She was critical of my sparse eyelashes, accused me of having bad extensions before, and repeatedly questioned me about my hair and eyebrows and who had 'done' them. She never discussed options with me, and the only question she asked was how long I wanted them. I told her I was relatively new to the process, and had only done them the one time before...by her, at this location a few months prior. I didn't want them to be too long, and they were. She said that next time I would need to tell her what 'number' I wanted...like I should know what the numbers are. All in all, she wasn't pleasant and griped at me throughout the process. I came from work and still had some lingering mascara on, which made her angry. She jabbed at my eyelashes with tweezers to remove it, and told me that she would charge $25 to remove it next time. She even saved the tissue to prove to me that she removed mascara. My eyelash extensions are now clumped together with blobs of glue, and are ripping off my own eyelashes as a result. If you are experienced with having lash extensions, and you want them cheap and fast, maybe you would have a better experience here. If you are new to the process, go somewhere with better customer service and technique.

Then he came back with a look like "you're still here?" I said "uhm, I'm confused, embarrassed, and inconvenienced." Then he accused me of going off in him! LOL. This is CRAZY! Wow. I noticed the lovely medium to light skin women in the shop with their softer coils (not curls) and without a doubt I know that my length of hair is not the problem. It's my darker skin tone and 4c hair. The women looked mortified for me and a stylist looked like she wanted to console me but she didn't . His whole attitude was trash.

The salon also offers nail tech services in the very back of the salon. Surprisingly I didn't smell the foul odor that most nail salons have. I wouldn't have known there was a nail tech in the building if I didn't ask what were in the back rooms. Overall I liked this salons vibe and stylist Dyson's work quality. All hands down to Lux Nail Bar Called for an appointment early in the morning before the salon got so busy. First walk in the manager check me in and ask me to pick out pedicure on the menu. They're had different type of pedicure make me so excited want to try it all. I pick the organic pedicure with mango flavor and pick out my gel toes polish. They have so many different color gel cat-eyes gel, changing color gel a lot of color to choose. After pick out color, I had Tina for my pedicure, she very professional take her time take care my callus that's build up from standing 10hour a day at work. She even take out my deep ingrown been hurt my toes for couple weeks. After all the callus and ingrown taking care off time for the best part of the pedicure it's massage time Tina so gentle give me so relaxing. Second time coming back to this nail salon and still super impressed with everything. I came back little over 2 week overdue on my nail and the nail still look good. This time I get new dipping set and pedicure done. Natalie come and start the water for my feet to be soak, she make sure my water in good temperature before she went get ready pedicure tray. The tray come out neat, clean and all the tool still in sanitation bag. While I'm get my pedicure done Patty came soak my old dipping set off. She take her time soak my nail off without damage my nails bed. I'm really picky about my nail unevenly Patty really take her time to make sure it even for me. Both my feet and nail come out prefect. Beautiful location. Poor service. Besides the 45 minute wait- My deluxe pedicure involved my tech doing his work half assed. My water was left turn on cold and by the time they came back to check on me the tub was full of freezing water. I asked for one of their complimentary drinks and they said they didn't have it so I asked for a different one and not available either. Ended up with just water. My tech kept getting distracted by any conversation on the other said of the location and left my toes looking patchy. When he said "good?" I said "no and pointed out the trouble spots" he LITERALLY groaned and added another coat. Only reason not one star is because it's a pretty space and quiet. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Lux today. Walked in for my appointment and they took me right back. Ryan did a fabulous job on my ombré dip. He was very detailed in making sure everything was the way I wanted it. The manager,(didn't get his name) was very friendly and brought me a drink. I came in to get my pedicure done it's surprised at the reasonable costs for nail and pedicure services. My toes come out great and lasts a long time, I'll definitely be going there from now on! I hated this place! Not everything that looks good is good. The service is terrible, I had to remove all my nails 3 days after getting my nails done here because they were all essentially breaking and lifting!
