Unfortunately, it doesn't have the same feel/vibe as it used to. I recently went just because I wanted to jam out to a few songs. We went around 8pm on a Tuesday and this place was dead. We were literally the only folks there. I mean it is a weekday but still I was surprised at how little people there were. That's not a big deal bc we get undisturbed karaoke time. We went into our rooms and I just felt like it was really worn down. The karaoke machine/remote was slow/laggy, the room had a weird smell and there was definitely no AC in the room. I think the AC was probably because there was no one else there. But I mean it does have the basics -- it has all the songs you need, it gives you a sense of privacy and most of all - their food is always on point. We didn't order food this time but there garlic wings are some of the best in the game. We did order a beer and the owner gave us some Chex Mix to munch on which was nice, but I just felt that the entire place could use a little love/renovation. Will I be back? Probably -- Assa Tech is still one of my preferred karaokes but it just didn't hit home like it used to.

Service tends to be good and very easy as you just call them in. Food is great but can be pricey. The karaoke experience works well with no problems so far. I like how there are screens in the front and back of the room. I absolutely hate the bathrooms here. It's small and women tend to just stand around in there making it hard to maneuver around.

At least they were able to comp some of the purchase. * The employees were just as confused and blamed it on miscommunication. So your supervisor or manager never told you the closing time?! * An employee literally said "Everyone from this side of the room get the f**k out." Yes, he addressed this to paying customers. Totally poor communication from within and to the public. And even poorer execution of this to customers. People are confused, why would you cuss to usher people out.

Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.

The karaoke room was fun with lights, tambourines, and a decent selection of music. I think they also have a drink and food selection as well upon request. My group of 3 did an hour of singing and we got our own room as well. For an hour, it was around $13 each, so not bad! Very similar to LA's norebang scene, but wayyy cheaper. Parking is a little scary at night though, but at least there's free parking.

The remote was kind of weird you had to make sure you put the song in correctly or it wouldn't register. The TVs had the song lyrics with weird music videos and sometime the lyrics were off probably because of copy right. Something funny is that after every song they gave you a score so that was funny to see. They also had tambourines that we were able to use for our songs. Overall it was really fun and would go back.
