All of the technicians are experienced, attentive, and efficient. I rely in their creative expertise and my daughter brings in a specific photo example. Either way, the nails turn out polished, clean, and durable. I cant speak highly enough of the nail art and shaping they create. I've been getting gel manicures for years and have a problem with my nails bending and cracking below the quick. They recommended dip manicure and it lasted 7 weeks without cracking. Okay, I don't type much at this point but still...amazing results. I just never thought to try dip before. I could have gone years more never realizing dip was a better option for me. Today Tai worked very hard to get me the shape I wanted. A pet peeve of mine is when my nails aren't uniformly filed. Gel or dip is going to cover some filing inconsistencies but I feel my nails hold their shape better over time when they're filed uniformly from the start. Highly recommended...all their nail techs are great.

I was asked to pick a nail color from their huge selection of nail polishes and then seated in a super comfy massage chair (I was told the chairs are new.) The woman working on my feet was super attentive and gave a great foot massage. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I noticed after leaving that I still had some rough skin on the sides of my heels. I wish she had taken a little more time on them with the rasp. Otherwise, I had a great experience and I would definitely go back. I'll just be sure to ask they use the rasp to get more of the rough skin off my feet.

I'm so disappointed to say that today I've experienced the worst pedicure of my life. I had a 4:00pm appointment that I booked online. The technician that I had was very young, kept calling me "bro", and was literally playing a video game on his phone while he was giving me a pedicure! I had yellow polish on my toes from the last pedicure I had here. The technician was scrubbing them with a tool and I told him that it was regular polish, not shellac. He said I know, and kept going over them with this metal tool, which was a little painful. Then he cut my toenails with the polish still on, removed the polish, and barely filed my toenails. He tried scrubbing my feet awkwardly, which was very ticklish so he just stopped. Then he took some water out of the foot bath and put it all over my legs and rubbed them down with a scrub and then removed it. I received no lotion, and then he placed hot towels on each of my feet. The technician said that something bit him and went into the back room for a while. When he returned he was playing the game on his phone. I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode. There were no other customers or employees working when I received my pedicure which was strange because they are usually busy and it was only 4:00. When the nail tech painted my toenails it was very rushed, he barely let the base coat dry and he began applying the polish. I've included pictures so you can see the terrible paint job, my dry feet and yellow nail polish still visible from my last appointment. I also have a rash from the aggressive scrubbing. I let the polish dry under one of the dryers but it was hard to see the details due to dim lighting. When I got out to my car in the sun I was very disappointed. My feet were much better off BEFORE this pedicure.

I made an appointment for my mom and me for her birthday. When we arrived, the woman at the front told us that we did not have an appointment. She said we could get our manicures but that we would have to "play the pedicures by ear." Her attitude was extremely rude and unwelcoming. My mom asked to speak with the manager, who said he remembered me calling and confirmed that there was no issue. At that point, the woman at the front desk quickly changed her tone in front of the manager and claimed that she had told us we might have to wait. That was not what she told us when we arrived.We ultimately decided to leave because we were so turned off by the lady. We ended up going to Blissful Nail Bar in Apex instead, and had an amazing experience with top notch customer service. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I will not be returning to Nail Star, especially if this employee is working.
