I have been a customer here for several years but I haven't been in awhile, I came in wed 3/4/26 around 11:00am to get a tan and the girl at the front desk (Riley) was there working and checked me in. So after checking in I asked her if she would refresh me on how the bed worked and she just looked at me and described that there was a touch screen control panel, I said usually when I would come in and ask for help with operating the bed I would get some help. Riley just stood there refusing to budge explaining that the touch screen will guide me through, i was appalled at the level of customer service that she offered being that its been awhile since I been in. When I left I asked her how come when I asked her to show me how the bed worked, why wouldn't she help me and she responded "well you have been here before". It was no customers behind me or even in the entire place from what I had seen, so I didn't understand why that mattered and due to the number of beds that are in the place, some differ than others. Not only that, but that should be part of customer service I would think since its pretty expensive to patronize the establishment anyways, mostly I have had good experiences here but this day for some odd reason she was cold and distant and it was almost as if I was being racially profiled (im a fair skinned black guy) or i had done something to her, it was very disturbing to say the least. I think she should get trained on customer service relations if she is going to be working at the front desk taking people's money, I would think helping them further would just be part of the job. read more

I have been going to this location over the last few years and absolutely appreciate how knowledgeable and helpful the staff has been. I've gotten airbrushed--amazing -and have also been prepping for a sunny trip, which they helped me build a tan safely, so I won't get scorched with virgin skin. I let her know that I wanted to sign up and that I had experience with tanning in the past. She thoroughly explained how all of the packages worked and answered all of my questions before signing me up. All of this was achieved in minutes and was able to tan right away. I had a great experience working with Mikayla, Customer Service. I truly expected to get "the runaround" when I explained the situation but instead was pleasantly surprised that she actually listened, asked questions, and seemed truly concerned about my experience, and without going into details, came up with a very fair solution that I was happy with. So, I decided to try their free week of the various skin and light therapies. Wow. Loved it. I first did the Anti-aging body therapy. which was great-red light therapy that reduces signs of aging, improves complexion, circulation, inflammation, speeds healing. Then I went into the Anti-aging Photofacial. Awesome. They seat you in a full-blown neck-to-toes massage chair that totally relaxed me (I went level 4, could have gone 6). The light was soothing. Then off to the Wellness Pod Body Therapy. Wow. Literally neck down, in a "pod" with dry heat, aromatherapy using near, mid and far Infrared light. There are a number of settings, and I did the weight management one. It gets nice and hot, but not unbearable. Very comfortable and relaxing. Slept like a baby that night. Unfortunately, I have to go out of town and will miss out on the rest of my free week trial. :-( I appreciate the professional manner in which Mikayla represented her company in giving excellent customer service, and instead of driving clients away, made me want to go back and remain a regular customer. read more

Did not like this place at all. -Staff aggressively push pricey products, then tell you what you've purchased is not the best and you should buy another product. -I was asked to show that I have lotion before going into a bed, which is a customer choice not a requirement (but they don't seem to know that). -Terrible lighting in the rooms!! Can't even see yourself before/after. Intentional? -Cracked beds invite bacterial growth (see picture). -Some areas clean, others dirty. -Cords strung about in the dark rooms are unsafe. -Super young staff love to chat it up with customers for 15 minutes leaving other customers just standing at counter waiting. These kids are WAY more into being social than assisting customers. Do not go here assuming you will get right into a room. -Expressed my dissatisfaction with manager and she responded well, thanks. But, the kids running the place are just more pushy and disinterested in customer service than I need to deal with. I've been tanning since before these kids were born for goodness sake, I don't need to hear the elongated sales pitches. Just give me a (uncracked preferred) bed and leave me be! (Preferably in a room with some light). So, I will go elsewhere next time. read more

She had an amazing personality making you forget your butt naked in front of a stranger :) and was so accommodating when telling her my desired color. Go to other locations, this one is the WORST! The staff here are so incredibly rude and inappropriate. God forbid customers actually come in and you have to greet them and do work?!? Wow, tough gig. Even had one staff member at this location repeatedly hit on my boyfriend - in front of me and otherwise. When I would come in, the staff person could not remember my name (and we were coming here 2-3 times/week at this point). After they looked up my name, they would get all giddy and look up at me and ask "how [bf's name] is?! Oh, where is he?" *pouty face* Ugh. Gag me. We moved to Federal Way and are tanning again for a trip so we usually go to the Fife location (way mo' better!) and we have also used the Bellevue location as well (also really great). This Renton Landing location is DIRTY and nothing is ever stocked (waters, bathrooms, etc.). I have only gotten burned tanning at this location because the staff do not listen to you when you are trying to assess how long you should go in the beds for (I'm talking level 5, here, yes the beds you should NOT burn in!). So that makes twice now that the staff do not know about their own beds enough that me and my bf get burnt... so what are they getting paid for? Avoid this location. It is all around no good. The manager should whip this place into shape. It's crazy not okay. read more

I was sold on a tanning package the last time I was in. They up sold me to their premium spray tan package and offered a 6 package program. A week after the initial treatment I called to schedule the second appointment and was told they weren't offering that service anymore due to Covid-19. I totally and completely understand the necessity to make changes during this pandemic. However, when I bought the package it was already July, so they had full knowledge of the situation. The most frustrating part was that when I requested a refund due to their inability to provide the service I purchased, I was told they wouldn't do that and since the package didn't expire I could just use it towards a different package or wait until they offered the services again. This is just not acceptable. I would never sell someone a service and then just tell them it's too bad I'm not offering that anymore, but thanks for your money. This is completely unprofessional and the people I've talked to have been zero help in coming to a resolution. I've charged back the payment through my credit card company and will never go to this facility again, not because they had to cancel the service due to Covid, but because of the way they handled this after the fact! read more

Go to the other locations if you can! I like all of the brand new beds here but the service is terrible. The staff is rude, I have had to wait in 8+ person line multiple times for over 10 minutes each time to get checked in, they are always eating at the counter, and I've had to remind them multiple times that they are out of paper towels or toilet paper. Once they were out of both paper towels and toilet paper! I have tanned at the downtown Bellevue location since they opened years ago and I prefer to tan there or at the Factoria location because the staff is friendlier. read more

Lots and lots of beds of your choice. High pressure beds and not high pressure beds (duh lol) and my personal fav, Verso PRO spray tan, three of them to be exact. Waaaay better then the regular Versa, it has warm heating and drying cycles and a smoother more blended tan. Love it! Bigdaddy and I were very delighted that we were getting better tanning options and at half the price then our old tanning place in Oregon. We were giddy that we were saving cash and getting way cooler beds and versas!! :D The girls were great with no salesman pressure to buy this or that. I also love that there is a Seattle Sun Tan in almost every city in the area. We travel a bunch around town so its nice to be able to swing on in anywhere to get some sun....lol cuz you know you wont be getting any of the real thing here in Seattle!! :) we love our rain but can look like we just walked off the plane from Miami..why not?!? read more

Man this location sucks!!!!! Don't ever go here, customer service is terrible!!! The big fake blond girl at the front desk argued with me because I liked a tanning prep lotion that she didn't, I wanted the bronze tanning formula in the Versaspa (I was going to a big get together) and she didn't understand why anyone got bronze because she always gets clear, etc.... Basically everything I wanted and liked she didn't and acted like I was crazy for it. I was like wtf kind of customer service is this?! Terrible!!! I have been tanning at Seattle Sun Tan for a couple years at other locations and never had such a lousy Sales Rep. And guess what, when I got out of the versaspa it didn't look like I had tanned at all. Fantastic. What a waste........ It's sad they can't maintain their acrylics on the beds. Several times I have had to tell them the beds aren't clean with lotion marks all over the top and bottom. When asked why they haven't switched their acrylic out the manager stated they seal their acrylics with a seal well that's funny when a acrylic gets a crack you can't fix it with a gel nor a glue the only way to fix it to replace it read more

The tanning salon I've gone to for years closed due to retirement so I decided to give these guys a try and was really happy. The two ladies that helped me were both named Brittany. They were friendly, answered all my questions and gave me a tour; all with absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. I told them what my needs were and they helped me put together the perfect package. The location is beyond clean. The decor is fantastic and makes for a really relaxing tan. They have a wide selection of lotions. Love that they also have a small selection of cold drinks for after tanning. I work in several different locations throughout the week so it's really nice that my tans can be used at any location. I was in during a weekday afternoon so there was so wait. Not sure what other days/times are like but definitely worth a wait if needed. Prices were very reasonable and location is great; plenty of shopping and dining you can easily walk to. I don't go tanning very often, mostly for special occasions or right before a vacation. I like this location because it's conveniently located with lots of parking. It's also very open feeling compared to some of the other cramped locations. I also like that since they have lots of beds, I hardly have to wait more than 5 minutes. The customer service is hit or miss. During my most recent visit, the girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful. She noticed my package was about to run out and informed me of the birthday discount I would get if I signed up for another package.
