I wanted a sheet of plexiglass cut to an exact shape for the lid of my frog enclosure- which meant it had to be specific. Took a day off work for someone to come out to our home to look at replacing three doors and a window. It has been almost four weeks and we never received a quote. We had a large window with broken seal that needed replaced ..maybe 5'+ wide x 4' high. The replacement window has a lifetime warranty which is great as we plan on staying here a long time! They showed up on time, were professional, courteous and detail oriented. Also had a storm door that was installed subpar by another local company. To complicate things, we had several large puppies (prior to training) that pushed it even More out of whack. Replaced with a more Durable storm door that will also tolerate dogs better (and now dogs are trained /have better door manners). Storm door has limited lifetime warranty. Window had to be ordered and we had to book this job far in advance but very pleased with the outcome and would Not hesitate to use these guys again. Highly recommend . read more

So many installation issues! Very very frustrating. Still waiting for the installation of one particular window with replacement glass. Other windows have had their own issues which seem to be resolved. A total mess. The window has gone from cloudy to broken! This has taken 3 months already and is still not resolved. Poor communication as to time of install. I had to call three times to verify install time only to find it was no longer scheduled. After three times and way beyond when they said the project would be done, I canceled the order and received my down payment back. Another service did the project on time. read more

Ordered a new sliding glass door in July 2019, along with a 50% deposit. We waited three months for Lyndale to have the door installed, which we did not expect. Finally in October the door was installed. The door came with three defects, which Lyndale informed us were "manufacture defects" and not Lyndale's purview. It took pressure from us to have them contact Milhard to have the defects corrected. Milgard arrived 13-December, replaced the defective screen door. However, they arrived with the incorrect lock set replacement to replace the scarred lock face. They left claiming it would be put on order and replaced. We have yet to hear from Milgard. We are finally just fed up. We paid the remaining portion and don't expect that Lyndale or Milgard will make the remaining defect right. Five months for this project to reach it's tortuous end. read more

It would be helpful to know about the rebate options for energy upgrading before ordering. There is a difference between single -family and multiple-family buildings. You need to request an "Energy Audit" from either PSE or eConva before ordering. For Lyndale, the price is fair and the service is solid. read more

These guys are truly the GOAT! I was pulling into the AutoZone right across the street from their King st. Location and I hopped the curb and got my car high centered. Needless to say I was as a bit nonplussed, but the knowlegeable and helpful staff saw my predicament and came to the rescue. Using a forklift and few boards they were able to gently unstick my car without any damage. I am so grateful to all the guys at Lyndale. Cheers to them! Needed a bedroom window replaced, and while we expected some delays due to COVID, it took almost 8 months to be completed. We sold our house and it wasn't finished until a couple of months after the new owners moved in. There was no communication on their end. We had to continually call or email to find out what was going on. We are reasonable and would have been a lot more understanding if they had done a better job keeping us informed. Extremely frustrated with this business. We needed a bedroom window replaced because of a bad seal. They came out in the beginning of June to get the process started. We sold our house in July. The job is STILL not completed. Their communication has been very poor throughout the whole experience and it is always us that wind up checking to see what the hold up is. Ordered the wrong window, COVID is causing delays, etc. One excuse after another. I feel bad for the new owners that they are also getting the run around from them. We will be hard pressed to do business with them again. They offered a $50 discount for the delay, but that's nothing for the headache they've caused us. read more

Excellent customer service. Our window repair was done quickly but with care. Very nice place, highly recommend.

The screens they put in are cheap. The fasteners did not match the frame, nor did the screws that were put in (splitting wood on my window frame). One month later, the plastic fasteners holding the frame in place have broken. But even had they not, the installer left a gap at the edge so that when the window is open, there is a space for insects to easily come in. So throughout August, during the hot time of the summer, we can't open bedroom windows at all. read more

We ordered 2 exterior doors in Nov. 2010 and painted them ourselves. Both doors that they installed in Jan 2011 had to be replaced! So we ended up painting 4 doors. Wrong size trim and wrong grade were installed on both the exterior and interior. The front door is still not right but they will not fix it. They broke the rear door threshhold and it took 6 months for them to Install a new piece of plastic. It was the wrong piece! We just gave up. Dean, the manager of the Bellingham store, was very rude each time we had to speak with him. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST! read more

I dropped my screen off 8/22 to repair/replace. I was told it would be back from Seattle (not a local company?) "next Friday" 8/31. I thought nine days was a pretty long time but hey, I didn't want to do it myself so OK . I was told I needed to pay a deposit of "amount in full" so I think, why not just say "we require payment before we do the work"?? So I paid my $57+tax. Well today is "next Friday" 8/31, it is almost 4pm and no news. So I call to see if I am able to pick my screen up tonight, would be nice to have my window open now that the smoke is gone. I am told "it looks like it will be in next Friday" Huh?? It "didn't come in" I say, so no call? "Well it wasn't done in time to come in from Seattle this week", because 9 days isn't enough time to make one screen? I tell her that I am not happy that it isn't done when promised, I am not happy that I was not notified that it wouldn't be done and then she says " well we can call Seattle on Tuesday and, if, the screen isn't done yet, we can have our shop in town make it" WTH !! Why isn't the shop in town making it to begin with? Can some shop in Seattle really make it that much cheaper than a shop here in town?? I thought i was doing business with a local company, and it is apparent I am not. I will never return to this place of business for anything. read more

Met with measuring person 3 or 4 times, traveled 1.5 hours to meet him each time since each time he messed up list and types of windows, he re-measured them all each time he was there, and then since some of the windows had been framed in since his first visit but not after his last visit--tried to blame me for the basement windows being too small and the installers had to install wood trim to cover the edges, and didn't have enough trim with them. Other windows that had not been framed in were also too small, one was defective and had to be replaced, that was the only one that didn't have to trimmed. The defective window took 3-4 weeks to be replaced, again another 1.5 hour trip. I noticed after they were long gone that there was a triangular gap between the wood and vinyl frame in the master bath and had to pay a workman to trim that one in as well. On the last visit with measuring person, I pointed out another window that needed to be done, it didn't get done. Asked for discount due to mistakes, they refused. read more

I ordered 3 metal screen replacements for existing windows. When I dropped off the screens to older Bellingham Lyndale Glass lady- office manager (?); I asked her to reconfirm with the young lady who took order to ensure "new screens match old metal screens as they have to match the rest of windows on house". I was surprised to hear they were ready for pick up the next day. I drove 30+ miles to pick up my 3 screens only to find out they installed plastic screens. (The plastic screens were also pulled tight in one spot and loose in another spot.) I spoke to the older lady and asked her if she recalled our conversation from the day before? She became confrontational and was not willing to engage. I was very frustrated with her demeanor. Don't know how you can mistake plastic for aluminum screens? The younger girl who took the original order helped me out. We had them replace and had to pay for the change/misquote? The younger girl who helped us was very polite and friendly. The older gal should get out of Customer Service Industry because she is a detriment to their business! read more
