I went to this salon a couple of months ago to get my hair colored. The stylist DID NOT listen to what I said I wanted. I told her I wanted a dark brown to match my roots, but to NOT use a lot of red in the color because my natural hair has red in it and it will come out a different color than I want. She did not listen, and sure enough my hair came out PURPLE and not BROWN. I went back last week for a hair cut, thinking that I would give them another chance. Unknowingly I got scheduled for the SAME stylist that ruined my hair with color. I had showed her pictures of the length I wanted and even pointed with my hands where to make sure I got the length I wanted. I told her no shorter than where my bra strap rested. SHE CUT IT OFF TO THE TOP OF MY SHOULDER! Not even close to what I wanted. Now I have a hair cut much shorter than I wanted, and am very UNSATISFIED with this company. I went to Luxe and saw Luke. He completely fixed the issue I had with the previous stylist and I just love it! I went back again on Sunday (yes-nice convenient weekend hours!) and Luke did an all over color and I've had so many compliments on it. If I could give this place a negative number I would. Talk about THIN SKIN!!! I didn't like the service I got from one hairdresser and they banned me from the Salon. If you can't take a complaint then you are in the WRONG BUSINESS. You are in a service business, it goes with the territory. Grow up! The stylists REALLY don't know what they are doing. Fantastic place! My stylist was professional, quick and did a wonderful coloring job and blow out. For my special day, she styled my hair in a totally different way and I got so many compliments. I've used Luxe for a few years now. I loved the service however for the last few appointments I've had some issues. The popular stylists are hard to book so you have to do it weeks in advance. I love my stylist but she's been out for a few of my appointments. I understand because everyone gets sick, however they try to make an appointment with the same stylist but she's booked for weeks. So, that doesn't seem fair. They should move around her appointments to make up the ones she's missed first and then add the others to another date. I come in for missed appointment and the stylist comes to me and tells me she doesn't cut short hair. WHAT??? Come on, really. The manager said we didn't know you had short hair. How would they if they never asked? I have never been asked what type of hair I had at this salon. Very disappointed. Maybe they need to change their cancellation policies if the stylist cancels. I was in town for a wedding and decided to try this place out for a blow dry and style. I was pleasantly surprised by it! I had Sara, as my stylist and she did a wonderful job on my hair. She was quick but, productive. I have long hair and she was able to accommodate the style I was asking for. The price is outstanding. I would recommend! I started going to Luxe Salon & Spa to follow Joanna. I have been getting my haircut by her for about a year now. When she told me she was switching to a new salon I immediately followed. She is amazing! I have never received a bad haircut from her. My friends and family are always commenting on how great my hair cuts look. I have learned from experience that you get what you pay for. I am very picky about my bangs and no one was ever able to get them right, but Joanna does. She is so sweet. She loves to talk, and goes out of her way to really get to know her clients. Terrible, horrible experience. I went in for my subtle ombre appointment, showing her pictures of what I desired. Yeah, it was not subtle. I am a dark ashy blonde or light brown, and the stylist took me to a bright blonde at my ends. Not to mention how horrible the blending was. It was uneven, And there were spots and streaks EVERYWHERE. It looked like I tried to do this at home. I came home and there were tears. I went back up to the salon to try and get a refund, but she wanted to try and fix it. I will say she was very friendly and was concerned about having me leave the salon happy, but that was not the case. She did not style my hair or even dry it all the way after attempting to fix it, so once again when I got home and actually styled my hair, I could see all of the flaws. I was so unhappy, I had my hair died back to its natural color just a couple days later.. By a different salon! I will not ever be going back.. read more

I have been going to Luxe for about a year, I usually have pretty good service. Today I had an appointment for a trim and all over color under the impression it would be $123 for total cost with a beautiful color and cut. I left today spending $173 with damp, half curled semi frizzy hair. I have gotten this same service and never paid this much or was told one price then have to more at the register. $50 more than expected for a service where I was not completely satisfied. I decided to book an appointment for an eyebrow and upper lip wax since we were heading to San Tan Village to do some shopping, and Luxe happened to be conveniently located. Upon arrival, check in was fairly pleasant and my estetician (Christa I believe was her name) was prompt. I headed to the bathroom then quickly got settled into a room. The estetician started to wax my eyebrows, stopping quite frequently to show me a mirror and ask if I wanted extra little hairs taken off as well. She continued to finish up my eyebrows, in the mean time striking up conversation with me. She had mentioned to me that she had been an estetician for 11 years. During the whole duration of the waxing, she seemed very much in a hurry to get me done and out the door. She had finished my brows and said ok to be done, but she was forgetting to do my upper lip, so I mentioned something. She then proceedes to wax my upper lip, and I notice it was quite hot. I also noticed she didn't put and barrier cream on. Prep goes a long way! I'd know, from being in the Cosmetology field! I worked as waxologist, as well as worked at a world class resort spa. She gets through and I head to the front desk and pay. After I left I noticed a very intense stinging feeling. I figured it was still just sensitive from being waxed. I continue shopping, and then head home. When I had arrived home, I went to the restroom and checked out my face in the mirror. I noticed some smaller lacerations under my eyebrows and then some bigger ones all along my upper lip. It was starting to hurt very badly. I had realized that because the esty didn't put barrier cream on and had the pot of wax too hot, she had lifted my skin off. So, because of this, I will not be going back! read more

I went here and paid way too much for a color and trim, the color alone didn't look any different then when I walked in and the cut was supposed to me a few inches off ended up one being 1 inch. My daughter and I were given gift cards for a mom/daughter pedicure May 2017. Since then I have been trying to schedule an appointment for us both. Since their nail techs only work on Saturday getting an appointment has been impossible. I've even asked if she could get hers, and I'll wait until she's done and I'll get mine, they booked us for that an appointment only to call and tell me they had to cancel. So, last month I finally got us an appointment scheduled for this Saturday. We've been looking forward to finally get our appointment, and to use the 50.00 gift cards each of us received. I just got a call, and one of their nail techs quit so they would have to cancel one of our appointments. Not only that their one nail tech who only works on Saturday is booked up until October, and they don't know when they'll get another nail tech. The gift cards are only good for two years she tells me, but I'm sure we'll have someone hired by then. It's not the pedicure that's important, it's the mom/daughter time that was given to us as a gift. Seriously, 15 months later, and they still can't get us booked? My suggestion; don't buy a gift card from this business, and definitely don't plan a special together time at this business. read more

I'm giving them 2 stars because of the front desk girl. It was my first time here and she made no eye contact, didn't offer me anything to drink, and I had to ask her where I should wait. That started off the experience with a bad taste in my mouth. I then was picked up by Amanda who is EXTREMELY FRIENDLY & TALENTED. I loved my dermaplaning experience with her. I went to Luxe for the second time for an express facial and 1 hour message. It is a beautiful salon. The facial was the best I have ever received. I cannot say the same for the message. I hate to do this since this is not like me to write anything negative like this but I have never had a message quite like this. The technique was different and 10 minutes into it I had to ask what she was doing since I was there for a regular Swedish message. It may have been inexperience, but it was not comfortable at all and I would never have expected a treatment like it from such a high end salon. I will, however still go back, but make sure not to have this particular therapist. read more
