Went here after our anniversary date night, it was really fun playing the shuffleboard. Nice service, kind people, and just really fun environment. Unfortunately we got here right after dinner, so we didn't try any of the food. However, given our dinner experience was horrible (we went to Melville's Tavern), going to Easy Street Billiards made our overall night a little better. read more

Came by on a Friday night at 10:00, only to be met with a rope/chain as soon as we walked in. I assumed it was in place so someone could check ID's.... No... it was there to PREVENT people from coming in! They were at "capacity ", which was complete bullshit! The building is huge and for the bartender to assume that I wanted to only play pool is just bad business practice. I understand if the pool tables were occupied, but to not let anyone in at all is ridiculous! Never again read more

Really nice billiards hall. You pay by the hour to play. They serve beer and wine and just got there liquor license. I look forward to seeing if they get a proper bartender and how they'll utilize it. They also have a cigar humidor here and a smoking room, will have to check this out at another time. Lots of tables, standard and bar size. Nice sticks and nice equipment in general. They have leagues here also that are just starting up for the new season. It was packed on this Tuesday evening. They also play some great music here. It can get a little loud in here. Parking is really limited out front but it's free and unlimited after 6pm. read more

This place is poppin! My friends and I made a last minute decision to go in for a few rounds of pool on a Friday night. We called just before driving over and the woman on the phone said she'd set up two tables for us. When we walked in, both tables were ready to go! We gave her an ID to hold while we played and she came by a few times while we did to ask if we needed anything else to drink too. They have plenty of space and great music. NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN BEWARE!!! Disappointed to be writing this review, I have been to this bar several times and tonight while using the restroom I noticed the mirrors and the positioning of them and something was off, there is a bolted mirror on the rear wall as well as a bolted mirror on the door, the mirror above the sink IS NOT bolted, the mirrors are positioned directly at the toilet, I tried several times to remove the mirror so I could see if there was a possibility of someone being able to watch from the other side, and there is no way to see completely behind the mirror but from my THOROUGH inspection the mirror is bolted at three points, the top two corners and the bottom middle, I found a break in the drywall behind the mirror on the right side and on the back wall, this is assault and this is illegal for ANY business to do, I asked the FEMALE bartender and she immediately was uncomfortable and tried to come up with a reason that the female mirrors are bolted in a venerable position while the mens restroom mirrors are completely UNBOLTED and presumably safe, I will be reporting this to a local officer as well as the Better Business Bureau, this is a human rights violation as well as a violent act of assault, WOMEN BE WARE PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!!! If you do please please use the male restroom, it is not safe, there is a door the leads behind the bathroom look near the vending machine, please be SAFE AND STAY AWAY from this establishment!!!!! read more

Easy Street is my bar! The vibe is fun, pool tables are great and the bartenders are awesome. Some have issues with them but it's because they want to get messed up and the bartenders care about the whole atmosphere. I appreciate how they look out for the people that come and drink. I had 9 ball tonight and the bartender Josiah knows I have a breathalyzer in my car so he cared enough to walk me and see if I could drive. Nice atmosphere, friendly people, good drinks and all around great place. We went here multiple nights and played for 2-3 hrs. It was a group of 4 and we had no issue getting a table. It's a great player's pool hall. There's twelve 9-foot tables covered with Simonis and clean and shiny Aramith Super Pro balls, making things fast, especially for what I'm used to playing on. The house cue I used was in fine condition too. I went on Thu night when they run a weekly handicapped tournament. $10 lifetime membership plus $10 entry fee. Warm up time 6:30-7:00pm and then the tournament starts. I think it was a 32 player single elimination bracket but with buy-backs to fill it out (so if you lose early and there's still a spot left, you can buy back in to the tournament). I guess I made it to the quarterfinals which got me my entry fee back. I'm not sure what the payout is like farther up the standings since I didn't stick around. Everyone there was really nice, the bartender/hostess, the tournament director, and all of the players. As the evening went on, some small crowds started filling up the other tables. It made for a great atmosphere. If you're there for the alcohol, it's only beer. There's a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks too and plenty of fried stuff on the menu. Wish I would have had more time to hang out there. read more

I went here last Friday with some friends and really enjoyed it. We had a table in the middle, so despite being almost packed, we had enough space to comfortably play. I was in town for two days and one of the nights I decided to pass by. The place is located in a nice area, but parking was a little confusing for an out-of-towner like myself. There were like three "don't park here during these times" on the street where we parked. I felt like there was a chance we were going to be towed, but the only option is street parking, so we did the best we could. The place itself is very comfortable. It has plenty of pool tables, a jukebox, three dart boards (with limited darts), plenty of seating and a bar. It's a little pricey to play pool and to use the jukebox, but it was a night well-spent. It's also open pretty late, so that was nice too. Nearby there were places where you could eat, drink and dance. Great place to hangout and the patrons were very welcoming. read more

I took our after Thanksgiving group of 30 here and had a fantastic experience. ESB gave us the end of the room, which included five pool tables, shuffleboard and the dart room. The employees made sure that we had a good time and got everything that we needed. If you're in Monterey, I highly recommend ESB as a great spot to spend time with friends. read more

Not a good Experience! Went to play Pool Tonight and after playing for only 1 Hr and 30 min got a Bill for $32.00! This must be the Most Expensive Pool Room in the Country! My friend wanted to play billiards today and had heard about this place. Tables are fairly good, regulation size. Most of the cues that were there were in good condition, though I did not see hand chalk around I am sure they probably have it somewhere. I was hungry and ordered some fish and chips, and it was like the frozen fish you would buy at Costco or Safeway in the box. The woman working the counter was friendly. I however did feel that 10 dollars for an hour was somewhat overpriced. I know that its Monty and what is not overpriced. But I will probably still keep looking for a better billiards spot though i have heard that this place gets quite a crowd at night. read more
