First, the good items. Nice interior; spacious and good climate control. Nice bathrooms. Pleasant owner and wait staff. Extensive menu. Sadly, now the bad items. Even though the place was only about 1/3 full when we arrived at 6PM, it took a long time to get the appetizers that were always provided, and we never got the pita bread to use to eat them. Then, it took one to two hours for most of our party to get our food after ordering it, while some folks in the restaurant ordering later got their food first. One person waited THREE HOURS for a salad and, after asking several times about it, was rudely told to go sit down or she would never get it. How long does it take to put together a salad or a schwarma wrap? I ordered the lamb chops. The picture showed three large lamb chops; I got two small lamb chops. When I tried to cut them, it took all the strength I had to cut them. They were verging on being tough and the knife was dull. I finally had to pick them up and eat them with my hands. The basmati rice was so dry it got stuck in my throat and it took several minutes before everything went down. The appetizers were okay, but were somewhat bland. When I paid my bill, it took an extra 10 minutes just to get a customer copy. Very minor note - the paper towel dispenser in the men's room was empty, but I didn't dare tell a wait person, as that would have slowed down the service even more. But now for the big finale! We finished our meal around 8:30PM. By 5AM the next morning, I started having the runs. Perhaps it was just coincidence, and other factors were involved, but the timing was suspicious and I felt great before the meal and again later the next day. Finally, the pricing was not untypical for the Rim development in which the restaurant was located, but definitely on the high side. You can definitely get a meal of equal quality for less and a lot quicker elsewhere. read more

We checked in and Yelp offered a 10% off coupon. The waitress went to get the manager. Manager came up to our table and said he would honor the 10%if we left a "good review." I will interpret this ans a "thorough and honest review". We arrived behind one other couple at the hostess station. Nobody was there to greet customers. However, a gentleman jumped out of a table in the back of the restaurant and helped pointed where we could sit. Menus are on the phone (no hard copies). We sat in the booth are toward the entrance. The booth was covered with a bright blue marble looking material and above it was an imitation fireplace along the entire wall. Chairs had left over food on them as well as the floors. Mid way through a worker did come to sweep and mop while we were eating. Our waitress took our drink order and told us about their homemade mint lemon ade. We ordered that and it was delicious. My wife ordered lentil soup and small salad and I ordered some falafel die appetizers. I also ordered the Lamb kabob plate. The soup, salad and appetizers came out and we took our time eating the falafel. About 15 mins went by and we were done with appetizers. The waitress said our lamb kabob would be out soon. (Only 4-5 tables had customers). 33 minutes went by and we finally got our food without any explanation. However, when we the manager came by for our 10% discount, he asked how things tasted. Honestly the food was decent. But I informed him about the long wait die our food and he responded that meat was cooked fresh. Lamb is normally cooked on high heat and not for very long, so I'm confused about his statement. Then as stated previously. He asked us to leave a good review for exchange for the 10% discount. We started off with the lentil soup which had the exact amount of spices that I would find back home along with a smooth consistency. And this place knows what's up, make sure to squeeze the lemon they put on the side in your soup. The FALAFEL had an excellent texture and you can tell the oil they used was FRESH. For our main dishes we got the mixed kabab, Molokhia & Bamia (okra) tagen w/meat. I first was impressed by the portions and how quick the food came out. The kababs were cooked to a perfect consistency and most importantly not too charred or overdone. The flavors and moisture left the kababs exquisitely tender! Our experience shifted when our drinks (not water) were left empty as we waited on our food. I assume that they must not give refills here for hibiscus tea. We eventually asked for water midway through our meal. Speaking of the meal, I ordered the specialty skewer plate and asked if I could just get salad instead of rice and asked for hummus for my one side. We seemed to have had some miscommunication as I was surprised when receiving our bill. Turns out the salad I thought I was to receive with the meal was understood as a full order of their $11 tabbouleh listed as a salad on the menu. My side of hummus turned out to also include an additional $2 charge. When I brought these details up to my waiter he stated that he thought the salad was to be for the table and I was under the impression this was to be replacing my rice. Hmm... I wound up spending $40 + $5 for my iced tea. I'm giving this spot 3 stars as the food was delicious but just make sure you ask if you're being charged for subbing anything as the staff will just let the bill rack up and not check with you on this. By far some of the best Mediterranean dishes I have had in a long time. We ordered the hummus as an appetizer and it was delicious. Mind you, there is great hummus in many local places, but here it is definitely a step above most. The lamb was expertly cooked and so flavorful. I enjoyed every bite. The prices are a bit higher than other similar restaurants, but the quality more than makes up for it. In my humble opinion, I got way more than what I payed for. I think overall, a great spot to get a good meal. My wife and I were driving down pretty late to the restaurant and they were so kind to take our order and ensure we got our food. Usually, the kitchen closes but the manager was very kind and knew that we were driving far after prayer at the mosque. We got the chicken wrap with the french fries. Both were really good! The chicken wrap was seasoned well and not at all dry. Fries also tasted really well. I've been here before and I can now say that I prefer this over the Chicken kabob over rice. I have been to this place twice so far and after the first time I knew I would be back. Every time that I've been here, it is never crowded which I like and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The first time I went I got their salmon and rice which was really good, and their hookah as well. I was very satisfied with the hookah prices and quality, I came with friends and we stayed for about an hour and a half and the hookah was just as good from start to finish. I hope they will be around for years to come because I will keep coming back as long as they are. read more

Is 0 stars possible? Waited for 50min to an hour after my order for only one of the members of the party to get food. Waited 15-20 more minutes and it finally arrived. Food was OK. After all of the wait and only getting one refill and having 2 dry salads to go with our meals, we were only comped 10% and offered a free dessert. The manager rather than accepting the time I told him I waited instead decided to voice his doubt in front of the entire restaurant. Avoid this place. Ps.
