This was my first time going to this salon. Overall their customer service was excellent and the lady who did my nails was super friendly. The ambiance of the salon was beautiful and well put together but unfortunately the work I had done was very disappointing. I went in for a simple mani & pedi with gel. The work I had done was completely messy around the cuticles and the gel polish was applied way too thick. I am NOT happy with the way she shaped my toenails at all. She rounded out my toenails and made the length uneven, not sure why when my nails naturally grow straight. This made me the MOST upset because I feel that my toenail shape looked prettier before I went in for the pedicure. I was told over the phone when I scheduled the appointment that I would be getting a 10% discount for being a "First Time Customer" and my total would be $122.15. That discount was NOT applied and my total came out to $135. I did leave a tip of $15 only because the customer service wasn't the issue, it was more so the actual work being done. Overall I paid an outrageous amount of $150 for a very disappointing and unsatisfying mani and pedi. **UPDATE** The salon did contact me the next day and offered to have my nails re-done with a different nail tech. Also gave me a $25 gift card as a reimbursement for the 10% off they forgot to give me the first session. They apologized and took accountability for their mistakes. Alma did a great jib on my daughter's hair. For some reason she had her heart set on braids (she has straight, fine hair) & I don't know anything about these types of hairstyles. I would say 100% better, but because of all the black, I need to wait for it to grow out. I am still very close to just shaving my head and starting over. Since the stylist I've been seeing since 2018 is leaving, I decided to give Luxe a try and I wasn't disappointed. I've seen Shea the last two times and she's very personable, listens to what I want/need, and does a great job. The chairs at the sinks are the most comfortable I've ever been in when getting my hair rinsed and shampooed. I Am in love! I've always hated getting haircuts the whole Trusting another Person with your hair is overwhelming. Last time I had a haircut was about a little over a year so I really was over due for a Change. Everyone was so Inviting, The owner Wade was so Nice offered us some Diet Dr.Pepper (mini Dr. Pepper) and Diet Water(Baby water bottles) made us laugh. I've been here 4 times and every time I return I see a new stylist, because the business can not retain their employees. It's sad as I've been very pleased with the cuts and color, but having to discuss hair styles and wants to someone new each time is a pain. Furthermore, I can't help but think they must treat their talent poorly to have such a huge turn over rate. Also, the girls who work the front desk are pleasant, but not skilled at their jobs and always seem to be new and trying to learn. One could not even figure out how I could pay with a credit card and tip so I was forced to find an ATM and then return to the salon . Another once argued with me insisting I saw a stylist at least twice when I've never seen anyone more than once for service. It's just poorly managed. read more

The first time I went to this salon everything was great BUT unfortunately they have an insane amount of turnover (none of the employees from my first visit were still employed there when I returned for my second visit). My second visit went drastically different than my first. I saw 2 different hairstylists who couldn't do a basic all over color, a color I've been getting for many years. After getting my color completely wrong a different stylist tried to fix it and it looked awful. I went to a different salon and my color is gorgeous again. If you need color stay far away from luxe unless you want to deal with having to spend hundreds on color correction. Not only that, but the owner will assure you that your membership is cancelled and there will not be any additional charges but there will so watch your account closely because they lie. I have proof of cancellation in writing so I trusted them to actually not continue to change me for a useless membership, my mistake! Supposedly the owner is reversing the charge, if not I'll dispute it but I shouldn't have to continue to deal with this. Absolutely terrible, too bad you can't give 0 stars. read more

I scheduled an appointment online for a haircut and style. When I walked into my 9am appointment, they informed me that they "didn't assign me a stylist" even though my confirmation email and multiple text messages confirmed it was with Addington. She said no one is available until 2pm and I could come back later. I would have expected a phone call the day prior if there was an issue with my appointment, not wait until I drive all the way there to find out it's cancelled. And my appointment was as a "new client". But I won't be a returning client, that's for sure. read more

After getting my haircut last week the owner Wade offered me a free service of my choosing ( very nice man) so I chose to get a massage. Karalee turned my knots and tightness into a relaxed state of mind. Working over my whole body massaging out the tension. I'm going to have to work this into my well being cause there's nothing better then feeling the stress leaving your body. I highly recommend Karalee to work out those knots. I used Luxe for several years from 2014 to 2022. I had the same hair stylist and the service was great. The place was always busy. Because of scheduling conflict I tried another place for about a year. A few months ago I came back to Luxe to find a very different salon, and not in a good way. The place is always empty. The professionals are different. The service is not the same. This last Friday, which was my birthday, I had made an appointment with Shea (who was the third stylist I had tried there) for color and cut. What a surprise when I got to my appointment to be told I was seeing Dani and not Shea. I told the front desk my appointment was with Shea and not Dani, and they told me Shea was out sick. Nobody called me to let me know of the change. Manager comes out saying I had not requested Shea specifically. When I called to make my appointment I asked specifically for Shea. Manager said they work on commission and will move your appointment to someone else if stylist is unavailable without notifying client. I was not happy. I really needed the color so I kept my appointment. Dani was not personable at all. She did my color and while washing my hair never asked if water temperature was okay, got quite a bit of water in my ear and did not apologize for it. Back at her station I showed her a picture of a haircut, and she said we could do it. It was a cut a little shorter than mine and with more texture on the ends. She cut my hair in less than 5 minutes, and I am not exaggerating here. She did not touch my bangs at all, and my hair is probably about 3" shorter than what she showed me on my body. I am afraid of washing my hair and looking at it. Right now it is styled so it looks fine. While getting my hair done I was able to witness the manager cutting this teenager boy hair. He had long and untamed hair. She was chopping it, and I knew he was not going to be happy with the result. I have boys with long hair. I watched the whole process. Once she was done I could hear her apologizing to the boy for the end result. She was sorry they were not on the same page there. Two unhappy customers!! I would not recommend this place at all anymore. Earlier this morning I posted this review about my visit to this business. Later I got these threatening text messages from their manager. I did not lie on my review and I did not make any comments about her stylist Shea. I am a manager to and I deal with customers daily. This is not the type of management anyone wants for their business. I had to block her name from my phone so I would stop receiving her harassing messages. read more

I started going to this salon a few years ago and had a great experience with a colorist Cynthia. Two haircuts ago, unfortunately my there was red dye in my blonde hair. Cynthia was quick to try to get this out of my hair and was unsuccessful to get rid of all of it, she promptly made a new appointment and had me all fixed up the next Saturday. I had no issues with this because everybody makes mistakes I went to book my next appointment few months later and I had to book with a new person because Cynthia had taken a job elsewhere , I made an appointment with a stylist to balayage and cut. I chose a level three stylist with a level three colorist as well. The morning of my appointment I was called and informed that my hairstylist was not able to do my hair and that someone else would be doing my hair , I got my hair done. Immediately. Noticed the hairstylist I was placed with was not a level three and very inexperienced. She often needed support from another colleague and bleached my blonde hair and gave me basically a bowl shaped color on top of my head that did not fade into my natural colors , her and another stylist recognize this and try to remedy the situation unfortunately 5 1/2 hours later this was unsuccessful. I went to check out and I received a bill of over $300 plus tip making my amount for my haircut $400. This was the most I've ever paid for a haircut and color , I was unable to speak with the owner or manager. I called back the next week and was given a managers number to call. I called the managers number. Left a voicemail and never heard anything back. I called back a few weeks later to speak to the owner and the manager I was given the same number called back again. Left another voicemail with no call back Called and spoke to another receptionist and explained my situation for the third time and she informed me that the manager had left the salon a few weeks prior. I asked to speak to the owner once again and was told that he was aware of the situation and that he was texting her. He then informed her to pay me $50 because I was overcharged for my service. At this point, I shared with the salon receptionist that I was not interested in coming back to get my hair fixed because this would now be the second time that my color was messed up first time unintentionally second time inexperienced and then I didn't feel comfortable going another five hours to fix my hair at a place that had already failed twice. I told her I was not in the business of getting anyone in trouble because I know that they put that person that cut my hair in a very difficult situation with limited experience. All I was looking for was a refund for my color and cut, I was told that they did not issue refunds and not because I was over serviced I would be given my $50 back at this point I shared with them that I will be writing a complaint to let people know that this happened multiple times and I never received a call from the owner or a manager to help rectify the situation as a leader myself, I am very disappointed with the way the salon and business handled my situation. I have spent additional money on toner trying to get the yellow gold back to Icy blonde. I still have a large chunk of blonde gold resting on the top of my hair line. Because I did not want to fry my hair I have been left with no choice, but to leave it until I can find another solution and salon. In all, I am simply trying to spread the word that this salon did nothing to help my situation and cowardly did not respond to my request to refund my money of $400 on the worst haircut and color I have ever received in my life. I am a first time guest at Luxe Salon! Looking in the Gilbert for a new salon and the first thing that caught my attention was it's Veteran owed and as being a veteran I like to support! I made an appt and I was impressed the moment I walked in-being greeted right away and after checking in with the front desk I started chatting with an employee named Wade who took lots of pride in the cleanliness of the salon, which is very impressive to me. My appointment was with Michelle and she was so amazing! From greeting me with a smile and bringing me back to her chair-offering complimentary beverages and color options for my nails. She took great care of my nails and I'm very happy with the gel manicure service she provided! Overall, I'm happy with Luxe Salon and will definitely be returning! If I could put zero stars I would I called made an appt with someone they told me was good with short hair and I wanted this kind of short blunt hair cut and ended up looking like Velma from scooby doo and the front office staff when I arrived were super rude there were two of them and one was like I'm going to walk away so that right made me think hmm not that friendly then I'm getting my hair done and she knew she messed it up and called over another girl and was like hmmm seems I can't make you happy (as I'm balling my eyes out in the chair) because the other lady messed up my hair and I walked out because why should I have to pay for a service I am unhappy about! Later get a text saying if you don't pay a police report is being filed so I go to try to pay and the girl from the text says I'm busy you can't pay lol but we will file the report anyways. lol I hope she does because I did pay and I want my money back I hate my hair cut and you should fire the lady who did my hair I will not be back and I will tell everyone to stay far far away from this salon read more

As a former cosmetologist, I am SUPER picky about my hair color and products I use. I have been going to Jessica to get my hair colored for more than two years!! She is able to do blondes that do NOT look brassy and keeps my hair healthy (My hair wants to go brassy, I am amazed she can counter). She uses the Goldwell color product, which is my favorite. If you've been using other products, or heaven forbid grocery store color, and need your hair fix, she can work miracles and get you back to beautiful hair. I have referred friends to her that needed a good stylist and now they won't see anyone else. If you want a natural-looking blonde or any color, I highly recommend Jessica! My favorite nail lady Allison moved to Luxe Salon about a year ago and I followed her here. I've never been happier with my nails and I've got Allison to thank! She is very talented and always takes care of me. I've never received any services outside of manis and pedis, although I'm considering getting a facial sometime soon. Allison works wonders and continually impresses me with the quality of her work. She is thorough and somewhat of a perfectionist, ensuring I always leave with a great mani. I prefer gel manicures in solid colors, although sometimes I will go "wild" and add glitter or foil designs. Allison doesn't really do hand-painted art like flowers, which I think is a plus because most often these designs are tacky. She sticks to classier simple designs. The salon itself is super posh and upscale. It exceeds the overall feel of San Tan mall, which is saying a lot because the mall is quite nice. The lobby has a relaxing waterfall feature. Complementary water, soda and coffee for all patrons. Sometimes there are cookies or candies in the lobby. I don't know about other services, but the front desk always calls to confirm my nail appointments a day or two in advance. I really appreciate that! The nail room is separated from the hair stations. There are three manicure stations and three pedicure stations. The pedicure area is a comfy bench with pillows, but sadly does not have any massage features. I went to this studio to get my haircut a year ago for the first time- the owner was there, it was bustling with people and I had a pleasant experience. I went back today a year later during a weekday. I walked in and was the only guest there, and my stylist was the only other person who emerged from the back after a few moments. The haircut started with my wash in which I was informed the water heater was broken so I had ice cold water the whole time. Additionally, normally the stylist 'lifts' your head a bit to get the underside of your head and that wasn't done, so I know the back of my head didn't get washed. When we discussed the trim length, I was nervous about too much being cut off and she stated, "if I cut too much just leave me a bad review!" Very casually. The haircut was a bit awkward and something felt off. I glanced at the counter under the mirror and saw her license was dated as issues just a few months ago- so "newness" is probably what it was, and it was just not what I expected. Finally another worker showed up to be front desk and the two of them chatted about being the only ones there and being shocked about it/potentially closing early. Finally, when I went to pay, I was told "$85"- which sucks it went up from $78 normal price last year. To top it off, their card reader wasn't working. If you're not going to resolve this I will attempt to get a resolution with my credit card company. During my appointment it appeared Michelle was the only tech and I made the appointment with you for dipping the previous day! You STATED she could provide DIPPING! I asked if you took credit cards and there was NO MENTION of a $10 Fee! This is obviously false advertising. I had mentioned that I had not found a salon since moving to AZ. Your Yelp page mentions 15% off for new clients which was not provided either. I have only written 6 reviews and never for a salon previously since I had never had such bad service. read more

My daughter went in asking for a long shag and an all-over brown without red. She ended up with a horribly uneven bob with strong under tones. I've been going here for a while now, it's been quite some time since I've been back to get my hair done by Miss Danielle , I booked the appointment about two months ago because I know she is super busy, and good at what she does. Then I get a call Thursday night telling me that she was not going to be able to do my hair on Saturday because what I needed done would take too long, when when I made the appointment I made it clear on what I was needing to get done and I have a reception to go to on Sunday, then all the excuses in the world from the receptionist, but yet nobody was willing to actually fix it, so I told them I would call them back just needed time to think about what I could do in the time that she had so I looked nice for the reception. Friday I go to work at 5 AM at around 1 pm I see a text saying that my appointment has been canceled for Saturday, I did not cancel this, so I called and the lady I spoke to the receptionist said I tried calling you a couple times today and you didn't get back to me, I replied back I've been at work since 5 AM, she went silent, well now that appointments been filled she tells me. I don't think I have ever been so upset over the way I was treated and for Danielle not even to call me herself and fix us, this used to be an amazing place to go but unfortunately they have the worst customer service and their quality has truly gone downhill, Danielle is a manager and I don't know why she is letting this happen, I hope the owners find somebody different in her place to manage this place before it falls completely apart, I don't know why she is letting things go it used to be ran so beautifully back there and their quality was amazing, now within a year it is truly sad to see what was once a great establishment go downhill so quickly read more

I tried to resolve my issues with the color i received but no one will return my calls or my emails! I went in to a Level 5 stylist for the sole purpose of not having issues and issues are what i got. I pretty much received the opposite of what i wanted. I even had pictures so there was no miscommunication of the color. I wanted dark brown with light brown chunky highlights and i got more of a medium brown with BRASSY Blonde highlights that were very fine. I made it clear that I do not want any blonde or brassy highlights and that is exactly what i received. after paying $340 dollars I am distressed over the fact that i have brass all around my face so i went to walgreens and had to buy hair color to cover up the mess. I am so disappointed that no one will even return my calls to address this. BEWARE!!!! read more
