Customer service! I recently started coming here about two months ago and initially have a good impression. However, I pay the significant amount for shellac French polish. I realize she (Vicki) use regular polish for the tip. On top of the shellac base coat within a week, it began chipping, which shouldn't have happened with shellac. I scheduled an appointment to have it corrected and arrived a little bit before my scheduled time I was first asked to come back nearly 2 hours later, but because I had an event, I explained the inconvenience and was then told to return in 30-45 minutes. After returning, I sat for about 20 minutes and the nail tech never acknowledged me nor did anyone check in or update me. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing and unprofessional. I will not be returning, but I hope management improves communication and service for future clients. read more

Nothing has changed here. This is what I get cheating on my nail tech who's was off today.. I go a time between getting my nails done, like 4-5 weeks, depending on my grow out. I wasn't going to write a review, but I got a good look at my nails and.. I am an almond shaped girlie so my grow out means you have a lot to work with once grown out. I asked for a cut down in almond shape and you mess that up is beyond me. But I noticed as she cut them down to the length I wanted they were all slanted to the right on my right hand. Like noticeably so, very crooked. When I brought it to her (Maria) attention, she told me the shape was fine and she would fix it once she added the acrylic. But she has shaped/ate so much of my length off while filing, there was no way she could have corrected it without changing the shape, completely.. my index, middle and ring finger all slanted to the right. My nails grow out of the bed straight, I was confused and annoyed and told her to just cut them down and now I have square round.. until these grow out.. Not sure why Tania, who was doing my toes got so upset with what was happening with my hands, she started rough handling my feet during my pedicure, so much I had to stop her and ask her if she was okay.. ironically, the color I chose the last time I went there and was disappointed is the exact same color I got today! I've been a loyal customer here for several years, but after my most recent visit, I will not be returning. I spent over 5 hours at the salon due to repeated mistakes on my pedicure. Despite multiple "fixes," my toenails were still the wrong shade. The toenails were slanted and the French tip was fat and sloppy. She kept saying there's no remedy because my toes are the issue. I may not have the perfect feet but I've never had an issue on pedicure up until today! Also, I had to help her trim my own toenails! She kept trimming them and leaving in stubby triangular angles. I left in tears because this is the weekend of my wedding, and it almost seems like they did the absolute worst they can. I went to get it fixed and it came out worse and topped with an injured toe. What's even worse is that I left in fear of now developing an infection. There is cut on one of my toes, that stings and they kept spraying some type of alcohol or acetone on it. Also the basic care like cuticle removal was completely skipped and even filing. This kind of neglect and poor service is unacceptable, especially for a longtime client. I'm extremely disappointed in how far the quality and attention to detail have fallen. This experience was frustrating, painful, and a complete waste of time. The manager tried to tell me no other salon will do what I ask for or know me like they do, as if I asked for too much to begin with? I simply asked for a French tip pedicure with pink base. She was trying to scare me that disputing this service will be against the law, and they don't do refunds lol. read more

The few times Rosie has been out of town and I've had to see someone else they do a great job. I've seen multiple different people for pedicures and they have all done amazing. Requested a pedicure. The lady at the front desk was kind. The nail technician had no customer service skills. She clipped my toenail causing pain, did very little during the callus remover and the "massage" was never timed. The callus remover service she provided was akin to a person taking a nail file and rubbing it across your foot. Then don't get me started on the "massage". She basically just slathered lotion on my legs and wiped it off. The polish was applied. She made several mistakes and had to clean up her mess. I would give her a 2 star for application. I'm big on service and the technicians skills and service were subpar. I will not be coming back. read more

This is my 3rd time getting my nails done. The first time my daughter went with me and it was Rosie, I was very pleased with my nails. The second time I got my nails in feet done at the same time. My nails grew very long and I was pleased because I have been having some medical problems and my nails would not grow. I turned my hands up to show the nail tech how long my nails had grew and requested that they not be cut, so she recommended that I use the powder. She didn't listen!! She moved fast, and I could not express to her that she had actually cut my nails all the way down, although she kept turning up my nails to look at the length which was an indication that she was just going through the motions to make me happy but she actually did what she wanted to do! I love coming to Tipsy's to get my toes done, and today I decided to get my nails done but unfortunately my experience wasn't the best. I came in for a simple french tip refill and provided pictures. It took 3 nail techs trying to accomplish this simple french tip look. I appreciate everyone's help but in the process the shape I had on my previous set was messed up and I wanted to keep my nails tapered square. One nail tech started slamming items and walked away to work on another client which is perfectly fine. After seeing that I wasn't going to leave with the set I had in mind, I politely asked to just pay for the base nude and my toes so that I could go somewhere else.I still payed & TIPPED. It's a day later and I'm still angry at what they did. My daughter, my niece & I went to get our nails done and when we went to check out the total was 178.00. My niece is 4 - nail and toe polish 14.00 I had a basic pedicure with shellac polish no extras 43.00 They charged me $67.00 for those two, $10.00 more than what it should've been. I also had a refill that was supposed to be $42.00, they charged $52.00 My daughter had a regular polish change on her toes for $7.00 & a full set with just white tips that's on their menu for 37.00 and what I asked for. They charged me 59.00 for my daughter's nails. When I brought it to the guy's attention he tells me they did pink & white solar on my daughter's nails because that's what's most popular!!! I said idc what's popular that's not what I asked for, you can't pick what YOU want to do because you don't know what I can afford. He only took 5.00 off!!!! I am not the type to ever post a review unless I'm genuinely unhappy. Got a pedicure on Saturday around 1. I always come here it's been a loyal & genuine place. I can say now i will not be back. After my shower that night whole big toe started peeling. Which i get shellac... second day my second toe is hurting i noticed the nail tech basically cut half the side of my toe off. OH & the big toe always started peeling all the paint off the top. I also got acrylic on my big toes to help them from not cracking. & the whole top of the toe is cracked. I also lost damn near my whole toe nail on my third toe. I'm so unhappy now that i have to wait WEEKS for this to all grow out. I will NEVER EVER be back here. EVER. I never make bad reviews but after giving this salon several tries, and being more than disappointed every single time. I've officially had it!! I thought maybe I'm not getting the right tech but no, every time Ive come here, I've left more upset than the time before. The tech I had today got mad when I asked her to cut my nails down shorter, was so aggressive after that request, rushing and cut me SEVERAL times due to rushing and being rough with me. She cut my skin so deep on one nail, it hurts so bad and if I get an infection I will be back to raise hell. I am extremely disappointed in the service. In todays economy, getting our nails done is a luxury and the last thing you want when spending the kind of money it cost to have your nails done is to be not only unhappy but dealt with in an aggressive and painful manner. I wish I could give negative stars honestly. Update: 3 hours later and it's already chipped. Affordable and clean. Always crowded though so try to go in the morning first thing on a Saturday or on an off day. The manager is excellent and remembers your name immediately when you walk through the door. The last time I went, though, my pedicurist was very rude to me. I asked for some wine and she gave me literally one swallow in a plastic cup. I saw that she filled the lady's glass next to me all the way to the top. I asked her if she could fill up the cup for me. She said, " You drink what you have, then I get you some more "- I had to flag someone else down 30 minutes later to bring me the wine. She did not like that I was asking other people to do what I had asked her to do before, so she began grumbling about me in Vietnamese. Even her strokes on my calves and feet were more violent, as I had clearly upset her by asking for some more . . I bumped my toe before it dried fully so she had to re-do one. Here we go again- she starts grumbling in Vietnamese to her coworkers. I don't know her name but when I was finished I told the excellent manager that she was very rude to me and he said I would never be paired with her again and apologized profusely. I have been coming here for at least 4-5 years now. The service is top tier, unless it's a busy busy day or holiday, so I try to come during slow hours. Honestly, there may have been a handful of times I wasn't too pleased, but nothing too major to make me stop coming. My pedis are always great with Veronica (I think that's her name). I recently started going to Windy for my full sets. I will continue to stick to both of them for services. Sometimes the designs, precision and lines can be a bit off with the other techs. I think that's unacceptable and unethical, writing this as a caution that the Salon intimidates reviewers from posting real experiences. I've been coming to Tipsy for over 6 years - and honestly every time I leave I ask my self why... Their sanitization is a huge massive concern - they use unsantized clipper, files, drills. They decide how much they want to charge you depending on NOTHING I've had explicitly bad experiences with how much they charge - as someone who gets their nails done every month I always used to get charged varying amount until I decided to say something. They couldn't figure out why they charged me $45 when my service is always always $35 then embarrassedly the front desk lady corrected the amount. They want to get you out of there with no concern for how your nails actually look - they don't give a shit and are unprofessional I've been treated like shit when asked to make my nails look a little more natural and less "gloopy" when I mentioned that my nails look like a literal drop of hot glue was on them I was told "that the curve of ur nail, if you wanted the dip thinner you should have told me a lot earlier". I've never once had to mention this before? -Kayla. My nail looked horrible which is why I asked. Unfortunately this usually how I always get treated except for the off chance I'm seated with Leena. UPDATE: i went to the doctor and I'm now on antibiotics to treat a bacterial infection. I used to go here for years but when i got my nails done last week and came back with 5 different nail infections on my left hand, i decided to never go back. I was out of state the week i got my nails done and couldn't fly home to inquire about my extremely painful nails. The day i got home i called the salon and let them know of the situation, and they said to come in. When i did get there the ladies insisted that the pain i was feeling was just pressure, and the pus that was leaking out was just water leaking from my cuticles from the acrylic being so close to my nail?? They also tried to tell me my fingers looked like this before i came, but why would i get my nails done if i had a nail infection ?? This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. Let's start with the fact that I was cut twice by the nail technician by the name of Tiffany. Tiffany was extremely rude, irrational, and not to mention she can't paint to save her own life! Usually I don't get upset over nails because nails can be redone and they grow over time. HOWEVER, I didn't like my experience at all today at tipsy. I have been here before years ago and I can recall it to be great. To start, we came here without an appointment and proceeded to wait for a while (more than 20 minI noticed some people getting seated before us but maybe they had a reservation. No biggie. I had said I wanted a manicure. I never got to see what package I wanted but maybe they assumed I wanted the basic one. When i was seated I had acrylics on and she used a tip to take them off. I have been to numerous others where they soak it and used the drill. Taking my acrylics off with a nail tip hurt really bad and she ripped some of my nails. I was really upset about that since I wanted to keep my natural nail length. She didn't even file my nails. And the polish to me looks very sloppy. The entire manicure felt super rushed and finished in less than 15 min. I'm upset since I have a major event to go to tomorrow and can't go anywhere else last minute. By far the worst experience I have ever had! I paid for a jelly pedicure which I did not have the opportunity to experience. For literally the first hour my feet were outside of the jelly/water. I kept asking her to soak my feet and she kept saying no. When I was finally to put my feet in the water it was for 5 minutes and then drained. Next the remainder was rushed. I received a massage with cold rocks and a cold towel. I spoke with a manager and she seemed very unconcerned. I even asked her to ask the techs working next to me which she didn't. She offered 10% off when in reality I feel like all I got was an expensive color change. My niece also got her nails done and instead of them changing the entire color they polished over her nude with white. This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. read more

I'll start off by saying my mom and I have gone to this salon for at least 10 years, if not more. For quite a while the management staff was somewhat welcoming. These past at least 6 months have been awful. We walk in and the owner now ignores us because we had spoken up to her about messing up my appointment scheduling. She doesn't like to be told that she was in the wrong and blames it on the customer. With that being said she won't even acknowledge us, look at us, speak to us , nothing. Then we see other customers come in and she's friendly and chatty. Quite interesting. Then the guy Jason that works up front as well.. welcomes everyone and gets them set up for their pedicure putting towels and covers on their pedi spas, gets them drinks, and sparks conversation with them . I asked if we could get towels and get set up for our pedicures while we wait for our techs and that I noticed him setting everyone else up but not us and he just says "oh I'm sorry". Per usual we wait 20-35+ minutes for our preferred ladies. If it was not for Vicky, Rosie, and Annie, we would NOT come here, but we are loyal to wonderful nail techs and they are amazing!!!!!! read more
