I am doing a review because this treatment worked for me. I did cool sculpting and T shock. To be honest and transparent when I arrived for my appointment the lady at the front desk was not welcoming at all. I am in to Customer Service being a business owner and she let me down. But, Lettie the lady who actually worked on me was great. She went into great detail about the procedures I was signed up for. I felt really comfortable with her and eventually I found myself opening up and talking to her about why I was there and what my concerns were. The only reason I am not giving a 5 is due to the initial person I met. I work hard for my money, and I will not spend it somewhere I don't feel welcome. I have to admit I had a fat area, and it has evened out and my belly looks so much better. I think I got the best results the following week. I did this on Palm Sunday if I am correct. Had to be one of the best first experiences I've ever had. My boyfriend and I came in for an appointment for our first cryotherapy session and had no idea what to expect. Obviously it was going to be cold but had no idea as to what extent. I was honestly so nervous but Amanda was very helpful and assured that all was going to be fine. Went into a room and got into my birthday suit, put on their robe, socks, gloves, and slippers that they provided and I was set. I volunteered to go first. She set up the booth and raised up the stool so my head reached over the chamber. Gave her my robe and she set the timer on the chamber. I'm actually glad my boyfriend and her were both in the room with me because they were able to let the time pass faster. Only did 2.5 minutes this time but it usually takes 3 minutes max per session. It was cold, started to shake a bit towards the end, and noticed the coldest parts of my body were the areas I really needed help on. Amanda let us know that for our next session we have the option of putting on some tunes or turning the lights of if we wanted to relax any more or meditate. After cryotherapy we were also given a chance to experience their Normatec machines. HEAVEN!! Made my legs feel completely new. You have the option to Normatec your legs, hips and back, or arms. Crooks. I signed up for a 3 month package but after 3 treatments I became very ill & was informed that die to my blood thinning medication I rely on to prevent abnormal clotting , Eliquis, and the because I have a heart arrythmia, I was instructed to cease all cryo treatments at once. I was never given a list of medications that prevented me from ever being a candidate for cryotherapy; if I had been given that information, I would have known that Eliquis was among the prescriptions with the most urgent warnings against cryotherapy as it could result in permanent disability or death. I let Lux Cryo know at once that I could not utilize the cryotherapy package and they charged me anyway. They are absolute charlatans who take advantage of their customers by withholding information they are legally obligated to disclose , continue to charge people for packages / services that they know clients cannot utilize and were given a physicians letter explaining that I could not have cryotherapy and she advised that they did not follow Oregon's required disclosures that are meant to inform that they have no medical personnel advising the business but disseminated health , wellness information that is not only known to be inaccurate but endangers clients such as me. Lux Cryo continued to charge my account knowing I was not accessing the service and why. It has taken nearly 2 years for my bank to meet with me & an arbitrator over charges i disputed but it looks as though these criminals are finally going to be forced to pay back the money they bilked me out of as well as having to pay a hefty fine for deceptive advertising & unethical business practices. Over a week ago I wrote a review about my experience going into the NW 13th location and it had no air conditioner with the high degree temperature Portland was experiencing it was uncomfortable going in there. A few days later a manager at the Mall 205 location bullied me into taking it down. Her approach was wrong and instead of validating my feelings she said things like " well alot of people don't go there any way" like it didn't matter that it was hot and literally hot air was coming out of the fans in the red light because there was no cold air circulating. It's wrong to bully people and invalidate their feelings. I do enjoy the Mall 205 location a great deal! The women there are amazing but the manager went to far. If you have aches and pains, back spasms, sore legs after that big lift on leg day, get thee to cryopdx. Imma veteran of back pain and back spasms and my legs are always sore. I lift, jog, dance and yoga. Lately I've added a lot of handstands to my practice and it's left my back tight and firing off spasms. Chiro? Did that, no relief. Massage, wonderful and relaxing, some temporary relief, stretching, yeah feels good but super tight and sore in the morning. What to do? Well, living in downtown Portland is a wellness lovers dream. I can't recall the name of the technician who has been working on me right now but she has been really patient with explaining to me how things work and what to expect. I've gained a lot of weight in the past 2 years even with not having a great appetite and eating fewer calories than before the weight gain. A lot of that has been on the back of my arms and upper back, which are not areas in which I've ever gained weight before. After 2 sessions the fat in those areas has been significantly reduced (1/2 inch total I believe). I'm happy with my sessions and will continue to go back. read more

"MAKE IT MAKE SENSE" I enquired originally about a $199 Cryo T-shock Fat Reduction with HBS Sculpt Muscle Building offer online. A lady named Britney followed up with me. We spoke about the services and she answered any questions I had. I then reviewed their website and decided I would benefit from a different service combo. The T-shock body $99 & T-shock Facial $49 so she took a deposit and scheduled me for 1pm today. She told me the deposit would be applied to my service and when there to pay the remainder. I arrived for my appointment and they seemed confused with my services and tried to collect the wrong amount from me. I told them what was discussed and i paid for the two services i was about to receive minus my deposit. All seemed to be well. I went into my service and the technician started with my facial. Then she stepped away to use the bathroom between services. When she returned she said the owner asked her to stop my service as their was some confusion about my services and what was paid. And proceeded to tell me that they might require me to pay more. Something about the company they used to require my business gets the deposit and i needed to cover that basically. I said how is that my problem when i paid my deposit it was made clear they would deduct that from my scheduled services. She said she would come back with an answer. I was like what....? As i sat in the room this started to not sit right with me. And what a miserable experience after all this was a new experience i was curious and excited about being an esthetician myself. So then i decided to leave. I asked them to just refund my payment and then I would just pay for the facial I received minus the deposit. So after them going back and forth with owner on the phone. They finally figured out how to return my credit card refund. Mind you its been a whole hour i have been sitting and waiting in the lobby. Then the technician and manager both tried to convince me i needed to still pay the full amount of the promo facial of $49. I again was like what i already paid a deposit so technically i owe only $20. They again after going back and forth and insistent that they could not take less. I was like WOWWWW in the back of my mind. Where are the cameras this has to be a joke. Who makes a customer feel like they are responsible for their advertising fees with this outside company. Stunned I'm like who is this owner and please make it make sense is he just the owner or is he genuinely in this business field. And they said ya he's just the owner and his name is Neal. I said well someone needs to tell Neal that not only did he not collect the income for my second service he waisted an hour of my time the techs and managers time. Not to mention i could have referred customers if this had been an enjoyable experience. And the technician almost had me convinced to pay for additional treatments before this stupidity even started. So guess what bad business equals no business and lost business. The manager eventually started to say well its my fault and ill just pay the remainder. I'm like remainder of what. Make it make sense. How are you or me responsible for a company that he uses to advertises and takes business for them. I did not give them my card again and walked to Safeway on the corner to get $20 cash and $18 tip for the tech. As they still have my deposit or i guess their advertising company does. So after all that i left their establishment at 3:17pm. TOTAL WASTE OF MY DAY for the worst experience i have ever had. read more

This is long overdue. The CryoPDX Family is amazing. I knew about cryo from many chiropractic conventions and podcasts. I knew when this place opened up that I needed to give it a try! I was visiting friends in Portland and we decided to try the cryo trend. We went on 7/15 and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. they put us at ease so and we each signed up for the trial (about 2 minutes in the cryo tank and 15 minutes in the normatec all for just $25). The cryo felt great! The guy working there supervised us and tried to distract us as best as possible. I felt great once it was over, I had a huge burst of energy! The normatec was just ok, but I didn't have any pain to start with, so it's not like I needed it. So you HATE cold and you're not going to go! Meh! Focus here a second. See the camber, the tank, the tube of feel good in the pictures? It's open on the top and the entire side opens for you to step in and out. You walk in the room, disrobe, put on socks/slippers, gloves and a robe. The attendant comes back in, opens the chamber and you step in. At this point it's -180 or so and yeah you feel a 'chill'. The door closes, the top of the chamber is about shoulder height and they turn it on. Party fog starts rolling in, ya know, like at those wacky Halloween parties you used to go to, and for two minutes you watch the temperature drop and ya think- eh not so bad, I'm BAD ASS, I can do this, it feels colder outside! BING it's over and you step out where you realize you are just as warm as when you got in. No running for a coffee or a fireplace, no chattering teeth, you just get dressed and walk out. Now there's all sorts of stuff going on inside of you- and not everything good for you is blatantly apparent- but your blood is hopping, your liver popp'n, your heart jam'n all doing their thing with the boost of blood, lactic acid etc... and that night you'll sleep like the dead. The ambiance is great, the experience was awesome! Deb was extremely friendly and answered all of our questions very thoroughly. I need a hip replacement, so I wasn't sure how much relief I could expect from a single treatment, but I absolutely felt better by the he time I left! It was much easier to move, my joints felt as though they were gliding, as they're supposed to, instead of like forcing a rusty hinge, as they usually feel. Cyro PDX is #1- if you are thinking about doing cyrotherapy and not sure where to go, make sure you go to CyroPdx in the Pearl because the owners are extremely caring and knowledgeable as well as real experts about the therapy , and how it works as well as committed to making your experience a great one! (Syd is one of the owners and she is amazing and sweet and SO helpful !!) The first time I went in, honestly, I was SO scared about freezing and very worried, but i really wanted to try it because i have bad tinnitus in my head and read all the studies that it can help ( and it has definitely helped) the staff were very reassuring and made me feel calm, and honestly the whole body therapy is a piece of cake, the staff chat with you while you are in the chamber (if you want, you can just "chill" out too") and it is over before you know it, it is the fastest 3 minutes ever, and you've had this incredible experience that is great for your body and mind.
