I visited for lunch with a friend who has mobility issues, that is, she needs support walking. I was able to assist her to the door and to a table without any problems, there is room even for a walker or wheelchair. It was difficult to choose because the menu has so many nice options. I decided finally on the gheimeh bademjan (meat and eggplant stew). The flavours were very nice, the meat was tender, and the eggplant was silky soft. The waiter made a valiant effort at our table, but my friend does not hear well, he was soft spoken, and the restaurant is full of hard surfaces and therefore noisy. I will likely go again when in San Antonio, but not with a group or friend i wanted to visit with and talk to a lot during the meal. read more

This was good. I didn't really want to try it after going to another Mediterranean grill not far from here, but I'm glad I did. The food was good and fresh. I got the beef shawarma and my wife got the chicken shawarma. The beef though was better than the chicken. The server was friendly and attentive. I think the restaurant had a slightly busy vide to it so maybe a more upbeat atmosphere is a better way to describe it. I would like to return and try some other dishes. read more

I have ordered Pasha to-go on many occasions but today my husband and I decided to dine in. The service was great, but the food was not up to par. The pita bread was good, my husband got the barg kabob - steak was good, the rice was okay, the veggies were okay, mushrooms tasted like out of a can. I got the gyro plate also not good, meat was okay the salad not good, the hummus was good and the tzatziki sauce also not good. Will not go back. Quite disappointed. The ambiance is very casual and small with natural lighting in the day, I love their food options since I'm on a diet I found myself enjoying my meal. The veggies and lettuce are fresh and the fish is light and satisfying with deep flavor but not fishy. Shrimp equally amazing. My server was very kind and attentive. I'm not sure what happened here, but the food is really not what it used to be. Pasha's isn't close to where I live, so it used to be a "destination" when we wanted great Mediterranean food, for a weekend date lunch. But we went yesterday and the food was just... meh. The hummus, tabouleh salad and bread dip were fine. The bread was lukewarm, The bread and kebabs were nothing special, it's like they're trying to save money on spices? We hadn't been there for a while, didn't remember the main dishes coming with a generic "Greek salad", but might be wrong on that. The Turkish coffee was simply awful - as if they'd put the coffee grounds in warm water with no time to steep. So we switched to the "House Tea", which is... bagged, rather than loose. It would have been nice to get the appetizer before the main plates come out. With that many things off, it seems that something quite fundamental must have happened with Pasha. We had trouble communicating with the waitress, but she seemed to be indicating a change of ownership or management? With this many things off, it's certainly believable. There are simply too many good alternatives in the area for us to go back to Pasha. Maybe they believe they can coast along on their once-deserved reputation? read more

For an authentic Mediterranean experience, the original Pasha on Wurzbach is the one to come try. We have been to the Stone Oak location, but this one tastes more like what we had in our travels. Perhaps they get their spices from the next door market Ali Baba, which sells many of the same spices they use in their dishes. Tonight we went with the Greek Moussaka and the Chicken Shawarma. Both were delicious and we were served huge portions. The Lamb Chops and Cornish hens were amazing, too in our past outings. If you are less adventurous in your choices, then you can go with the gyro which is a local favorite. I would encourage you to venture out of your comfort zone and go more exotic. Service has always been good and friendly, so it makes for a pleasant evening. This location is darker and not as nice on the inside as the Stone Oak restaurant, but it has the one thing that no other Pasha restaurant has, that is a short walk to the Baklovah Bakery. Don't know of a better way to wind down a long week than the red velvet cookie and cheesecake available right across the parking lot. read more

This used to be our go-to 10+ years ago. Now that we've moved back to San Antonio and saw that Pasha is still standing, we decided to go. The restaurant extended from the last time we were there, the ambiance was family friendly, a little too loud from Where we were sitting. The naan was probably the most disappointing. It was extremely thin and too crispy. Our server (I forgot his name) was attentive and prompt with our drink refills and whatever we needed. The dolmas had good flavor with the tang that I like. We shared 3 plates. Gyros, the combo, and a chicken dish for my son. It was all good. Not great, but good. Now that there are far more Mediterranean places to eat at, We will only be back for the nostalgia. read more

This should not be an entree as a salad.... Maybe a cheap side salad. Verrry disappointed. Also the gyro meat was overcooked and it was hard and dry. Service is always great. My family and I love it. They recently sent me my birthday gift, which was $5.00 off my next meal. I had never received it before, but I am a rewards member now. So I guess that's why I got it. The email said I could use it in store or online. I went Friday, 24 July and sat at table 25 and was served by Nor M. (at least that's what my receipt says). A beautiful young lady with a beautiful attitude and so very service oriented. I ordered the Gyro plate and their rose iced tea. I enjoyed the meal immensely as always When it came time to pay the bill, I told her about my b-day gift/email (which was good from July 20 through the 24th) and she asked to see it and I showed it to her on my phone and she said this was new to her so she went to talk to her manager. Strike 1 !! The manager didn't bother to come talk to me, but sent the message back through her that this could only be done online and they wouldn't honor it today in store. The restaurant was moderately busy and I wasn't going to embarrass this young lady by making a scene so I paid my bill and I left. Strike 2 !! I wrote to them via the Wurzbach location website contact form as soon as I got back home and I've yet to hear anything. Suggestion - Pasha, answer your comment emails And, If you're going to offer a birthday reward to customers who continue to give you business and your birthday reward - through Toast by the way - says it can be redeemed in store or online, then you should honor that! Again, it was $5.00 and I'm not really upset about that - I'm more upset that your manager didn't come to check on his/her own to see what I was talking about and only gave a flippant dismissive answer via the waitress Strike 3 !! Very disappointed Pasha. Your customers deserve more. You're the one that offered the discount. You should honor it, especially when it's presented to you in its original form/in writing. So you get a three star review instead of what should be a five star review. Bad for Pasha. Very bad form. The pita bread is awesome. The hummus is excellent. The zaatar for dipping was great. The garlic sauce was awesome. And the place is so cute and has such a great feel. Also, my wife's chicken kabob was excellent. The gyro was the only thing I got that wasn't great. It was fine, but not as good as everything else. And I thought the Greek salad would have feta on it. My biggest complaint is that I bought a gift card to try this place and went to use the gift card and the gift card doesn't work...so what am I supposed to do? Never use it? Call ahead to check? It's a gift card TO this place...I can't use it elsewhere...so...what do I do? I can't go return the gift card, so I feel like I got scammed (by the gift card seller). I wouldn't say this ruined my meal...but it was shocking and super disappointing...what happens if I didn't bring other ways to pay? It's a decent spot! I also think it's very affordable. Servers are very attentive so don't feel shy to ask for more complimentary naan to dip in the sauce! I got the gyro plate, and it was fairly tender, just not the best I've had here in San Antonio. I didn't care much for the side salad but the hummus was great. My friends got one of their shrimp and chicken plates & I think I liked both of theirs better so maybe gyro just wasn't the best option here. In the past, our family absolutely loved Pasha. Last night, we decided to use Uber Eats to order Pasha to-go last night. First, the Baba Ghannojj was the worse I've had. My spouse said it tasted like it came out of a can. While it wasn't that bad for me, it was missing the roasted taste that the menu description boast. Second, the naan was significantly different. It looked and felt like pre-packaged naan and missed all of the hallmarks of freshly made naan - like the huge burn marks in certain spots and the small bits of parsley and cilantro. I had ordered extra because of what I thought I was going to receive, yet tonight's naan looked like oversized pre-packed tortillas. It also didn't come with the oil dip and spices. I'm not sure it would have helped much, yet it was still missing. Were used to getting butter with our meal to add to the rice, and this was another thing missing. My Pasha Bowl was okay, yet I should have ordered the Koobideh Kabob like I usually do, yet my spouse did an it was missing the grilled mushrooms. It only had the bell pepper and tomato. Because of all the missing and changed items, we're definitely not ordering Pasha from Uber Eats. We're on the fence as to whether we'd venture back in person since we were so disappointed. read more

Nevertheless we stayed, visited and ordered lunch. The service was fine, no problem there. The food however was not good. Everyone ordered something different, and different it was. My gyro was okay but there are much better gyros around SA. My greek salad was bad, don't know why they called it a Greek salad. Website Online ordered marinated Beef steak Shawarma Plate which the beef wasn't something I would order again although it was a large portion but very chewy/gristley & a potent flavor profile wound up being discarded. Enjoyed their fresh salad. Fantastic grilled shrimp. Scrumptious cranberry rice & the Seasoned beef Sambusa was absolutely delicious. Their Naan bread isn't anything like seen on their pictures being fluffy nor what I've typically eaten at other restaurants, it was more large, very thin flat & flavorless & wouldn't order their naan again. Otherwise rather pricey at $45.14 before tip considering I discarded the disappointing beef dish but other side items were good. Parkings a bit tight in the shopping area but found a spot having to walk a short distance. Dining area was packed & the counter area has some chairs customers can sit while waiting to pick up orders. Clean friendly atmosphere. We arrived for lunch and were seated promptly. The food came out rapidly considering the crowd, and was tasty. Today, I opted for a Naan-wich of chicken shawarma and was surprised. That meal is absolutely ginormous for what you pay, although I found the chicken a tad bland. Overall: I'd recommend it ! My wife also expressed contentment with her meal. My only complaint was that our server was not the best. She took our order, but did not deliver our food and failed to check on us at all throughout our meal. At one point, my wife had to leave the table and ask someone else to get something she wanted. We literally didn't see our waitress again until she brought the bill...
