After making two separate efforts to clarify why Precision's price quote was so high and why the Lowest Price Guarantee wasn't being honored, I went with another company. And, I'm really happy that I did. The company that earned my business, was not only comparable, but, in my opinion even superior. Muhammad's response appears to indicate that the companies that gave me price quotes were somehow inferior. Precision has been in business 18 years, and the company I went with has been in business longer. Precision's price quote was much higher than the competition and was for a Cadillac or Volvo sedan, not the beautiful new black SUV that picked up my girlfriend. Lastly, the professional chauffer that was our driver, was impeccably dressed in a black suit and tie. Our driver had over 30 years experience as a licensed, professional chauffer. This gentleman even showed up 25 minutes early! What an incredible experience! Muhammad, I truly appreciate your response and your generous offer. I realized the mistake when we were leaving the hotel and immediately contacted RideLux to cancel. Initially, I was told that the cancellation policy would apply and that my only option was a 90-day credit. Since RideLux does not provide service where I live in Tennessee, that wasn't a practical option for me. I reached out to request a one-time courtesy exception, given that it was an honest AM/PM booking error and that I have been a repeat customer. After further communication, RideLux ultimately agreed to refund the charge, which I appreciate. While I was disappointed with how the situation was initially handled, I'm glad we were able to reach a resolution and that RideLux ultimately took my circumstances and history as a customer into consideration. And will tell everyone else to STAY AWAY…read more On this trip, the car seat was not only installed wrong (using just the over the seat tether) but the 5 point harness was completely removed from the back of the seat. I tried to fix it but either that seat works differently than what I'm used to or it may have been missing a metal connector piece to put the shoulder straps into behind the seat. Unfortunately the driver didn't know how to do it and said other people used it like that (which I can promise you was not safe if true). He then tried to say it worked and wanted to do a make shift option to strap my kid in which would have been even worse. I had to have my dad drive my wife and 3 year old separately with a safe car seat. I took the car with my other 2 kids and all of our luggage but all in all, the main reason I have booked cars with Ridelux and not less expensive options is for the car seat. But if they don't have drivers with proper seats who are trained to do a simple install in the cars, maybe they shouldn't offer it either. I emailed the company to tell them about the issue and their first response was just that they were sorry and would talk to the driver to make sure it didn't happen again. Then I told them I shouldn't be paying full price for the ride, they offered a 10% discount which didn't even cover the cost of the non usable car seat itself. Eventually they refunded the car seat cost and discounted 20% but I'd rather just pay a company to drive my family to the airport without stress. In the end maybe it's my own fault for giving them another chance. I've used them for several trips in the past but my last one before this (last year) had my family waiting at JFK for almost 40 minutes off a red eye because the driver fell asleep in his car and nobody could get ahold of him. So yeah. This place is janky. There are too many other options in NYC than to deal with this.
