Mimi and her husband run this smaller location and they do enjoy giving quality experiences to their customers. The pedicure turned out pretty well. There were some communication issues that impacted my experience for my manicure and eyebrow waxing. My previous manicure, done at Ocean Nails in Fort Pierce, had the 2-tone "healthy nails" manicure with the powder dip and black tips. When I went into the shop the night before to make an appointment for Saturday (they are a smaller staffed shop and can't always answer the phone) - I asked Mimi if they were able to do the services I wanted: similar manicure w/power dip & black edge...pedicure, & eyebrow wax/dye - "we do everything" she said and I made the appointment. Mimi found that doing the manicure the way I requested was very challenging to do, with black tips. (Her method for doing the manicure was very different from that of the folks at Ocean Nails and also Escape Nails in St Lucie West). After she finished she told me that if I wanted them like this in the future that she didn't want to do them. I didn't notice until after I left how rough/not smooth my right thumb turned out. After she started on my eyebrow waxing, she told me that they didn't do the dye on eyebrows. "Why don't you do it yourself?" was what she said to me. (I thought but didn't say "Because you told me you would yesterday") I'm unsure what rating to give. I don't want to give a bad rating but I certainly can't give the best one. There are NO techs in this place! Just the owners, husband and wife. I only like my manicures and pedicures done by another woman. I am very old-fashioned and old school. I would book with Mimi, the wife and get shoved off to the husband without any warning or notice. What I didn't like is that when I would schedule only a pedicure with Mimi, I'd walk in for my appointment on time and Mimi would be taking care of another client and she basically just pawned me off to Walter and he never did a pedicure as well as she did. She was way more thorough and just a better pedicurist. IF I booked a combination manicure and pedicure, then I would ALWAYS get Mimi. Today, I was sick and couldn't make my 9:30 appointment. I wasn't too sure what time they opened, so I called at 9:00 a.m. and at 9:20 a.m. I couldn't leave a message as they don't have voice mail. I called the last and 3rd time at 9:45 a.m. I apologized to Walter about not being able to make my appointment. I explained how I wasn't sure when they opened but had called twice beforehand. He proceeded to get nasty with me and stated that I made him lose A LOT of business because someone called at 9:30 and he could have booked them since I couldn't come. I again apologized and suggested he contact the customer from Caller ID and try to book them. I then hung up. Maybe, IF they had VOICE MAIL, I could have called them the night before and let them know. Needless to say, I won't be going back there. There are plenty of nail salons in PSL where my money can be spent. read more

I love this place. I never got dip powder. The owner introduced me to this healthier way to do nails. I have been getting my nails done for 30 years. Nobody ever told me about the dip powder until this place. I love my nails they look great they look super natural and I'm so happy to have found a new place. First day open after being shut down, I was lucky I made an appointment. My appointment was for 1;30 and they were ready..... Everything had changed to keep all safe. The salon chairs were moved so you were not close to your neighbor getting a pedicure at the same time. The drying station also moved so you can not just start walking in. Rules do not apply to the management. Upon entering I was yelled at to put my mask on, which I did. After being told to sit and wait the manager was walking around with no mask on after just yelling at me. I asked him where is your mask and he said I don't have to wear a mask i am the manager and the fight was on. He started to yell and scream and all the other technicians got up and started to march towards me so I figured it was time to retreat. I would never ever patronize that place again!! read more

Horrible job on my nails was there for over 2 hours getting 2 gel manicures and the paint looks like shit there's lint and bubbles on several of my nails the sides aren't painted and then I ask for nail art and what I'm assuming was the "manager" did a heart design on my nail and it looked like a circle or like a children's sloppy painting, so I asked to take off and he proceeds to take off the design slap a top coat on shitty and now not thumb nails are missing polish have bubbles in them and just don't look good at all. Very nice staff but terrible with eyebrows. They messed up once but I decided to give another try since I'm new to PSL and needed something nearby... that was a mistake. I'm sure they probably do okay nails but don't go here if you want fleeky brows. Funny: the lady said my eyebrows were messed up when she started and asked where I last did them - I told her "here". Had an appointment today for a gel manicure. When I called yesterday I told the man that I cannot have the electric filer on my nails to get old gel off. He said okay we will file it off and then wrap them. I have an allergic reaction to them and that's why I asked. I am vacationing from NJ and my girl at home has never used one on me and I have never had an issue. They actually don't use them unless you have acrylics. Well all I can say is I was the only customer and this guys wife went to use that on me and I told her about my call. He yells he never told me that and they proceeded to tell me to leave. If I was home trust me I would have left with using some choice words. I allowed her to use it but I ask if she could do it lightly. She told me she was angry and they would lose there license if she didn't use it. Are you fricken kidding me. Her husband took over. I sat there for an hour getting a horrible manicure that spent I 45 dollars on and to boot still gave a 20 tip. I was humiliated in a nail salon with one customer when I got there besides me. I was then the only customer for the hour. My salon at home has at least 7 people working at all times and are always busy. It was one of the longest hours of my life and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I had the worst customer service experience. I called and made an appt and when I showed up for the appt they didn't have me on their books. The man then blamed me and told me I called the wrong place even though I showed him my recent calls and that I called their number. I even called the number again and it rang to the salon. He continued to tell me I was wrong. He argued with me and was very rude. Mistakes happen and he could of just made a simple apology but instead he was rude and told me I made the mistake and they don't have time to do my nails. As a former top 100 Salon owner, I'm pretty picky about where I go to get services. Generally I do my own dip, but needed to treat myself. Ended up at Luxe, and super happy I did! The place is not pretentious, we sang along to the contestants in America's Got Talent on TV! But it just felt like a good place! My nail dip removal, re-apply and pedicure were done simultaneously and when they told my my total, I had to ask if they were sure, because it didn't seem like it was enough. This nail place is the best I have ever been to. They keep the place extremely clean. The staff is all kind, helpful, and treat you like family. Prior to coming here, I would have my nails done, and before two weeks were up, I was losing and breaking nails. Now I go to Luxe Nails and they last 3 weeks. Pedicure is wonderful. They take time and massage your legs. Also you have the massage chair. Feel like a million dollars when you leave there. I never like to leave negative reviews because I know that satisfying all customers is impossible. However, my experience with this salon was absolutely horrendous. I started going there a few months ago to do healthy nails and pedis on a regular basis, more because of convenience (proximity) than the skills of the technicians. I figured with time they would finally be able to become accustomed to my preferences,ie. cleaning under the nails during pedicures which they never like to do. Well, 2 weeks ago I went for my usual service and the lady servicing me got upset at me because after I chose my nail color and was done with my "rushed" not so satisfying pedicure, she insisted that I wear a gel polish in my hands instead. And when I explained to her that unless the colors matched perfectly I was ok with wearing the regular nail polish (I was attending an event and needed the same color in both hands and toenails) she got furious and got off her chair, took the nail polish back to the shelf and screamed "you're too picky, go do your nails somewhere else, I am doing you a favor, etc.". I was in shock. I had never been treated so rudely in my entire life as a customer. Her husband the other technician kindly told me to wait and did my nails. My boyfriend send me here to get my nails done for Mom's days. He had to pay 40 1st to even make the appointment which was bullshit. Because the whole time the manager or the owner whoever he is was just writing done people name in his appointment book without even taking a payment. Now to then basic Math, I said before my bf had ready paid $40 to hold my appointment. I got the $25 foot pedicure and for my nails he said $40 for my nails. I said ok, I told him to let me know the told for everything. Now simply math people 40-25= $15 that covers my toes. The $15 is lifted over to go towards my nails $40-15=$25 and that was to cover my nails. This man charge me the fullest $40 for my nails and a $10 tip on top of that is $35 in tips. This is some bullshit. I will never go back. On the sides of my nails there is no powder, they don't do the sides of you'll nails, get the nails supplies and learn to do you'll own nails.
