I went in for a mani and pedi. Paid for the luxury pedi got half a stone massage, never touched my heels even after I pointed it out, including the lotion. Nope! Not going to touch my heels. I had removed the gel from my nails and clip and shaped them the night before. I told her this. She still went after my natural nails like they were acrylics with the coarsest emery board she had. Cut my cuticles where they wouldn't stop bleeding. Didn't apologize until I said I was done. Then she tried to charge me for the pedi AND half the mani. She did finally agree I would only pay for the pedicure. read more

This is not a great review but I share the blame. I went in for an eyebrow wax. The gal swooped me in a chair and had wax on my face in seconds. This is where it's my fault. I should have stopped her and told her what I wanted specifically. Then again, she should have asked how much I wanted off. My brown are very thin (for me) uneven and a small patch is missing altogether. It doesn't look horrible or anything but definitely not what I wanted. You can always take more off - but you can't put it back! I will NEVER go back. The Good - quick and cheap and polite The Bad - she assumed she knew best and did what she wanted and the place is really dingy and dirty/old looking My responsibility in this is that I didn't speak up for myself. If I had, the experience would have been better. Also, at first glance I thought they were okay, and I told her that and tipped her well. Had a face wax, my daughter and I both had pedicures and Alex did my hair. She ripped my face off. Brutal waxing...the pedicures are horrendous, if you want callous removal, she Will barely run a cheese grater over your foot, the polish looked like an 8 year old had done it. Guessing because as soon as she was done, she grabbed her purse and ran out the door. Alex does ok, if you are ok with ok. This is the place for you. It was like throwing 100s of dollars out the window. And the place is filthy! Seriously filthy...empty McDonald's wrappers on the stations, seriously needs a good cleaning. read more

They don't even deserve a one star. I went to get my acrylics removed. Such a painful experience, the lady did my nails terribly. After doing my research on this place I found out she's didn't have a cosmetology license. The way she removed them was very unprofessional with just a fake nail. read more

Terrible and unprofessional. I got my hair dyed here after reading only good reviews on yelp. I don't understand how I am the only client on yelp complaining... While Alex was dying my hair, he spilled drops of hair dye and chemicals all over my clothes, face, and arms. After I told him this, he took a dirty rag and cleaned it off of me... not very professional. I realized he never covered my entire body with one of those robes that salons usually put on you when they dye or cut your hair. WhenI finally got out of the salon and back home, I noticed the back of my sweater was completely stained with the hair dye!! On top of it all, my hair is unevenly dyed and looks unhealthy. I would not recommend this place to anyone, it's not even cheap. read more

Just wanted to say how pleased I am with Alex and his salon at ocotillo. He cut both my hair and my mother's and did a superb job on both. Alex is very courteous and really listens to how you want your hair to look. His salon is spotless and nicely decorated. I haven't had my nails done, but I have been told the technician there is great. I highly recommend Alex for an excellent and professional haircut and style. And though I don't color my hair, I have no doubt he does top-notch work in that line as well. We will be repeat customers. read more

My mom, my sister, and I are regulars. Everyone is eager to please and they do an amazing job for the price. The only thing is that we wish they specify how much certain things cost when added to pedicures, because sometimes we unexpectedly find extra charges. Otherwise, a really nice place! read more

I had a terrible experience, and was not satisfied at all. The whole time, Alex's coworker- a young lady- kept telling me to give great reviews on Yelp so that they could get more business. Then, when Alex finally greeted me, he asked if I had a picture. I showed him the picture of the girl with platinum/blonde ombre that he dyed (the picture is on yelp). He said ok and got to it. Without my consent, the woman started taking pictures of me, which totally put me off. When it came time to blowing out my hair, Alex asked if I wanted straight or curly. Just like the picture, I said I wanted it straight, and a LITTLE curled on the end. He proceeded to curl my entire head of hair so that he could "get a good picture for Yelp". After finishing, he asked if I liked the color. I said I thought it was going to be a brighter, whiter blonde like the picture, and he went on to tell me that my hair color is too dark to come out that white with just a blonde dye. He said I should have specified I wanted white/silver. I showed him a picture and he should have told me that was not possible in the beginning. Long story short, I will not go here again, and do NOT recommend. read more

Alex is so great. He is not only very nice but he does his job right. My little brother goes to him all the time. We live out in Mesa and it is kind of a drive from where we live but he won't go anywhere else but here. Very professional and kind to all customers. read more

I stumbled upon this salon today when i was looking for someone to do my hair 10 minutes from my call. Alex tried to schedule me for tomorrow, and I am pretty sure he gave up his lunch to have me in, but within 10 minutes, I was getting my hair did. :) as a bonus, alex must have noticed i was in serious need of a manicure, so i got that too. The girl put on tips but used sns rather than acrylic, which i am super pleased with. Overall, these 2 are friendly, clearly hard working, and did a great job with my hair and my nails. I felt really comfortable really quickly and will return in 3 weeks to get my nails done again. Its not the fanciest salon in chandler, and for me, its exactly what i was looking for. read more
