I arrived at 10:55 for an 11:00 am appt and was seated with my feet in the soaking tub and then WAITED a 1/2 hr for a tech to start my pedi. (Water was already cold). After the very nice job on the pedicure I was escorted to another station where I was expected to wait for another tech to do my gel nails, after 20 min. I left. Quality of pedicure was WONDERFUL however the service overall was terrible. They barely understand you when you speak to them and they overbook theirappointments. I had a great experience at this spa. I came late on a Saturday evening and got a pedicure with callous remover, gel on the toes, and regular OPI on my hands. Very clean spot with solid Covid precautions (masks on and up, wipes and sanitizer everywhere). Even though it was busy, my technician was slow, careful and Did an awesome job. Well, Jay is a nasty man! Jay saw me standing at the front desk, he did not ask if I needed assistance, what I was there for nothing he left the desk went to his work station and proceeded to do someone's nails. I had to go into the salon and ask for assistance. A young lady who was working on someone's nails got up and tried to assist me. she was unable to complete the transaction without Jays help. At which time, I told him he ignored me while I was standing at the desk. He agitatedly responded the he is very busy. I calmly stated, "maybe you need additional help." I also calmly told him minorities shouldn't treat other minorities like that. I say this because he acknowledged a women who was in front with me when I entered the establishment. Well, Jay took exception to my comment I guess he does not realize he's a minority. Jay began to berate me and put on a show. He was now standing between the waiting area and the salon. Jay yelled you are crazy, she is crazy. Who's crazy Jay? I wasn't yelling. I never raised my voice. No one other than you and I were aware of our conversation. I am sure customers thought this dude is having a meltdown. We are here to relax. Customers beware of Jay. He is unprofessional. Jay is an embarrassment to the establishment a stain on the reputation of the salon. I am an adult female who has been to nail salons in many cities and countries. Wow. I have never left a nail salon review, but left Luxe knowing that I owed them one. This is the best nail salon experience I've had in a long time- very clean, friendly staff, no waiting (after making an appointment) and absolutely excellent service. Wendy did an incredible job on my long neglected hands and feet (for real, they were bad). She was very patient with my twitching and my hideous callouses, then treated me to an anxiety melting neck and shoulder massage while my nails dried. And all of this for a very reasonable price. I was only in town for a visit, but I will contemplate more frequent weekend trips just to visit this place. read more

Made my wedding nail appointment. Called a few hours before to let them know that I had a spray tan and won't be able to soak my feet..."how do you expect to get a pedicure?" I think a decent nail tech would know that you can paint nails without soaking them first. Beware of the scorpion hand tattoo man. I went today for a manicure and pedicure for my upcoming engagement pictures. I chose a light pink color and they started me with a pedicure. The girl doing my pedicure did amazing (only reason I even gave 2 stars) but I noticed the pink was basically clear, it was my toes so I didn't really care. I waited for a bit then the scorpion man started on my fingernails. I asked him if I could change the pink because it was clear. He then applies it to his nail and yells at me "this is pink!"So I showed him a picture of pink nails on my phone and I said I want this pink. He then yells at me and points "pick color then!" Which is completely embarrassing and rude in a quiet room full of people. I went to the front to again look at a book of painted nails not knowing which to pick because I didn't want clear but I can't see the bottles to actually know how opaque the colors are. He gets impatient with me so I randomly choose. He barely filed my nails just painted them and gave me the worst karate chop massage ever. read more

Rather than soak off my gel Polish, the nail technician used an electric burr, which cut off several layers of my nail surface, that caused significant peeling and breaks. I have strong nails and never have had a problem with peeling. It has been months and it hasn't grown out yet and I'm still not able to get gel polish- that's how badly they are damaged. Made an appointment here for a spa pedicure even though walk-in was tolerated as well. Everyone wore masks and my technician was friendly and did a good job. The owners of Luxe Nails stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the ball park! I had an appointment and when I arrived they told me there had been a water main break out side of thier establishment and they had to close down till it was fixed. Update: reading the response from the business, it seems the focus is about the pride of the owner versus serving customers. I'm not sure how calling to say I'm going to be late or leaving to pick up my prescription, literally across the parking lot, is "disrespectful", nor is calling my husband since he was my ride. The point the owner is making is that to sit there was to demonstrate respect to him, by reading his mind that that was what he expected of me- because this was never communicated to me. I rated this place 3 stars because they overbook and you have to wait for over a half hour or more for your appointment. They give you a time and take your name but they don't write it down! I was told there were techs that didn't show up, but all 3 times I went there the same thing happened. However all the techs I had, I would rate a 5. They are all really good. BEWARE!!! If you have any physical limitations (knee or hip problems etc.) it is very difficult to get a pedicure at this salon. The pedicure stations are elevated off the floor, and you have to navigate a very narrow step with no rail, to step up and down, off the podium. This set up is dangerous for anyone, let alone someone with physical issues. Also, there are no spa pedicure chairs, they only have vinyl wing chairs, and the water basins have no jets etc. Basically, there is no spa experience at this place. Also, they overbook, and you get to soak your feet in cold water (no product) while you wait for the next available tech. I had an appointment, but that didn't seem to matter. Finally, after 25 minutes of soaking and observing, It didn't appear that they were using sanitized tools. I got up and left. Not one employee acknowledged me, and. had to walk through the entire salon to leave. Never going back. read more
