Not only was it painful, but they didn't care! The worst part was that the salon didn't seem to take responsibility for the mistake. There was a couple of things the technician didn't do that I thought (after all these years) was part of the norm. But not her's. In the end my toe nails were cut and shaped nicely. The manicure was also OK. The cut and shaping was OK. I think more effort could have gone into making sure the length among all nails was equal and that they were well shaped. I opted for no polish and short nails - this is how I roll w/ my fingernails. I did request a buffed shine. And after two attempts to get a descent shine, the technician was finally able to find the proper tool. I appreciated her persistence to deliver. If you're looking for a place to truly relax and enjoy not just the services, but also the environment, I don't think this is it. I did the luxury pedicure; It felt very rushed and NOT worth the money I paid. My toe nails truly looked horrible. She filed my toe nails down so much that it caused it to bleed and hurt. My toe nails have been extremely painful and flimsy since. Once applying gel polish (I wanted French tips) she filed off my pinky toe, which she fixed. In the process it started to come off my nail on the other side and she proceeded to CUT my nail further and not fix the polish that started to come off while I was getting it done. The gel polish did NOT last and the polish came off 3 days later. The cuticle on my big toe is cut and my nail has blood underneath it. I'm not one to usually complain but this was pretty bad. My best friend heard about this place from a Facebook page and said the 'Nail Daddy' always does a good job. So we went to check it out. Went in there, things were chaotic, with only 2 people working, and was asked to come back in an hour, when more staff would be there. Fine. No problem. This was about 1:30. We came back but 2:30 and was then asked to sit down, they will be with us shortly. Almost an hour later, a male employee brought my best friend into a room, then finally 20 min later, I was brought into a different room for a pedi. To say this place was unprofessional, doesn't even cover it. The room wasn't even completed, there was no molding on the bottom of the walls, just unpainted drywall and holes in the walls. All of the employees found it acceptable to vape in front of customers and you could tell they were probably all family or really close friends. Then the lady did my pedicure, and then she told me I had horrible calluses and would need extra treatment, I agreed, but shortly after, my right foot began to hurt and she pointed at a sore and claimed I already had a sore. I DID NOT. She rubbed them so hard, I now have an open sore on my heel and it's very painful. Then, the male employee did my manicure, and he was very nice and seemed confident in the design choice I made. I feel like an amateur could do about the same job, when this man claimed to have been doing nails for 6 years. And then came time to pay. I was charged $200 for both mani and pedi!!!!!
