We thoroughly enjoyed the multi-course omakase dinner with wine pairings. Exceptionally fresh and delicious seafood and expertly curated wines. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Well worth the price for a very satisfying dinner experience.

We celebrated a birthday here and had a really nice time. They even paid special attention and brought up a sushi treat with a candle in it which I thought was very sweet. A really good deal for omakase at 10 pieces for $59 and then you're welcome to buy whatever else after that. A lot of the pieces were really inventive and they were really creative with a lot of flavors.

We've been to Luya twice, both times sat at the bar. We weren't sure if we wanted to commit to the chef's tasting menu and appreciate the flexibility of ordering a la carte at the bar. That being said, having tried the 10 piece omakase, and both times having a wonderful and unique experience, I'm looking forward to trying the full omakase. Luya strikes a nice balance between showcasing fresh fish with tickling the palette with unexpected flavors. The oyster appetizers, beer, wine, and tea, are also very nice. Service has been informative and friendly without being obtrusive. We were made to feel as though lingering in their cozy space was welcome. For the price point, Luya is a great value. We will definitely return.

The atmosphere is very friendly as is the service. The chef himself is accommodating and engaging. The only negative is that the pieces are on a smaller side. My favorite ones were the scallop, wagyu and eel pieces. The jasmine tea mousse was a nice treat.

Luya Omakase & Wine Bar ABSOLUTELY blew me away!! It has quickly solidified a spot on my list of top omakase experiences across New York! Their rotating seasonal menu delivers the freshest fish and brings creativity to each piece in their 15 course omakase. The black cod, scallop, fatty tuna, and wagyu with uni have me scheduling my next reservation as soon as possible! The wine bar could stand on its own as a must-go Brooklyn destination with beautiful, complex natural wines that highlight sustainability and female ownership. You should absolutely take advantage of their unbelievable happy hour from 4:30 - 7pm on weekdays to get the best of their omakase and wine selection! The team of chefs and sommeliers put this meal over the top with their knowledge and friendliness. Luya is truly a cut above the rest and you are missing out if you don't give it a try!

This place is a hidden gem (guessing they're new.) They have a happy hour and delicious, well seasoned/prepared nigiri. My friend and I sat at the wine bar (lots of great natural wine and a cool selection) and the service was prompt and attentive. Ambiance was calm and thoughtfully set up: warm lighting and candles. Definitely check this place out!!

Luya Omakase and Wine Bar is an excellent choice for a first time omakase or if you're seasoned in eating omakase. Located in park slope, I had no issues finding parking. I love that they have a wine bar before you reach the bar seating where the magic happens! With a piece point of sub $100 for their everyday omakase course which is ONLY $89 for 16 course, this is a great steal. You can also opt for their weekend brunch priced at just 10 course $49! The chef was knowledgeable about the fish he served and very friendly. My water was always filled and my ginger as well. Overall, this was an excellent meal and I was so impressed with the quality of fish and service I received.

Fish was NOT fresh and the rice was over seasoned. Their other good reviews probably was quid-pro-quo such as "give us good reviews and we give you free drinks or 5-10 percent discount" because they did ask us before

Went here on a Wednesday night and it was the best night of the week! We sat at the omakase bar and each bite was truly delicious, the fish was so fresh it just melted in your mouth. The flavors were already unique and interesting but all paired perfectly and the chef, Wei, was super friendly and paced everything perfectly. We also had the wine pairing which was $35 on happy hour (which goes until 7) for 5 pours and the pours were real pours! I was so surprised at both the portion and the quality of the wine, Ervin helped us with the pairing and he asked us what we liked and really tailored the tasting to us which was so amazing! I've never paired wine with omakase outside of just a crisp white and he paired everything perfectly! I would say I know a decent amount about wine and was really blown away by the unique-ness and quality. They also get a lot of female owned vineyards! Def check this place out, it was 100/10.

The atmosphere here is cozy and inviting. The staff really makes you feel at home. Service was quick and attentive! The whole omakase experience is so thoughtfully crafted, and every dish offers its own unique flavor. It's truly delightful!

We celebrated a birthday at Luya with the omakase at the chef's counter and had a lovely experience. Our chef took the time to get to know us and to explain the dishes as they came out. The chef's counter was nicely tucked away, allowing for strong ambiance. The sushi itself was fresh and delicious; there was wonderful playfulness with both texture and flavor, and we kept on being surprised at how much was packed in each dish . The team also made a specific effort to do something special for the birthday, which was appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend Luya for celebrations, and would love to return for their next seasonal menu.

This place is a must to visit each time in Brooklyn. The food is fresh and the service is excellent.

I had the absolute BEST meal here tonight! From the food, to the service, to how nice everyone was, and to how lively the restaurant was, everything was perfect. You got such a variety of courses from sashimi, to nigiri, to a mini don and a hand roll. My favorites were the scallop with foi gras and caviar, the torched Wagyu with uni and foi gras and the king salmon. Again, I couldn't recommend this spot more!!!!!

What a horrible experience. Fish is horrible. Reviews are clearly bought/fake. Wouldn't recommend if you're a sushi lover

Everything on the menu looked amazing, so I had the waiter choose my dish/wine pairing and he did a great job! I got the pesto with shrimp. The pasta is handmade and the wine is natural from Italy. The pesto is made the day of in the morning. All fresh ingredients. They have indoor seating and then more seating in the back that is the perfect spot. I love the exposed brick wall. This might be my new favorite Italian spot. I will be back soon! Thank you for the amazing experience.

Instead of picking a wine from a menu, you tell your server the flavor and mood of wine you're looking for and they bring out glasses or a bottle for you based on that. The food here is delicious and I was happy to see gluten free pasta options. The pork ragu was good but I was truly impressed by how good the texture of the gluten free pasta was. For me, the show stopper was the branzino. It was seasoned perfectly and the potato crust was a fun touch. The salad was nice and simple, but didn't blow me away. Portion sizes were good, though the prices are on the higher side. The restaurant is a great place for a friends' night or date night, and I'd keep the group small or make a reservation in advanced because it gets busy. It is definitely a more expensive spot, but worth it!
