What's not to love? The service is great, the vibe is exquisite, and the kids love being able to see the coal fire cooking real food. PRO-TIP: don't touch the glass (it's hot). Before we go on, if you just stop here: the cold dip sampler is worth it. Do it. Our kids love the kafta kabobs and rice, and we went to town on the shawarma to make up for a bad shawarma experience a few days prior. Now the universe is balanced after we had an opportunity to enjoy shawarma the way it was intended to be enjoyed (thinly sliced from a vertical rotisserie, piled into a sandwich, and served prompt and hot). This is the food of my people (well, geographically adjacent people but it's close enough) and so when we don't feel like cooking, we gladly drive to Kababchi Grill for our fix. When I enter a restaurant and the customers are dressed in their traditional garb from their native homeland, I'm expecting the food to be authentic, or at least I like my chances. The Lamb and Meat Kabob were exactly that and more. As you walk in, the first thing that catches your eye is an open flame grill with some delicious looking Kabobs grilling. Yum! Pair that dish with either the Greek salad or the biryani rice and you will thank me later. If you are into sharing plates, add the 1/2 rotisserie chicken plate, share both dishes and you will not leave hungry. If you are ready to go into full food comatose, then order the Lotus cheesecake for dessert. Something about a Biscoff biscuit treat, I just find irresistible. The taste is light, but be prepared for a night time nap, or at least have an Uber lined up to get you home. The restaurant has several large tables, as many families along the Mediterranean live and eat together, so it makes sense to accommodate those bigger parties. They believe that every meal is a story of friendship, family and flavors are a way food is celebrated, or at least what we witnessed in our travels throughout these regions. I had high expectations walking into Kababchi Grill, especially since I chose it for my wife's birthday. We specifically picked this place because it's halal and came recommended by a friend, so we expected a comfortable and respectful dining experience. Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly and made it clear we weren't welcome. When we arrived, we were placed at the very first table near the front. My wife politely asked if we could be seated somewhere else, but the staff member continued walking and ignored the request. I had to raise my voice just to get her attention. When she finally turned around and we asked again, her response was dismissive, she told us we could "sit wherever we want" and walked off without any assistance. What made this even more frustrating was that the restaurant only had two other guests at the time. There was no reason for the lack of attention or flexibility, yet we were treated as if our request was an inconvenience. At that point, we decided to walk out. We didn't feel comfortable eating in a place where it was clear we were not welcomed--especially on a special occasion. For a place that should prioritize hospitality, especially one that markets itself as halal and comes recommended--this level of service was unacceptable. I hope management takes a closer look at how guests are greeted and treated upon arrival, because first impressions matter. read more

Kababchi was highly recommended by a friend and I was really looking forward to trying it. I've eaten food from shisha cafe kitchen before so I assumed it would be the same kitchen or similar. I was disappointed there was no chicken shawarma plate , just a sandwich. So instead I ordered the mixed chicken & beef kabab plate. Unfortunately, the chicken had a very strange texture. I would describe it like a dried out mcd's chicken nugget. The beef was decent. I noticed about halfway throughout our meal that the cooks were cooking the kababs from completely frozen chicken & beef. You can see straight to the kitchen through a large window. I've never known a restaurant (except I guess fast food) to have frozen meats. I assumed Mediterranean food would be fresh. That was a huge disappointment. Our cheesecake was partially frozen so we didn't get to finish that. The hummus was amazing. Lots of oil but still very good. The pita bread was okay. Kind of hard like a cracker in some spots (even our second bread) but the soft parts were delicious. My friend had a beef gyro plate w/fries and said it was delicious and that the beef tasted fresh (not sure if it was previously frozen or not, just kababs). I'm not sure if things have recently changed or if it was just an off day for them. Business was slow so I assumed it'd be great considering it was highly recommended. 3 of us for an early dinner. Food was on point. We had a pot of Turkish coffee, chicken shawarma, beef Kabobs. Only had to ask for a refill on a water. Nazira is a perfect server. Our food was hot, flavorful, she checked on us even with a full restaurant. Nazira is the reason we come back here as often as we do. We got the chicken shawarma wrap which I thought was really good. It was a good portion and was pretty tender. I thought it could use a little more salt though. It came with fries and they were so crispy! The baklava for dessert was great and it was crispy but a little bit oily. The workers were nice and we were able to sit down immediately. This place is hit or miss. I am Lebanese and honestly this is the only place I feel it is closer to my home cooking. It is never consistent though. One time the food is licking delicious and the next not even edible! This review is based on my last visit which I am leaning towards never going back! My friends got there before me and I asked them to order me the grilled whole chicken. I get there to find it at the table looking so dry! I was so hungry I forgot to even take a picture. I wondered throughout the meal how long that chicken has been there reheated and served. I still ate it without complaining. It wasn't a cheap meal though! Moving forward I think I will not initiate a visit to this restaurant unless I go join a group of friends. It is bittersweet since sometimes I crave my own food without having to cook it at home. First time visitors! Ordered the family dinner so we could try a variety of foods. They gave us a huge tray of beef kabab, chicken kabab, chicken tikka, beef tip tikka, french fries and grilled tomatoes all served over naan. Also received 3 huge pieces of naan, a cucumber salad, and hummus. It was expensive but that was a lot of food! It was all super hot and delicious! The only thing I would have preferred was rice instead of french fries as I love to eat the juicy grilled tomatoes over rice. Good experience! read more

Tried this spot out after being recommended by our friends and was not disappointed! We came by on a Sunday so naturally it was packed with families, but we didn't mind lol -- tried to Turkish coffee and it was delicious. We didn't actually get what we ordered but waited a bit for the food anyways so just decided to eat what we got and it was of course very flavorful! Very rude and felt like they were racist towards us. A Party of Six, Caucasian & Hispanic people that was seated for more then 30 minutes without being acknowledge. We saw several people that were not of our race to be served and had drinks and food after we have been seated first and waiting to be serve. When third table next to us arrived after us and was already being served, my party and I decided to get up and leave. Even then no one acknowledged or cared that we were leaving, if they weren't racist towards us then it had to be the hat one of us was wearing that read " Jesus is King"....I don't no any other explanation that we would be treated like we weren't even there. Pita bread was soft and warm, fries were crispy not crunchy and the rice was everything and more. I did add tzatziki sauce instead of hummus. Not gonna lie at first I was unsure about the kind of service I was in for but it all worked out. My waiter got his zoom on and everything just made for an enjoyable dinner. I'll most likely stick to the falafel sandwich and rice so this place can be my new go to when I want falafel. They did get my interest with the desserts and smoothies so I'll dabble in those items in future visits. We get the mixed grill and mixed dip appetizer plate and enjoy plenty of refills of their complimentary fresh baked naan. This way we get to try their salad, dips, rice, and all the meats. I went for a late lunch and it was relatively empty. They have a place you can look into the kitchen to see them cooking that's neat. My only complaint was service was incredibly slow. Took forever just to get a glass of water. They had a sign posted that they were understaffed but in my opinion that wasn't the issue. I visibly saw staff sitting around not paying attention to their tables. When someone finally brought me a glass of water, she even complained that she'd told someone else to bring me water twice. Exceptional service, food, and portions. For a Saturday night, we were able to get seated quickly. The activity of the chef's, the sounds of the grill, the music all provided for a satisfying environment that added to the pleasant experience. I also liked that they had TVs everywhere. I am a plant based person my partner is a meat eater. This place has really tasty food. We eat a lot of Mediterranean food and this is some of the best I've had. I order from the appetizer menu and he gets his meat kababs which are fire grilled. You can even watch them grill the dishes. Most are made from scratch so you can customize your meal. Their falafel and baba ganush are excellent. The kabab plates are enough for two or three. The service is good and the waiters are helpful and informative if you have questions. This is a family friendly place. With nice atmosphere. We checked out the hooka place associated with the restaurant and my friend said it was just like the ones she saw pin Istanbul. Not our thing but for those who smoke it looks like they have a wide selection. Have no fear The restaurant has no smoke smell at all. This is the best Middle Eastern food I've had! We had a ton of food and each item was superb. To start, the atmosphere is wonderful. I loved the mural when you first walk in and all of the art throughout the restaurant. The staff are so warm and welcoming, they really make you feel at home. The first thing we had was the hummus, which is freshly made and you can definitely tell. It's served with hot-out-of-the-oven Arabic flatbread (AMAZING). The second round we ordered was the sesame flatbread that added a very good crispyness. Next, chicken kabab sandwich (actually a wrap), that had this really good garlic aioli. Also, if you're a pickle-lover, you'll love this because they put them in the wrap! I looooved the kabab, it had a really unique savory flavor. We also had the burger that had a Middle Eastern twist of flavor to it! They have an extensive drink menu and I had to try the Iraqi Chai since I'd never had it before. It was so good! Really brought the meal together and it's even served with little cookies! I will be back again and again to try more items, and you should try it to! read more

Wow, so many things were great about this place! Mona was an amazing server but ohhh the food. I have been over to the Middle East on many occasions and I will tell you that supper is an occasion. Ate there last night. The food was OK and the service was pretty good. Certainly wouldn't order the mixed kabob again, although it's unlikely I'll ever come back. First of all, we were a group of 9 people with 5 separate bills. While I understand the addition of a large party "surcharge", when paying on their remote credit card reader, it wasn't clear that I was already paying an 18% tip. As a result, the server ended up with almost 30%. Service might have been worth 18% but not 30%, My biggest issue is that about half way through the meal I realized the server was wearing a pro Palestine t-shirt. Had I noticed that when we first walked in I would have walked right back out the door. People are free to believe whatever they want but there is no place for something like that in a business environment. Can't believe I'm the only patron who has been offended. Allowing a server to wear something like this, which is very divisive, demonstrates a serious lack of judgement by the management and/or ownership of this company. read more

Came here with a large group. Staff was very kind, patient and accommodating! I got the chicken combo plate which was absolutely delish and i got a Mediterranean salad with it. Everything was amazing quality! Plus everything is halal for those who want it! They brought out appetizers such as hummus, fetoush and other Middle Eastern favorites.
