I fairly enjoy my experience at LUZ. The staff was very nice and professional. When I was arrived, they offer drinks and also gave me a pillow. I was there for coloring service. My colorist is Yumi, she was very nice and professional and explained to me what color my hair can achieve and what the process will be. Due to the fact of my previous bleach hair, the first result for my hair was two toned. I was told that after a few wash, if it didn't fade lighter I should go back and have it tone. After a few wash, unfortunately my hair didn't fade and it stayed as two toned. I contacted the salon and they were very nice about it. I went and have my hair tone. Now, my hair is in very good condition and the color is very pretty. Overall, I really liked the result of my hair and the service I received from the salon. Would definitely come back and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

Came here for a bang trim a couple times and my bangs always come out uneven and choppy. I have straight bangs and I can never get it trimmed the way I want. IMO I can trim my bangs better at home. The last time I went, my hair stylist cut off the longer strand of hair that frames my straight bangs. She acted like she didn't just do that. I had to go home and cut the other side off myself. I gave this place a try again (another mistake)and had my sister get straight bangs here. They said her hair line wasn't gonna work with straight bangs and told my sister some bs excuse as to why they could not split her hair down the middle and cut straight bangs so they did a side bang but tried to pass that off as a straight bang. It was 10 bucks for that but I tipped 5. Honestly these experiences shouldn't even warrant any tip at all. Highly disappointed. No more tries for me. read more

Been coming here for quite some time now and this is by far the most convenient and friendly salon I've ever been to. The response for making an appointment is super consistent and quick. They provide you with robes over your clothes and the service is absolutely fantastic. Lydia has been my go to stylist from day one. She always tends to your needs and will make any adjustments that you request. She's always patient and whenever I come in whether I'm feeling tired or talkative, she'll adjust accordingly. Went to try out the salon because of all the great reviews i've heard and seen through instagram and yelp! I was disappointed at how it turned out. My hair had pieces that still showed the orange hued bleach hair. After letting them know, they were more than happy to redo my hair to make sure I was satisfied with my hair. I love how my hair has turned out! The service is great and everybody is super friendly. Not only do they have great service, they recommend all the necessary tips for your hair to maintain healthy! I got Eva as my hairstylist and she was super nice and helpful. I wanted this ash color so she recommended me to bleach it first and then dye it. The color turned out really nice. She also helped me trim my bangs for free. However after two hair wash at home, since I didn't know I wasn't suppose to wash with hot water, the color came out quickly. I called Eva within a week and told her the situation and she told me to go back right away to do toning for free. And afterward it went to a dark ash color which I also like. I just got my hair colored by Yumi and I'm super satisfied by the whole experience and the outcome!! I brought a picture of what I wanted and she made my hair exactly how I wanted. I don't usually write reviews unless I really like it but I'm so impressed by Yumi's skills and patience I want to give her two thumbs up! She's really professional and I could tell she comes from a lot of experience and knowledge. She's a very good listener finding out what customer wants exactly. And fast. The whole process of balayage, highlighting, coloring, treatment, and trimming/styling took less than three hours. I even had lunch in between. I've been to many hair salons in the past that took more than four, five hours but the final outcomes were not as great as by Yumi. I also asked her tons of questions while getting my hair done about hair care and she gave me helpful advice on how to care and gave me recommendation on what products to use to lock my new hair color and to keep it healthier. Ehhhhhhh.......I just wanted to avoid terrible traffic driving to ktown so I'd give this so called only Korean salon in SGV a try. I had Yumi to cut my hair. I wanted to trim my bang, and slightly short my hair overall, so nothing too complicated and it turned out that I got the ugliest bang ever, which makes me look 10 years older and totally rustic. So now I have to pin my bang every single day. I remained what I had to do before I visited this salon. They offered 10% discount on first visit with a positive feedback. I did right after the haircut, you know you look good or at least ok after stylists blow your hair but after coming back home and washed my hair, it turned to be a different story.
