We went in for a manicure and pedicure and picked out our gel polish and services. When we were "Done". I let the woman know she hadn't painted my nails yet. She awkwardly told me if I wanted them painted with normal polish to match she could do that. At this point my friend had hers done already and I was ready to go. When I looked at my bill I saw I was charged for getting gel polish on but it never happened. She never even asked If I wanted them painted and just charged me for a service not done. On top of that, I still have dirt under my nails because it was never cleaned. My feet also show no signs of a pedicure outside of painted toes. Although everyone was friendly, won't be going back. $118 for toes done and nails filed is insane. read more

1.5.2022 Updating my review from 5 yrs. ago. My daughter came here a few weeks ago to get her nails done. For whatever reason her nails did not last. They starting lifting up within days. With the holidays it would have been impossible to get them repaired. She decided to give them one more try. We both were in need of a pedicure as well. I like going somewhere else but decided to give them a try since I have not been here in years. We both had appointments. Two techs started on my daughters hands and feet and I was just sitting waiting, and waiting. No one came to tell me that they were running late. I waited for 35 minutes. I decided to put my shoes back on and was going to leave. Then someone showed up and was ready to do my pedicure. They close in 50 minutes and I did not want a rushed pedicure. 2 ladies talked me into getting my pedicure done. They also were talking about another customer about how she was being very demanding for 2 hours. This was very unprofessional. My pedicure was just ok; it was rushed and the massage was not really a massage. It was just her running her hands up and down a few times. They gave me a free paraffin wax treatment for running 35-40 minutes last. That was a nice but I would have preferred someone simply telling me they were running 35-40 minutes behind. (I was thinking they forgot about my appointment.) My daughter only had about an inch of water to soak her feet in. (That's weird) She likes her nails in coffin shape but, her nails are all different shapes. Some are wide some are narrow and the color is lighter on a few of them. She spent $100 plus tip. $60 hands/$40 pedicure. Long story short: We both were not happy with our service today. I will NOT be returning nor will my daughter. They always seem to be short staffed, and running behind even though they are never busy. We can not put our finger on what the problem is here but it definitely has one. read more

You would think with that a nail salon being in the heart of Towne Lake would be everything but it's not. A friend of mine would always say that she would never go here and I never understood why, for crying out loud they have a freaking Crumbl across the street! Low and behold it is not a cleanly place, not at all. I really tried to get over the dated decor because of the location but just couldn't. Kind and very attentive staff but less than stellar work. For starters, $50 nail job that didn't look anything like it. I don't cook, wash my hair or lift anything in 4 days and yet I notice a crack. After mornings of my hair getting caught in it (see: how I noticed in the first place!) I just pried it off & figured out how to take off all the rest. The color wasn't uniform throughout (pink nails yet a quarter of an inch looks pearl) and didn't maximize the space on the nail beds. My pedicure was good, not great (besides the paint job) for the $75 price either but I'm glad she gave me the lotion pack. People seem to love this place so I might take another chance on a pedicure, but I'm one & done with the manis. read more

Being my first time being there, the woman with long light brown hair and glasses was the one who did my pedicure and remove the nails i had. She left me soaking my fingers in acetone for 30+ minutes as she was working on my feet. She kept hurting me and even after i told her it's hurting, she still continued to hurt my big toe more and more. Then she goes ahead and says that she didn't cut me. Now let's talk about my fingers! After soaking it for 30+ minutes she had the audacity to hand me over the tool and told me to remove it cause she's working on my toes!!! Then the manager kept on coming to her and it felt like he was rushing her talking about her having another customer. In all common sense if you knew you had a customer that was coming why would you accept another customer so you can quickly rush them and make them take out their own nails even after you are paying them for the service!!??? Let's talk about how awkward this place was! First, I walk in and let the front desk guy know that I am interested in an eyebrow wax ($10) with Tim (he was recommended by a friend). He tells me he doesn't know who Tim is, which is fine, I'll get whoever then but I'm sure there used to be a guy here named Tim, he could have just said he no longer works there. Awk. Second, I am walked over to the back area expecting to be put in a room where waxing is always done however I was taken to a pedicure chair and was told rooms were full so we they will do it there. I honestly would not have minded waiting for a room to clear up to have my privacy. Also I've never had an eyebrow wax sitting up. I was not comfortable. Also the person to my left was getting an actual pedicure.. DOUBLE AWK. Third, because I was not in a room and they did not have all their work tools with them they had me walking back and forth to the restroom to see if there were any hairs missed during my wax. Of course, there's always some hairs left behind doesn't matter who does it it just happens so I made two-three trips to the restroom and at one point she just ended taking the remaining hairs in the restroom. TRIPLE THREAT AWK AF!! The only reason for two stars is because my eyebrows came out looking pretty good at the very end. I don't know if I'll be back but just some feedback for the business, if there's no room in the back you should give the customer the option to wait. I absolutely had a wonderful experience at this salon. I've been here a few times and I finally decided to take the plunge and post a review to show the amazing work that they have done on my nails. I have been told many times that I'm extremely picky (even though I don't mean to be) and I have to hand it to them, the shape and the structure of the acrylic looks beautiful. Would definitely recommend this place to my family, friends, and coworkers! PS - Please be prepared to pay extra for the designs or anything extra you may want. Unfortunately there was a customer who was adamant about not paying for her designs (even though she specifically requested for it) and made an unsightly commotion at the front. It's just okay.. I got a mani/pedi shellac and it was just okay. Leaving I realized the quality of the gel on my mani wasn't worth what I paid or what they charge. The paint job is splotchy and looks chewed just two days out. She ate away at my cuticles so bad I now have a infection on my middle finger. I was looking to try a new place. I got a full set color powder, as well as a pedicure. I was trying to pick a color and the ladies kept rushing me and asking me to hurry and pick a color. I got my pedicure and acrylics done at the same time. I told the employees I wanted to sit somewhere where my boyfriend could sit next to me, since he came with me. They sat me in a pedicure chair and made him sit across from me, and used the pedicure chair next to me for their tools when they could have easily used the storage container they had on the other side. It made the experience awkward because I couldn't even talk to my boyfriend without having to talk loud and disturb other guests. I had to ask the lady doing my nails to shape them multiple times because they looked round and I asked for coffin shape which shouldn't be round at all. She kept getting irritated so I just gave up. When it came time to pay, they charged me $5 extra for shape, when she didn't even do shape right or inform me it would be extra. They also charged me an extra $5 for length when they aren't considered long and they didn't inform me of this while I was getting them done. Bad communication, poor shaping, and way to expensive for the work done. These are the most round coffin shape nails I've ever seen. read more

They were completely empty on a Sunday..... if that tells you anything. The cheapest pedicure is $30 and should be only $20 considering it was 0 massage. They rubbed my leg with oil (like blending the oil in) for 5 minutes and that was my message. They used hot towels on my husband but not me. The paint job was awful. Literally just walked out of LUX Nail Spa and I am not happy at all. "Tracy" did my pedicure and she gave me the WORST pedicure I've ever had. While filing my toe nails, she also filed my skin. How lovely!! She also failed to shape my nail at all (which left sharp edges) and she BARELY cut my cuticle. When actually applying the polish, she applied WAY too much which will take probably 3+hrs to dry completely. She also smudged the polish a little but I was so ready to get out of there that I didn't say a thing. My only question for this nail salon is... How are you still in business? My dogs' nails look better than mine. 10 out of 10 will NOT be returning. This place sucks a big fat one. EDIT: It took about 10 mins for the polish to smudge (Due to the COPIOUS amount of nail polish that this, seemingly inexperienced, nail technician applied). I proceeded to take off all of the nail polish because there's no way I will be returning even to fix a mistake that they made. What a waste of $45. read more

When I walked in I had perfectly squared nails .. when I walked out I had several lipstick shaped nails, some rounded and only two squared.. assuming that was because she was rushing which caused her to rip off my skin with a file and caused me to bleed. I've been to serval nail spas and never have I been pinched or cut without an apology. At some point during the pedicure, the lady who was helping me was so distracted with giving me compliments that she kept hurting and smacking my ankles with hot rocks. My partners nails were suppose to be almond shaped but instead she received an inwards curb like a witches nose off of a movie and several were slanted and not straight. My nails use to be healthy and long and now they are damaged. So I gave up and went to someone else for my nails (which now are long and healthy and they last Way longer). But today I'm giving up. came to get a pedicure and even though I didn't make a reservation the front said this lady who had one hadn't shown up yet.
