We ordered the Hawaiaan BBQ Mix, and then mini meals of Loco Moco and Chicken Katsu plus some potstickers -- we wanted to get a good mix of items. The BBQ Mix was probably the best - the Kaibi short ribs were excellent. The bbq beef and chicken were also good, with a heavy soy marinade. Was not as impressed with the loco moco, not used to seeing peanut butter added to the gravy and the gravy was watery compared to what I havw traditionally eaten. Chicken katsu was good, potsticker dumpling a tad dry compared to other potstickers. Overall a good experience, looking forward to trying it again. I really didn't care much for the macaroni, just not my favorite. Won't be yours either if you don't like a lot of mayo. Flavor on the meat was perfect for me!!! We ordered Luv Hawaiian BBQ for delivery through DoorDash yesterday. I've been wanting to try it since they opened a couple of months ago, and I'm happy to say I enjoyed their food! I can't speak to service or atmosphere, but I can only conclude they made our order promptly, as it was delivered to us within the delivery time we were given. Our order was correct. Thursday I trekked to Luv Hawaiian BBQ to sample their wares. The restaurant was just opening and only a few people were ahead of me. I placed my to go orders and patiently waited. There were two employees working. Glancing back towards the kitchen the young man back there was working very hard cooking to fill customers orders. I ordered BBQ Chicken and Kalbi Short Ribs, Hawaiian BBQ Mix of BBQ Beef, BBQ Chicken and Kalbi Short Ribs, and a bowl of BBQ Chicken Noodle Soup. Each plate order comes with a scoop of macaroni salad and 2 scoops of white rice. The BBQ Chicken and BBQ Beef were delicious. The macaroni salad was delicious! The white rice was mushy to me. The Kalbi Short Ribs I wouldn't order again as they were tough and full of gristle. The BBQ Chicken Noodle Soup is a miso based soup that tasted more of Napa cabbage rather than miso. I was at home when I ate the soup and I doctored it with a little more shiro miso, hot sauce and fish sauce. There was plenty of Napa cabbage, mushrooms and lots of BBQ Chicken in the bowl. It was great after doctoring. Please give Luv Hawaiian BBQ a try. You will enjoy the BBQ and supporting our local businesses helps them and our economy.
