Gheimeh bademjan - meat and eggplant stew
Sonja J.

I visited for lunch with a friend who has mobility issues, that is, she needs support walking. I was able to assist her to the door and to a table without any problems, there is room even for a walker or wheelchair. It was difficult to choose because the menu has so many nice options. I decided finally on the gheimeh bademjan (meat and eggplant stew). The flavours were very nice, the meat was tender, and the eggplant was silky soft. The waiter made a valiant effort at our table, but my friend does not hear well, he was soft spoken, and the restaurant is full of hard surfaces and therefore noisy. I will likely go again when in San Antonio, but not with a group or friend i wanted to visit with and talk to a lot during the meal.

Beef Shawarma Plate

This was good. I didn't really want to try it after going to another Mediterranean grill not far from here, but I'm glad I did. The food was good and fresh. I got the beef shawarma and my wife got the chicken shawarma. The beef though was better than the chicken. The server was friendly and attentive. I think the restaurant had a slightly busy vide to it so maybe a more upbeat atmosphere is a better way to describe it. I would like to return and try some other dishes.

Food was well flavored, light and hearty and not too heavy. Service was great and friendly staff. Ambience was well lit, very nice interior decor, and not a loud noise level. Highly recommended to family and friends for great tasting Mediterranean food.

Another awesome dinner at my go to mediterranean restaurant. The atmosphere is always great as is the service and food. It would be great if they added more onions pieces to their meals, like they use to in the past.

Service started a bit slow but made up for it once we ordered. Not pictured is the naan with olive oil dip. So fresh and delicious! Pretty chill inside. Clean tables. All four of us ordered a different dish. Each of us were very happy with taste & temperature of our food. We've been here several times. And we will continue to eat here.

I have ordered Pasha to-go on many occasions but today my husband and I decided to dine in. The service was great, but the food was not up to par. The pita bread was good, my husband got the barg kabob - steak was good, the rice was okay, the veggies were okay, mushrooms tasted like out of a can. I got the gyro plate also not good, meat was okay the salad not good, the hummus was good and the tzatziki sauce also not good. Will not go back. Quite disappointed. Also they no longer have saffron rice.

This place was absolutely amazing! It was a nice quiet atmosphere, me and my friends enjoyed a chicken shawarma with a house salad which was absolutely amazing. everything was amazing.

The ambiance is very casual and small with natural lighting in the day, I love their food options since I'm on a diet I found myself enjoying my meal. The veggies and lettuce are fresh and the fish is light and satisfying with deep flavor but not fishy. Shrimp equally amazing. My server was very kind and attentive. The naan is complimentary and I ordered another one because my friend are nearly the whole thing by herself because it's that good. I ate half of the next one and still hot and fresh.

Firstly, 10/10 meal, 12/10 service for those wondering. Came here for a to go order & my goodness, I felt so welcomed. To the kind manager & the nice fella that wears white glasses, big shout out to you guys. Both offered me a drink while working on my order.(Manager's name was Anderson I believe? Sorry if wrong) Chicken Kabob Plate w/ Rice - Chicken, veggies & rice were both moist, paired well w/ the spices & seasonings. Was surprised by how much rice they give for a takeout order. My personal fav- the Gyro plate. Tons of delicious meat, & by golly I swear by it that this is the best Medi. Restaurant in SATX if not all of TX. OH. ALSO. THAT SALAD DRESSING IS BOMB. VEGGIE Sambusa - we originally wanted Beef, they were sold out & offered to remove it (+ pts for asking if we wanted veggie or cancel that order) is really good. Hummus(part of my gyro plate) - You can tell they care about their work. Paired just right w/ the fresh bread that each meal gets. Delicious. It tasted fresh and shows dividends as this place is always busy alll week through all business hours. The only thing we wish we got in our order was the oil that is normally served w/ the bread. The restaurant had a homie vibe w/ not much decor but the design still makes you feel like you're in the Mediterranean! Plenty of seating. We loved our food and will definitely be back. Thank you guys for the awesome first experience

For an authentic Mediterranean experience, the original Pasha on Wurzbach is the one to come try. We have been to the Stone Oak location, but this one tastes more like what we had in our travels. Perhaps they get their spices from the next door market Ali Baba, which sells many of the same spices they use in their dishes. Tonight we went with the Greek Moussaka and the Chicken Shawarma. Both were delicious and we were served huge portions. The Lamb Chops and Cornish hens were amazing, too in our past outings. If you are less adventurous in your choices, then you can go with the gyro which is a local favorite. I would encourage you to venture out of your comfort zone and go more exotic. Service has always been good and friendly, so it makes for a pleasant evening. This location is darker and not as nice on the inside as the Stone Oak restaurant, but it has the one thing that no other Pasha restaurant has, that is a short walk to the Baklovah Bakery. Don't know of a better way to wind down a long week than the red velvet cookie and cheesecake available right across the parking lot.

I make a better Mediterranean salad at home. Sorry not sorry, why? It was mostly iceburg lettuce with THREE small tomatoes, 2 slivers of onion, 4 olives, and ITALIAN dressing..... like what?! This should not be an entree as a salad.... Maybe a cheap side salad. Verrry disappointed. Also the gyro meat was overcooked and it was hard and dry. The only reason it was edible was I added feta cheese. Realized I dislike Turkish coffee, no milk to add. Every thing i needed I had to get up or wave them down. Don't sit in a hidden area. The staff was friendly but forgot about me around the corner. Waste of money.

Hummus

Their gyro and hummus was pretty good I thought the portions were big as well. The workers are super nice and come by quickly to see if anything is needed. The cauliflower was interestingly presented but I liked it. The chicken was slightly dry though.

Our twelve guests ranged in age from 14-79 years, and everyone had a wonderful experience. We began with waters for the table, soft drinks, and cocktails/mocktails (Man Walks into a Bar, Amba No. 5, Don Alberto, Green Shug Collins). Due to our large party, we had booked a chef's tasting experience, which was spectacular. The appetizers were plentiful, flavorful, and unique. Our server, Anissa, did a wonderful job of explaining each dish-- its components, highlights, even suggesting that after finishing the beef dumplings, we stir the oil and yogurt together for an amazing pita dipping sauce. Our meal included four meats-- actually five, considering an off menu chef's creation for our pescatarian guest. It was such an immersive experience, I never took out my phone to capture photos of the food (or our group, sadly). Three desserts topped off the evening. When (not if) we return, we'll certainly request Anissa again. She made the evening a complete delight, even bringing out celebratory candles for our honored guests.

Overall, I'd say most of the people in our group probably would not go back, but I don't necessarily think that was because the food was bad or lacking flavor. I think a lot of us just weren't very accustomed to Mediterranean flavor profiles and this style of dining. Most of us really enjoyed the dips, the meats, and the desserts. Those were definitely the standout parts of the meal for our group. Some of the dishes in between were a little more questionable for us personally -- we tried everything, but there wasn't necessarily one specific dish we completely fell in love with. That being said, the experience itself was amazing. The atmosphere was so cool and unlike anything we had done before. Being served course after course and getting to experience so many different dishes made the meal feel really unique and memorable. All of the staff members who waited on us were absolutely fantastic and so understanding of some of our questioning looks while trying unfamiliar foods. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the experience feel fun and comfortable from start to finish. If you already love Mediterranean food, this place may be right up your alley. I just think it's good to know what kind of flavor profiles to expect before coming, especially if you're newer to this type of cuisine. Overall, we still had a great time there.

Some restaurants feed you. Tripoli's transports you. From…read morethe moment you walk in, the space does something to you -- warm lighting, tufted banquettes, burgundy velvet chairs with gold legs, and a ceiling panel with intricate geometric lattice work straight out of a Moroccan riad. It doesn't feel like a strip mall restaurant. It feels intentional. The pastry case alone deserves its own review. Piped butter cookies, rose-dotted squares dusted with cardamom, delicate filled rolls -- it's the kind of display that makes you order dessert before you've even sat down. And then the food. The chicken shawarma bowl is not playing around -- seasoned chicken, kalamata olives, crumbled feta, creamy garlic sauce over a bed of greens, finished with cracked pepper. Every bite is layered and bold. The kind of meal that makes you pause mid-fork and just appreciate it. What sets Tripoli's apart isn't just the food or the ambiance. It's that the whole experience feels curated. Like someone who actually loves this culture built this place and meant every single detail. San Antonio has been sleeping on this gem. Wake up!!

I had a hard time walking out without calling for the manager or owner. I would like to start my…read morepost with the positive so here it goes. The ambiance was great, everything from the decorative rugs, Arab writing on the wall, tagine pottery and brass crafts were perfectly displayed. The tabbouleh salad was very tasty, it had the right amount of ingredients making it pretty as well as colorful placed in the neat brass metal bowl. Now with the things that require immediate remedial attention: 1. The burger was overrated, overcooked and dry. 2. The chick pea salad lacked chick peas, dressing, onions and feta cheese. 3. The lamb Kofta plate was prepared right however, it was not enough meat for the price and the cream sauce tasted like straight butter with a hint of garlic. The pita bread was lukewarm and looked like it had been unwrapped, quartered and thrown in a microwave for 30 seconds prior to serving it. 4. Drinks Ordered: The Cafe' Arabia was very tasty BUT, I didn't get it until we were almost done with our meal. We ordered drinks when we were first seated so that was a big red flag. My wife also ordered the Moroccan mint teapot and she didn't get it until after I got my coffee. I told the barista/waiter to cancel it when I got my coffee but he said it was also ready for us and could put it in a to-go cup for her. That kind of defeated the whole experience of drinking tea while waiting for our meal. 5. The service was really slow. Took over 15 minutes to get our (tap) waters and 20 minutes for our food when we were the only ones in the restaurant until we had placed our order. 6. The waitress needs some serious people skills and bussing training to know how to serve food and drinks. She touched the tops of the glasses her fingers. She didn't greet us and practically dropped the plates on the table when she brought them out. To add insult to injury, she put the handheld pay device on the table without asking us if we wanted or needed anything else. My kids wanted to try out some desserts, so luckily for us, the nearby HEB has plenty to offer. I had high hopes for this place because of what the owner posted on Instagram and it is so close to our neighborhood. Guess we will have to continue driving further into the city to other Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern restaurants that have better food and service.
