If i could add more stars i totally would ! marine and her husband are dedicated workers. i love how they give their honest opinion when asked but also respect whatever the customer wants. my wedding dress needed A LOT of work and they finished it quickly. i continue going back because of how quick and efficient marine and her husband are but also because of how personable they are !
I was looking for wedding alterations and read tons of reviews. I knew alterations would be pricey so I had gotten a few different quotes -- in the end, I felt that Marine understood the needs of my dress and how I would feel wearing it. My ballgown was heavy and the bustles really made it perfect. I ended up bringing another evening gown to Marine for help because I wasn't sure if I would trust anyone else. Highly recommend!
I cannot recommend this alterations place enough. Marine tailored my wedding dress perfectly- it fit like it was made just for me. What truly impressed me was her skill and attention to detail. She was even able to un stitch the lace and move it up, which completely transformed the dress and made it absolutely perfect. She is incredibly sweet and made the entire process stress-free and comfortable. I shopped around pricewise for a while before choosing this place. She had the best price compared to dozens of other places. I highly recommend using her!

I had such a great experience having both wedding dresses altered here. For reference, I am petite and parts of my body are not always complying. I was worried about the feasibility of whether the dresses I got were going to work out as they were not purchased new. A huge part of my dresses not being purchase new was because I was very frustrated when going to 6 stores to try on different dresses... nothing looked right or normal and so I went on a whim and bought 2 that I had a good feeling about. Given this.. I knew I had to find true experts in tailoring. The family team at luxury alterations really helped make me feel like a bride. For the first time in a public space I tried on my dresses before my wedding and got that feeling you see so often on "say yes to the dress" . This feeling was absent through all my visits to the stores. So I am eternally grateful for the talent , patience, and kindness of the staff from luxury alterations. I needed to come in for about 3 fittings.. was not charged for this but just to ensure I felt like a bride. One of the best decisions I made throughout the wedding planning process was going to this establishment. Thank you team!
After my original alterations plans fell through, I found Luxury Alterations 2 1/2 weeks before my wedding! I needed sleeves added to my dress, as well as a few other alterations and I was totally panicked! After that initial visit, I was completely at peace! They were professional and knowledgeable, and I immediately knew they were capable of creating the alterations to this dream dress! When I picked up the dress, it was perfect. Their attention to detail and high-quality work was so evident! The dress was a dream to wear on our wedding day and I'm so grateful to Luxury Alterations! I couldn't recommend their business more! They are professional and extremely knowledgeable to handle high-quality garments with care and precision!
Khachik and Marine were the dream team for me. I brought in my wedding dress to have the bust taken in significantly and I knew it would be tough since my dress had quite a bit of boning. They did an amazing job! In addition to taking in my bust, they also hemmed my dress, added in a finger loop so I could "bustle" the dress at the end of the night, and made some alterations to my skirt including tightening the wait and removing buttons. Both of them are very kind and honest. I had some ideas for smaller alterations, and both of them gave their advice for each item I mentioned. I had multiple fittings, and each time the process felt collaborative which isn't something I have experienced with a lot of tailors. I never felt like they were trying to rush me, upsell me, or take advantage of me - on the contrary, my maid of honor brought a dress to be taken in and they advised her against it after pinning the dress to show her how the fabric would be affected with the alterations. Their prices are also very fair for the quality of the work and the time and attention they give you. I'm so glad I trusted them with my wedding dress and as a result I felt beautiful on my wedding day. If you are looking for someone to alter an important garment (or anything really), I could not recommend Marine and Khachik enough. Super professional and kind, and I know anything I bring them will come out amazing!
Where do I begin with this amazing duo?! I recently had the pleasure of working with Marine and her husband for the alterations on both my reception dress and pre-wedding event outfit (for my Sangeet), and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. The reception dress, in particular, was a challenge--it was entirely hand-done with two separate pieces and very heavy beading--but Marine and her husband handled it with incredible skill and precision. The alterations were flawless, and the dress fit like a glove. What truly impressed me was how careful and meticulous they were with every detail. They not only altered the outfits to perfection but also preserved the integrity and craftsmanship of the outfits that came all the way from India, which was so important to me. Mariam and everyone at Luxury Alterations are absolutely amazing and their work shows it! I went to their alterations shop when I was still losing weight for my wedding. I had initially gotten the neckline altered to look more like a natural sweetheart, added bra cups, and had the train cut to half its length. Each fitting was easy and they made sure my dress was form fitting. I know it was a challenge since I'm petite and the dress was bought 2 sizes larger. By the end of my final fitting, we all realized that I was still losing weight, so we scheduled another 2 alterations days to take in the sides. They literally had me stand on the step and they analyzed each angle. I loved their dedication to making this dress beautiful on my wedding day! Specifically, there was a strange creasing at my thigh gap and they cut out embellishments from the excess of my train and placed them on the area to make the creasing less obvious. My guests and husband were in love with my dress and I was so proud to wear it. I came here to get my wedding dress altered for my 2021 wedding. I had a form fitting Crepe style dress, that needed some minor alterations. The shop is a cute family owned business. Both the husband and wife (Marine) were so welcoming! I came twice for fittings and alterations, with no issues or complaints. Marine and her husband listened to what I wanted, but also gave their expert advice. Turn around time was very fast and their prices are more than reasonable. It took me a while to post a review with all the wedding chaos but here is is - I was so hesitant about getting my wedding dress altered at somewhere other than the bridal boutique I got my dress - I mean, wedding dresses aren't cheap. They were extremely fair with their pricing and Mariam was so helpful through the whole process. It ended up being half the price of getting my dress altered at Janene's bridal where I bought my dress - and everyone was so much nicer here. I came in desperate to find somewhere to take on this project with only 6 weeks till the wedding. My dress was a very difficult hem (tiered horsehair) and they didn't even flinch at the hem or the timeline. They were so much more attentive than any of the other alterations places I had been - just what a stressed out bride needs. When I gained a little weight in between fittings they adjusted with no issue or cost difference. AND THE BUSTLE - perfect. You couldn't even tell it was bustled when it was, they made it just look like part of the dress. I would 100% recommend this place for others wedding dress alterations. read more

So so thankful for this place! I was treated with assurance that my dress would be done in time. As i had issues getting my previous wedding dress and had to go wedding dress shopping all over again within a couple months before my wedding! Everything was done in a timely manner and i was able to get my dress altered from a dress with straps into a strapless dress! It was worth the price that i paid for and was very reasonable for the tailoring and adjustments that was made! Cannot recommend this place enough!! Great customer service!! read more

I was very happy with the work Marine and her husband put into altering my wedding dress. I felt she was very reasonable in price and was able to be realistic with what was feasible for the dress. We had the neckline changed to a sweetheart, cups put in, and a simple bustle. The timing worked out great and they made it such a stress-free process. The team at luxury alterations were so kind and helpful. I needed some last minute help altering my lehenga blouse for my wedding ceremony. The blouse was wayyy too big, and several other tailors turned me away on sight because of the complicated design. I am so grateful I found Marine and her husband to work on my wedding dress! They did a fabulous job on my friend's wedding dress so my friend recommended that I come to luxury alterations. It was all such a relief because I was being overcharged at my bridal shop. Marine and her husband saved me from my wedding nightmare after I had a terrible experience at my bridal shop. They squeezed me into their busy schedule and got my dress done within 2 months of my wedding! They are professional, kind, and honest. They are timely and prompt. I wanted to do some extra work with my dress as advised by my bridal shop (where I had a bad experience) but Marine and her husband knew that certain changes to the dress will affect the structure of my dress. Even though they could've made more money by making those changes, they gave me honest feedback and came up with much better and more physically appealing ways to improve my dress. Marine and her husband took their time measuring and creating folds in my train to make my dress cascade beautifully after it was shorted and altered. They are creative and put a lot of attention to detail. Even placing crystal beads on my train that looked great for my bustle but were hidden when my train was laid out. My bridal shop had also convinced me to buy extra lace from them that I ultimately didn't need and Marine even offered to put them to use for me without extra charge. It is so difficult to find caring, honest people nowadays that also are fantastic at their job. I will be recommending my family and friends to them!! read more

Got my wedding dress which needed a lot of work done - take in the back, adjust the top (replace cups, shorten torso, etc.). The fabric was very thin and there was a lot of lace work. My dress was perfect on my wedding day. Marine was very responsive, answered all my questions, and paid great attention to detail. Great value and great customer service. As with all things that deserve quality work, I took my dress in early (around 6 weeks before wedding?) and had 2-3 fittings to check on progress. This definitely put my mind at ease knowing no one felt rushed :) Highly recommend! read more

Marine is AMAZING!! This review is a long time coming - I originally met with her in 2020, but ended up pushing my wedding from March 2021 to March 2022 due to COVID. My dress was difficult - lots of lace, appliqués, and beading plus it was a sample so nowhere close to my size. She took such care to photograph my dress so she knew exactly how to put it back together when she needed to remove appliqués to bring in the sides/back, shorten the length, and shorten the straps. I felt truly amazing when my wedding day finally happened. Her work was so precise you would think the dress was custom made just for me. She and her husband are so friendly, reliable, professional and quick to respond if you have any questions. She schedules all of your appointments ahead of time and sticks to her schedule! Marine and her husband did an amazing job on my wedding dress alterations. I had drove down from San Francisco to have the work done due my short timeline and as soon as Marine began pinning my dress during my first appointment I knew I made the right decision coming. Lots of work needed to be done including taking the dress in a size, straps tightened, adjustments to the bust and adding the bustle all with thick lace covering the dress and delicate beading on the straps. Love love love this place! My mom and I got our dresses at Trudy's in Santa Clara and they recommended this location for alterations and let me tell you! I love them! The wife and husband are so welcoming and friendly. You can tell that they enjoy this and they do their work with perfection. They literally did my wedding dress (so happy as you can see) and my moms beautiful blue dress. The price was reasonable but honestly I just enjoyed seeing them. I got my wedding dress altered here. My dress was complicated (horse hair) and I knew it would be difficult and potentially very expensive to alter. Mariam and her team are so skilled. My dress looked absolutely perfect and the bustles looked very natural. Their prices are also very reasonable. When my husband needed a complicated suit alteration (Too large in so many different places) for his brother's wedding, I knew Luxury alterations would do a wonderful job. The suit looked like it was custom made and again very reasonably priced for the amount of work. I will continue to go to see Mariam for all my alteration needs. They are that good. read more

I ordered my wedding dress online for the photo shot. It was very last minute and there was only one size left online. I ordered the size 8 but I should had size 2 or 4. We went to this store and hoped Khach could help me accomplish this 'impossible' job within 3 days. He measured my size and said he could alternate that within 3 days. I was so happy to hear it. After 3 days, I got my dress sized down to the right size. Look how great his work is in my prewedding photo. My husband said he couldn't even tell this dress was alternated. Absolutely love this place!! I came here back in December to get my wedding dress altered & basically resized from a size 10 to a size 2! (Long story short, bought sample dress off floor and that's the only size they had.) anyways.. they did such an amazing job!! The dress looked as if i had ordered it and had it made to fit my body. I felt the dress fit me perfectly and felt so comfortable and beautiful in it! They are very detailed and i can tell they care a lot about their quality of their work.
