orange. I'd give it another star, but I noticed that our server seemed a little annoyed when we asked a question, but she was friendly with the next guy who was white. I'm not mad because maybe the other customer was a personal friend, but my sister did notice how she was all frowns with us and she smiled with him. You don't have to like everybody and I know that sometimes you're just not happy to be at work, but maybe be more consistent with the way you treat each customer. I also didn't give it another star because I don't know if they have coffee or milk, which would have been nice with the cookies. They also have no seating, but maybe they will in the summer. If they do, then they deserve another star I'll try this place again soon because the cookies are excellent. Update: Came in again a month later and the cookies are still solid. The gentleman who helped us was super courteous so he was worth the an extra star, but the gingerbread and oatmeal butterscotch cookies were a bit overcooked. Plus the oatmeal butterscotch and chocolate chip chunk cookies had a little too much baking soda so they were puffy and dry, instead of rich and buttery. Maybe they just had an off day today. The stern lady was there, but she had her office face on, so I don't ding her for that. Business is tough these days so she probably has a lot on her mind. read more

Just driving by and it looked cute. It's worth the stop! They had a display case with over a dozen different types of large cookies. I got the butterscotch chip oatmeal with macadamia nuts (never had it with macadamias before). Really chewy, fresh, fantastic tasting. The taste and texture are absolutely perfect, their chocolate chip cookies have just the right amount of sweetness combined with a sort of caramelization that's hard to describe unless you try it yourself. I found these cookies to be ah-mazing!! Like, seriously delicious cookies. They are super crispy on the edges and tender in the middle. You can actually taste the real butter in these cookies. These cookies are thick- DO NOT promise your kids they get a whole one before you know what you're getting into. I repeat- NO PROMISES! Plenty of variety in the display case, coffee smells good. Owners work the counter. And just so you know- there's nowhere to sit down. It's an in-and-out deal. I always buy the amazon local punchcard so they come out to $1 ea (rather than $2), quarter them and freeze some. If/when they stop doing amazon deals I will still be a happy customer :) read more

I absolutely love their cookies! When the owner was running the front I always felt welcomed. I haven't been in there for quite some time, but I went in today and the lady at the front was really rude to me. She made me feel like I was putting her out. I called to see if I can order 1 dozen of their amazing sugar cookies with pink frosting. They said yes but it would take a few minutes. That was totally fine, not a problem, but when I asked her if I could add a few more cookies to the box she rudely explained that there were 2 orders ahead of mine. Then, 20 minutes later when a gentleman comes in she THEN asks her co-worker to help fill these orders. She's lucky the cookies are absolutely amazing! I really hope the manager sees this post and trains her staff on customer service, how to prioritize and definitely learn to ask for help sooner then later. She's not cutting it!! read more
