I gave Luxe Nails several chances after starting there in August, but unfortunately this last experience was the final straw. I've never been to a nail salon that cuts so many corners when it comes to dip powder services. Proper dip application requires removing the old dip each visit, yet I was repeatedly told that if I chose a dark color, I would need a completely new set the next time. That simply doesn't align with standard dip nail practices. I was also surprised to be charged extra just to trim my nails -- something many salons include as part of basic service. Over time, the focus here seemed to be more about speed than quality. What truly ended it for me was my most recent visit. The technician did a very poor job on my nails, and instead of correcting the dip properly, the manager placed shellac polish on top of the dip powder as a quick fix. The polish began peeling the very same day. I walked out extremely disappointed and will not return. Luxe Nails -- quality, integrity, and professionalism matter far more than speed or cutting corners. Customers deserve better. She decided to use builder (BUTA) gel, and it burned my index finger and thumbnail so badly that I had to go to urgent care. I told her repeatedly that it was burning, and she ignored me. I am beyond angry and extremely disappointed. This was uncalled for, unprofessional, and honestly terrible service. I've been going to Luxe for years and their customer service has progressively gotten worse. My service is rushed, they are dismissive when you raise a concern, the skill levels of the techs are uneven and they schedule full staff meetings or staff parties in the middle of service hours. Mike is the only consistently good tech there. The rest are very hit or miss. I won't be returning and I will share this feedback with every friend I've recommended this place to. So I really had high hopes that this place could be my new go to nail shop. Both times I've came here, the service has been prompt. My visit Saturday for example- I arrived around 9:15 and was walking out the door with a refill and pedicure a little after 10 am. However, I do believe the quality suffers because of the haste and hurry to finish as many services as possible because of the demand. At 9am on a Saturday, each pedi bowl was almost being used as well as each mani station occupied too. I get it- but I work hard for my money and gas is not free, so to drive back less than a week later to have a nail fixed was a bummer. Mind you, the my shellac nail started peeling the next day. I had to until Tuesday to fix it because I don't live nearby and my job is even further out. Although they did fix the nail that was peeling without any issue,the nails overall after about a week juat look ashy. The polish at the tip of the nails is just not professional looking at all. Plus, under the nails-my nails aren't laid down smooth against the tip, which makes me have to dig and rinse my nails more to keep food and other substances from getting under the nails. Just some junky, janky,and jacked up nails. Nothing Luxe about that. I'm just glad I didn't tip. When I got to new shops now for the first time, I don' tip until I return because one day you have nails, and the next day you have nubs! read more

When the lady sat me down (mymy) she asked me if I wanted a design or French tip and when I said no she just kept on insisting. She proceeded to call me boring for now wanting any design on my nails. Twice, I've requested the same color on my toes and fingernails and come away with completely different colors. Fingers are gel and toes regular, but at other salons, they help match and tell you if it's not a match. Ask for help getting the colors close enough f you get what I get. The past couple of visits have been disapointing. Massages on pedicures are so basic, I always leave thinking I didnt even receive one. -Top clear coat of my powder dip nail color rubbed off of a few nails. I've been doing dip nails for many years, even before they were popular and this has never happened before. -I asked for a few glittery sprinkles to be applied to a couple of nails and was charged an additional amount for ombre nails. Again, I've had this done for years, in TX and many other states and had never been up-charged. Furthermore, I wasnt informed there would be an additional charge for the glitter sprinkles. Not to mention they are not ombre...it's solid white, with a few glitter sprinkles. -Also asked for cuticles to be trimmed and I had to trim them myself when I went home and saw they looked untouched. read more

I have been to this salon a total of 3 times, and each visit just progressively got worse & worse. The first time I came, everything was fine. That is why I had high hopes for this salon. It was near my home, the interior was beautiful, I loved the ambiance, and my pedicure went fine with no complaints. My second visit however, this is where I started losing interest. My technician noticed I was also Vietnamese, so we started talking about our lives. I love making small talk, it's very nice. However, mid-service, she started FaceTiming her grandchild. This completely bewildered me. I was not only shocked that techs could be on their phones during service, I was embarrassed because she was still servicing me, while having the FaceTime camera pointed in the direction of my feet & her. This last & final visit I had, this is what made me decide to never return. My technician, although sweet & kind, filed off my gel polish on my toes with her e-file. In normal practice at salons, it is best to file off the gel with a nail file, not the e-drill, as it thins out the natural nail significantly. The gel polish itself is also already pretty thin, that is why e-files work best with removing powder. Because my tech used this e-drill, my nails were so thin, I could feel the heat on my toes when they were drying in the UV lamp. That's never a good feeling. During the clean up process of my nails (i.e. cutting, trimming, and shaping of my toes) my technician cleaned off her cuticle nippers not with the towel, but with the water that I was still soaking my feet in. My 7 minute massage was more of a 5 minute massage on my left leg, and a 2 minute massage on my right. As I looked around the salon, the technician who was servicing another guest in front of me, made me finalize the thought that this would be my last visit. Instead of getting up to get water for his manicure bowl, in which he was to soak his client's hand's cuticles in. He opted to turn on the faucet for the pedicure tub beside him and get water from there. This was so questionable, even his client made a face of confusion. The only reason why I am still giving this place 2 stars is because their coffee is pretty good, and the salon interior is beautiful. However, that is all. read more

I miss the former management. I have visited twice since under new management and have decided never to return. You must be very careful what is written on your slip. During both visits they attempted to charge me for shellac despite me telling them I do not want shellac. I was charged $7 for extra length. I have never been charged for extra length. No one explained my length would be an extra charge. While checking in the guy behind the desk was impatient. Prices are round to the nearest dollar at checkout. A lady's face was swollen and red from the wax and she was complaining about the tech not being transparent about the charges. Mike the nail tech did a great job. However, when I went to put on my shoes, I had to shake the acrylic nail clippings out. I have never had to do that. I got a shellac mani & pedi and my niece got a full ombré set by another tech. You can order a mimosa, Bellini or a wine if you wish while you get your nails done. The nail tech rushed my nails. He refilled a nail that was already lifting instead of removing the overlay. In doing so, he cut my real nail and it started bleeding. I nearly jumped out the seat. He so called did 1st aid. My chrome polish was messed up on several nails. He had already exited the back door to leave because it was a few minutes short of closing. They had to call him back in to redo. He filed the nails and reapplied the chrome powder. This time he really left while I washed my hand not caring if I was satified. Upon returning, I'm even more disappointed even further because I was told that I would have to pay for them to repair the nail. The technicians name was Nathan. I've been to Luxe Nail Bar a few times just for some quick removals, and they have always done a great job of getting my old set off quickly and painlessly. However, I didn't have quite as seamless an experience last Sunday when I took my sister here for a double mani/pedi. My sister's mani/pedi went very smoothly! Lynn, who did her nails, was really sweet and calm and patient with my sister. My experience was a bit rougher. Kathy was my nail tech, and she was a tad rough with my hands, often digging her nails into my cuticles to force the nail tip to fit better. I often tensed my fingers up because of this, which was throwing her off her game. I tried my best to relax my fingers, but the more she worked on my nails, the more I tensed up. When she was using the e-file on my nails, she cut the cuticle on a few of my fingers; one of them was bleeding while the mani kept going. There's even chrome powder rubbed into the cuts which I haven't been able to wash off since the mani. Kathy was apologetic but also blamed me for the nicks, explaining how my tense fingers caused her to nick my cuticles. Now this could totally be a chicken & egg situation - was my tensing up causing Kathy to nick my cuticles, or was I tensing up because Kathy was nicking my cuticles? Who can say, but I've never had an issue with other nail salons I've been to or other nail techs who work on me. Kathy could see that I was visibly wincing while she was filing my nails, and often had to stop to wipe the blood. At the end of the mani, she told me "Don't complain about this to me; it was your fingers tensing up that caused me to nick you." I bit my tongue and held on through till checkout. I didn't want to make a fuss or cause a scene, so I just paid for the mani/pedi and left. My hands are still pretty sore from the manicure, and I end up covering my nails with bandaids anyways since the cuts are still bleeding. I want to emphasize that everyone was really nice at the salon, including Kathy, who did apologize. I just was not satisfied with my nails or the lack of care of my nails during the process. I've never had a painful manicure before last Sunday, and admittedly I'm hesitant to go back afterwards. TL;DR: Luxe Nail Bar is really friendly and conveniently located. The salon is clean and the staff is nice and accommodating. Your experience will differ depending on your nail tech; mine this time around was just unfortunately painful. First time here having pedicures, the Lady who serviced me was Rose, She was rough and quick. She hurt my cuticles and I was bleeding. This is my second time going and I got my nails done with Mary, very unprofessional. After showing her and telling her what I wanted she goes on and does whatever she wants. She had painted the whole nail when I said I wanted French tip, keep in mind it's shallac and she continues to put under the UV LIGHT. Now it's harder for her to take it off, and literally scrape my skin off ( she was trying to get the shallac off and so much force she could of be careful!!!!) With all this going on she was talking with Michelle and the other coworkers would look toward me, made me very uncomfortable and I realized they were talking about me. If you go DONT GO MY MARY! Or MITCHELL Also I didn't anything off my tab even tho she hurt me and I'm bleeding. In the picture You can see I'm bleeding from all scrape she did, all the others toes are like that too but this one blood came out, and when my toes touch a blankets or anything else it hurts like a burning sensation. I was so excited to get my nails done for the first time ever. Ever!! I went with my sister in law to just enjoy our day off and hang out. Upon entering, I loved the decor, vibrance and energy of the place! Cindy was at the front and she welcomed us warmly and helped me out clarifying the services as I told her I've never done this before. We didn't have an appointment but walk-ins were welcomed. About ten mins in, we were immediately seated and we had Tu and Kimmy do our mani and pedi. Kimmy worked on my nails. Kimmy noticed I had a sense of humour and she was making jokes with me the whole time which I liked and i told her it was my first time and to basically let me know what i for to do and will follow. My sister in law had Tu and he was a dream. He was so nice and had much precision and work with such decadence with her, I wish I had him do my nails. Kimmy, although nice, worked my nails too fast with no quality control and attention, which left me disappointed. She showed the timer for the foot massage but I never got it as she was still clipping my cuticles.... So disappointing to be honest. At the end, 4 of my nails were messed up and when I tried to address to her, she said not to worry and just quickly brushed me off. This is where TOMMY comes in and saves this review from being a 1 star! Tommy overheard and started telling me about how matte nails are but then he realized I was not content and asked to look at my nails. He realized my nails were not done properly and told me to sit and wait for another person to do them. That honestly made me so happy as I didn't want to have a bad experience doing my nails. Thank you Tommy for your understanding, compassion and quality of service. I ended up having Cindy redoing all my nails and the way that she worked on them just left me speechless. Her attention to details and quality of work just proves and shows that this place has the 4-5 star review! Thank you Cindy for redoing my nails. In a way i am happy that Kimmy didn't do a good quality since at the end I ended up just sticking to a glossy finish and not matte. Also, my toe nails weren't done well either but they will be covered so whatever, waste of money there. Basically, i will come back here because I was told the prices are competitive and well, and that bar area with the nice gentlemy that came around taking everyone's drink order, which the drink menu offers many options and complimentary! This will now be our go to spot for mani/pedi spoiling. Staff has great customer service and skill. The gal at the reception is efficient, dynamic and fun. The drinks were delicious and the gentleman serving them very personable. Tu was my technician and he was great with me. I hate filing and he accommodated me very nicely. He was gentle, precise, and gave a great leg massage. Every technician that my family had seemed equally enjoyable. We came as a group of four- in fact we had to drag our son and now he's hooked . I will bring my friend next week while she's here visiting from out of state. I texted her a private Yelp review and she now has a case of FOMO.
