Went here for the first time and I got my nails done they turned out really beautiful and I love them but you do need a appointment and please be mindful of the prices !! It depends on what u get as a design.... now I wasn't aware that I spent a large amount on my nails either!!!! 15 dollars for a nail design per finger???? Whatever happened to 2 for 10 or some kind of deal !!! Choose wisely on your options.... I may or may not come back here just saying

By far the BEST nail salon I have ever been to. As a lady that is saying a lot. I set an appointment to come in and treat myself to mani pedi. I had grown out my normally short nails and wanted to see if I could get them oval shaped with some kind of cool design since I had seen all the beautiful and unique nail art on Instagram. Nancy was so awesome. She talked to me about all kinds of things and made me feel really comfortable. I told her I was new to Philly and she gave me a bunch of great recs to eat and hang out. When I showed hesitance about the length of my nails because I had never had them long, she encouraged me to try something new and if I hated it, she could always cut them off. So glad I listened to her. The results were beautiful. Luxxe gets 5 stars from me for quality products (opi etc) quality staff (you rock, Nancy) quality work (no need to clean up the polish at home and it stayed on for over two weeks) and a great fair price! There is no reason to go anywhere else in Philly. It is def worth the trip which was only 10 min from Art Museum for me.
Where do I begin singing the praises of this place? To begin, I'm very picky when it comes to my nails. Very particular with the polish job and especially the filing. 9/10 I have to go home and file them myself because they're driving me crazy. Over the years I've gone through phases of acrylics, regular manis, at-home manis, and finally I'm on to gel manicures. I've been to numerous places in Center City, North Philly, and Queen Village and this little spot has become, very quickly, my favorite. I reached out to the famous Mimi via Yelp! after reading all of her positive reviews. She responded immediately and instructed me to call the salon to set up an appointment and they were actually able to get me in later that day. Street parking is abundant and the salon is easy to find. Nina worked with me and gave me a beautiful gold tiger print French manicure. She was friendly and easy going, very detail oriented. Unfortunately, my gel mani began chipping only a couple days later and I was pretty upset. I reached out to Mimi once again via Yelp! and told her my problem. She told me to come in as soon as I could and she would take care of me herself. Well, I went back yesterday and I couldn't be happier! I have a beautiful half-moon gel mani but that isn't even the best part. Mimi loves her profession -- it's so clear. She is a true nail artist with a passion for what she does and an appreciation for truly beautiful nails. I told her what I wanted and she helped me pick out a killer unique color combination. She was very, very thorough and observant when it comes to the polish and design and she is also extremely knowledgeable. At the very end, when I didn't think I could be more excited about my color changing nails, she asked me if I would mind her "freestyling" something on my nails. Excitement x 10. She did a beautiful 3D flower in white acrylic with Swarovski elements. It's gorgeous. It's been one day and already my friends and colleagues are asking me about them. To top it all off, Mimi insisted that I did not tip her. The customer service here is 100% and I can't stress the importance of this. Mimi cares about customer satisfaction and has real integrity. When you walk in, she greets you by name and you can tell she will be easy to speak to. Also, and this is actually a huge plus for me, all the girls here are American and speak perfect English. This is especially important to me because I do not like when language barriers get in the way of communicating what I want or when something is wrong. Also, they are great to talk to during the mani. Even though I just got two gel manis in the last week, I still kept my appointment 10 days out because I'm sure I'll want to try some new designs! These girls are the best in the city and if you're looking for somewhere new with talented artists and friendly personalities, this is the place!
It's been a year or so since I went to a nail salon to get my nails done. I've usually just polished them myself. I decided to start going back to a nail salon to get my nails done to treat myself with some R&R. When looking for a nail salon I came to yelp. After reading the rave reviews about Luxe nail I decided to call and make a appointment. I went today and I was treated as if I was a longtime customer of theirs. It was great. Very friendly. I got a gel manicure (my very 1st time getting gel). The gel manicure was great and came out amazing. I am looking forward to going back and bringing my mother too. After getting gel for the first time I think I am now hooked. Everyone comments on the nails but they also do waxing too. I got my eyebrows waxed in addition to my gel manicure. I thought the price was very reasonable. Gel manicure and eyebrow wax $42.
I've tried a handful of different nail salons in and right outside the city (near where I work) and this place is by far the best. There owner is so sweet and easy to talk to if I have any questions regarding my service. I've never had the same woman do my nails twice, but not because if I requested I wouldn't get it, because everyone here is so good!! It doesn't matter to me who I have! I usually get a gel manicure and have had done a French, color, and accent nails. Every time is stays on between 10-14 days. They quality of the manicure is amazing as well- you really feel pampered and welcomed. I recently got a pedicure as well and the experience was just the same- wonderful. I will not go anywhere else now!
I came here today for the first time with a friend, and we both are glad to say we found our salon!!! You have to make an appointment and its cash only. The both of us had terrible experiences at another salon two weeks before and Luxxe made us forget all about that with their work. I got a gel manicure ($35) and my friend, a full set of acrylics with regular polish ($25). What impressed me was how meticulous they were and how they really took their time in all the steps of the manicure. Finally, a salon where I don't see polish all over the cuticles at the end result! They were really careful with the general manicure and the application of the polish. They were constantly checking their work and fixing before they moved on. Until your nails look flawless, they won't let you go which is so refreshing to see from a nail salon. You get to scrub your hands with a scrub followed by a nice hot towel over your hands, and finished with a lotion hand massage. Very pampering! Everyone working there were friendly and fun to talk to. The people that were already there when we came in seemed to be loyal long-time customers. My friend liked the fact that they said my gel manicure should last a month and wasn't itching to schedule me again in two weeks. We will DEFINITELY be back and recommend this place. :)

I am so happy this nail salon is located in my neighborhood! Mimi and her staff do excellent work, whether nails/pedicures or eye brows/lashes. She only hires qualified, competent nail professionals. I have had 3 nail technicians over the last 1 1/2 year and all did great work (ask for Stephanie). They use a fabulous sugar scrub as a finishing touch to all manicures, which I have become addicted to and frequently purchase to use as body scrub at home! The salon environment is clean with a friendly vibe and always relaxing hip music playing softly. The young hip staff always has great recommendations regarding trends and health of your nails. This is an appointment only business, which allows for a noncrowded atmosphere and personalized service each time. Please note that payment is cash only, so come prepared. Mimi & Staff - Thank you for making me have one less worry and keeping me fabulous since my relocation from Chicago to Philadelphia (Brewerytown)!
Omg, I am so spoiled when I come here. I change my nail style so often and each time they are gorgeous. My normal nail tech is Nancy but sometimes I do get my designs done by Mimi. Nail art is my thing and I am an extremist when it comes to designs. I truly have to say "I am in love with my nails each time." Luxxe, is inviting and warm. They only take appointments so they have time for each of their clients. I love having my appointment time slot. Never rushed. No crowds. Dedicated time for me. My pedicures are on point everytime. I love the color choices. Trendy colors and nail charms. They have so many that it is hard for me to choose my design. Bad thing is meter parking. Neighborhood is cool. I'd definitely recommend this place. It's best to schedule an appointment to get a spot.
I have been to almost every salon in the area. This is by far the best. My nails are always perfect. I go every 2-3 weeks for a gel mani. Always on point and never chips. Large selection of gel and non-gel colors. Just look at the pictures for a glimpse of the artistry do. Lex usually does my nails.

Excellent Nail spot. A small no frills spot but a warm environment, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The owner of the shop did my nails and she was fantastic. She made great suggestions for what I was looking for, she was quick and gentle on my nails. This place is also very reasonably priced and my nails lasted around 3 weeks (for me that never happens with just a gel manicure) The are usually booked up so you have to book in advance by phone and it's cash only (no apps either). There are a few atms in stores you can go to on the same street but you'll pay a small fee so I recommend just coming with cash. Highly recommend and I would definitely come back her for nail art and extensions. The reviews are great! read more
I recently moved to the area and called with that preface and they quickly called me back. I schedule my appointment and went in for my appointment Monica was the nail technician who gave me a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Let me tell you, I was relaxed and enjoyed both services with minimal dialogue from Monica. It was different but so appreciated. Not to say she didn't y'all because she was laughing and friendly she was focused on her task and she did them both well. I choose a holiday green and I loved them. I will say a day later my thumb nail chips. It chipped in the corner and wasn't noticeable so I didn't call and complain because she gave me a few coats of gel polish so you really could not tell so I went with. I had a very pleasant experience and I schedule my next appointment. The space is mid-size with 3 stations and massage chairs for your pedicure. This is a nail salon where you must schedule an appointment so call and maybe I'll see you there !!! read more

I cannot describe how amazing Mimi is. She runs a clean salon and treats you like you're family. I have been going to a Mimi for two years and she is the best! She'll clean up the cuticles, give you a perfect mani, and end with a wonderful citrus scrub. You don't know what you're feeling this week? She's got recs. You come in with a picture? She can recreate it. You tell her to do her thing? She will not disappoint! She takes the time to get to know her clients and hello let's not forget that she gives you a A+++++ manicure each time. I visited Luxxe for the first time on NYE, and absolutely loved the outcome of the experience. From the initial call, their service was great - they let me know the metered parking would be free the day I had an appointment. When you arrive, don't let the low-key store front deceive you. The technicians are personable and super talented. My chrome NYE nails came out perfect. I will definitely be back. Luxxe is Appointment only, so make sure to call in advance! read more

Called and made a appointment to get my girlfriends nails done. Left a message and the owner called back within the hour. My girlfriend went and got her nails and feet done 3/23/17. Looked amazing, she will now be a regular customer. Customer service was excellent and so was the product. Sure its cash only, but if people know that, then why are they upset? If you don't have cash you shouldn't be getting your nails done. If you don't have cash then get cash before you come or at the Chinese store next door, its not a big deal. I've been to many nail salons and this one is the best I've ever been to. From the service to the actual nails and designs. Thanks MImi! read more

This place is a gem!! A few weeks before I had went to Luxxe nails, I went to a salon in Jersey. I had never been more disappointed with the way my nails had turned out for my graduation. I had asked for "coffin" type nails and the nail technician did not even come close to shaping the nail as I had wanted; My index finger ended up with a crooked nail. In search for a new place where I could get exactly what I wanted, I came across Luxxe nails. I requested to have Mimi (the owner) do my nails and WOW....she is AMAZING!!! This place is appointment only so make sure to be on time. I came a few minutes late and it sort of threw off Mimi's schedule which was my fault but she was very accommodating. The atmosphere is nice...it wasn't crowded at all and all the technicians dedicated their time to each and every one of their clients. I showed Mimi a picture of what I wanted (nude almond shaped nails with stones on each ring finger). She refilled and reshaped the acrylic and warned me that my almond shaped will look slightly different than the picture. She superseded and went way beyond my expectation!!! My nails came out way better than the picture!! And to top it all off she used beautiful Swarovski stones and I can't stop looking at how nice they look. Lastly, they're very inexpensive here. So if you're looking for the perfect nail salon that'll meet your expectations look no further! Luxxe nails is the real deal!! read more

How much is a acrylic full set? Also, do they charge extra for special nail shapes such as coffin?
Acrylic sets start at $25, and go up depending on design. I'm not sure if shape influences a price increase. Be aware that getting gel costs and extra $25 though!
