My wife and I started going to Lynn's hair salon around the middle part of 2018. At first, we both got our hair cut with Dianne, until in one of the subsequent appointment, Andy offered to give me the hair cut. First of all, Dianne did a great job. She did well with my hair, and she did very well with my wife's hair. Andy took over my hair cut toward the later part of 2018, and I don't know if it was just due to the fact that he just needed to tidy up what Dianne had done on my hair, in any rate, he did well for the remainder of 2018. In 2019, my wife continue to go with Dianne, and she continues to like Dianne's work. As for me, I go with Andy exclusively in 2019, so if the cut was good, it was all due to him, and if the cut was bad, it was all due to him as well. Secondly, I'm not even picky with my hair. All the time that I got my hair cut, I always just indicated that I wanted the hair to be "tidied up" - I wasn't asking for any special styling, etc. So, please read my review in that light. The earlier part of 2019, Andy did OK. However, starting around March of this year, he started to become really sloppy. 1. I think there's a reason why the hair stylist's chair is designed so that it can rotate. This way, the hair stylist can position himself/herself to look straight at you for a better view during a hair cut. Well, apparently Andy has come out with his own "signature" move. Instead of rotating the chair, or took a couple of steps to look straight at me, he decided to put his finger under my chin and tilt my head to his direction. Apparently, he didn't realize that the chair can rotate or better yet (Gulp!), he could have taken a couple steps so that he can look straight at me. Because he didn't look straight at me, the cut became so uneven on the side (my left side), but up to that point, it was still bearable. Perhaps Andy should patented his signature move so that all hair stylist in the world could benefit from it. 2. In the following hair cut, I decided to inform him that the cut was "uneven". Please keep in mind that as far as I'm concern, Andy can communicate well enough in English. In fact, he spoke perfect English for all the "random" conversation that he carried on while cutting my hair. However, "uneven" apparently is not one of the words that he understood. As soon as I said "uneven", his response was this - "Not short enough?" Then he proceeded and started whacking the hair more with clipper. So, that was that.... 3. By this time, you must be thinking that I must be an idiot to keep on going there. Well.... truth be told, I must in fact be an idiot to keep on coming back there. However, my wife really likes Dianne, and since we always do our grocery shopping at the nearby Lee Lee's market afterwards, I decided that this was still "bearable", as it is just quite convenient to get all the hair cut and grocery done all in one trip. Then it came this past October. I don't know if Andy felt extra inspired just before his vacation, or if he just learned new tricks and needed a guinea pig. In any rate, he started whacking my hair, but this time, he decided to go one extra step! He used his clipper and started pressing it against my scalp. This was apparently his attempt to make sure that my hair would part appropriately to his liking. However, unbeknownst to him, this just messed up the way my hair "fall". Long story short, he must have realized that he messed something up because at the very end, he put bunch of styling gel on my hair, so everything "stuck" to my scalp. Only after I washed my hair the next day did I realize what he had done. So how bad was it? Let's put it this way.... I've never used styling gel or foam in the past, but I now had to do so in order to make the hair looks presentable! I guess I should give him credit for making me try new things! Hey.... makes my life more interesting, no? 4. He cut my hair so quickly that sometimes you wonder if this would cause him to be careless. I can understand if there are a lot of people waiting. However, the time of day that we usually go to his salon, we often were the only ones in there. So, I just don't understand why he felt that he needed to finish cutting my hair in 5 minutes. Maybe he wants more practice before calling people from Guinness Book of World Record. I suppose I should be grateful about this, since I truly was his "sparring partner" so to speak. So, I suppose if he does eventually break the world record for fastest hair cut ever, I should consider myself lucky for having my hair cut by such a famous person. I finally come to my senses. Would I go there again? To get my hair cut by Dianne is an absolute Yes. To get my hair cut by Andy is an absolute NO! read more

Called on a Sunday afternoon to see if I could come in for trim, gel mani and pedi. Luckily it was not busy - being a holiday weekend, I was there in 15 mins. First time here and love this place. It's now my spot for my one stop shop for hair and nails. The staff is great. They are super friendly, caring and detail oriented. My gel mani and spa pedi came out perfect. Nails are feeling fresh and looking clean. I also love the fact that any customers that came through that door, were handled immediately. The gentleman that trimmed my hair, did an awesome job. I just moved to the neighborhood and needed to get my mani/pedi! I called Lynn's and they were able to get me in right away. Lanny did my nails, I got a gel mani and it's the best I've ever had. I got a normal color and glitter so it was $25, very cheap! Lee did my toes, I got the spa pedicure with french tips and it was only $23. They were so nice and attentive. I can't wait to go back. They do only have two pedicure chairs and one manicure chair so I would suggest making appointment but they can definitely squeeze in a walk-in. read more

I came to this place last minute on Christmas Eve and had Andy cut my hair. I showed him a photo for like 5 seconds and he went to work. I was kinda worried because my hair was really thick, and most people just end up making it choppy because they don't know how to cut Asian hair. Andy cut my hair AMAZING!!! It had PERFECT layers and everyone has been complementing my hair ever since. It's so soft and doesn't get tangled anymore. I've never been so obsessed with my hair. Went in yesterday around noon and it was pretty busy, so my friend and I made an appointment for 2:30. I had my eyebrows waxed and I didn't get the lady's name but she was so nice! I came once to get my nails done and got a nice gel manicure for a reasonable price, so I thought I'd come back and get my hair done based on the great reviews I saw here on Yelp. However, when I went for my haircut appointment, I found myself disappointed. When I entered, my hair wasn't washed, which is fine, since I didn't request it, but I was surprised by that since my hair is normally washed whenever I get it cut. Despite showing the stylist pictures and giving a description of what I wanted, he barely gave the pictures a glance and did not really follow my instructions. The entire cutting and styling process took 15 minutes tops. It wasn't until I got home that I realized he never offered to show me the back of the hair. Everything in the back was choppy and uneven, not in a styled way, but as if "a dog chewed it off" to use my mom's words. I had to have someone fix it for me at home. I would have given one star, but the nails at Lynn's salon are great, so I bumped it up one star. If you get your hair done here, make sure to give very clear directions forcefully and ask to look at the back before you leave. read more

So I haven't gotten a hair cut from any place in a long time. I started to search places near my home so I can check them out while doing their work before I trust them with me. Hahaha I have trust issues because I never had my hair dyed and hair styles always tries to. I check out this place yesterday walked in and no one I'm like, "Oh no, wrong place." A man was sitting down stood up ask, "May I help you" I responded, "Well, I just need all the splits ends gone with keeping some length." He sat done on the chair and he went to Work. This salon is literally 1 minute from my home, so I decided to try this place out. I came in with a little bit of a time consuming design, but Lonnie was totally up for it and took it all in stride. She was very friendly and sweet. Her work was meticulous, careful and gentle. I've came in a second time soon after and I got the exact same treatment. Found my new regular salon! I found this place when I was looking for a nail place that could give my dad a manicure. He is 82 and no longer has the dexterity or eyesight to do his own nails, and I am not comfortable cutting them for him. I have been taking him here to get a haircut and manicure for several months now and they are very patient with him and do an excellent job.
